I must call the kids. I rush back to our bedroom and get my cell. I call Princess Pepper first.
“Hey love, we bought the house in New Orleans. Are your brothers close by?” I ask.
“Yes, mom I have you on speaker,” she says.
“Look we will work out all the details. You guys can finish out the school year. We decided that the three of you can have the two houses there,” I tell her.
“Mom I am going to come there but the boys want to stay here,” Pepper says.
“Great. We will be home in a few days, and we can work it all out,” I tell her.
I run back to tell Bishop the good news and he is in the kitchen with Leigh.
“What is going on?” I ask.
“Nothing we were just talking,” Leigh says.
Bishop is silent. Hmmm What the hell is going on with those two. He hired her before I could. He got her to bake a pie and now he is whispering with her in my kitchen. Something is not right.
“What do you want to do today?” he asks me.
“I think I am going to go shopping,” I say and promptly leave the room.
He is fucking her behind my back I just know it. He better not be fucking her. I am so angry and jealous. I cannot believe what I say. Maybe I am overreacting. I do not know. I need to calm down.
I go into the bathroom and fix my hair and makeup. I dress quickly I really need to get out of the house.
When I walk into the kitchen, they are awfully close again. I walk past both of them and run for the door.
“What time will you be back,” Bishop asks.
“In a couple of hours. Be out of her by then jerk,” I say and go out the door crying.
I head down the street walking toward town. I need a nail salon or spa or something. I walk down Decatur Street and see a sign that says hair magick. That is exactly what I need.
I go inside and wait for someone. A young lady comes out. “How can I help you love?” she asks.
“I need everything,” I respond.
“Okay let’s get you back,” she says.
She takes me to the back for a massage first. I go into the candle lit room. Thunder is playing on the cd player. I undress and get on the table and wait. She comes back and gives me a massage as I fall asleep.
“All done love. You can dress then come out to the salon,” she says.
I pull myself together. I completely forgot my perfect hybrid husband is dipping his meat in my secretary. I dress and go out to the salon where she is waiting for me. I get a mani and pedi. She doesn’t really say much. I guess she could tell I needed silence.
She leads me to a chair and starts working her hair magick. She puts oils and says enchantments over my hair. She rinses my hair with holy water and puts another oil in it.
She blows my hair dry and braids it perfectly. She places beautiful pink flowers in my hair. She finishes off with a light spray over my hair.
“Do you feel better?” she asks.
I nod. “I actually do,” I answer her.
“You know things are not always as they seem. Be still and listen. Do not let that temper of yours ruin a good thing,” she says.
I get out of the chair and turn to pay her/
She stops me. “No, my queen this is on me,” she says. I reach out and hug her.
“Thank you I needed this,” I tell her.
