“What a madman! Just like Zhang Mingli!” The man had no limbs, so he couldn’t even struggle. “Fine! Fine! Put me back. The wine in these urns carries the Xi God’s memories. Once you bring them out of the cellar, the Xi God will notice you instantly!”
Gao Ming picked up the clothes from the floor and put the urn back. Then, he hauled the man out of the urn and put the new change of clothes on him. The man’s body had seriously atrophied. His body was tied with red ropes. Most of them had grown into his body. It was hard to remove him from the urn.
“I’m sorry.” Gao Ming used the corpse’s clothes to wrap around the man and tied him to his back.
“What is the point of an apology?” The man surrendered, “My presence is different from the Xi Residence. If you really want to save me, at least use something that can cover up my presence, or else both of us will be caught instantly.”
“You have a point.” Gao Ming pulled out the butcher’s knife, “Hug this.”
“With what hands?” The man glared at him.
“Sorry.” Gao Ming placed the blade on the man’s body and tied it together with Chun Niang’s clothes. “This should work.”
“What a careful plan.” The man said plainly. He believed his life was already over.
Gao Ming ignored the man’s mockery. After ensuring the knots were secure, he grabbed the bone handles and stepped on the backs of the corpses as he headed up the stairs.
Strange noises came from the cellar. The hugging corpses trembled as they turned their heads around. The urns sealed by red tape shook. Viscous liquid leaked out of them. Invisible lines connected them. With a bang, the urn that previously housed the man exploded. The wine and organs within splattered everywhere.
“Damn! Go! Now!” The man screamed in panic. Gao Ming started to hurry. However, the corpses under his feet started to move. The corpses swallowed Gao Ming’s feet as they attempted to drag him down.
There was another loud crash. The urns closer to them exploded. Underneath the seals, an arm covered in gold and gems crawled out. The broken arm shattered the urns around it. A human head with a kind smile and white hair fell out. It smiled at Gao Ming and the man. It said nothing, but its eyes crawled with red lines.
“Don’t look at it! It can steal away your lifespan!” The man tried to warn Gao Ming, but it was already too late.
More urns exploded. Mutated and twisted creatures climbed out. Most of them wore black bands. They were inhumanly tortured.
“The urns contain Xi God’s memory. It uses the testers’ five blessings to sustain itself. The testers were picked from various nightmares. They were the luckiest and had the best lives. They represented wealth, long lifespan, peace, morality and dying without illnesses. Immortal Pharma used them to feed the Xi God to help it get stronger.” The man already knew that Madam Xi had been marinating wine with live humans. The creatures in the urns had already lost their consciousness. Their brains were useless to Immortal Pharma. If anything, self-consciousness would only negatively impact Immortal Pharma’s experiments. Their self was severed so that only the useful part remained.
“Run! Everything here is an illusion. What you see is not the truth. Perhaps they are trapped in nutrient tanks in real life. You can’t save them!” The man was worried that Gao Ming would try to save all of them. In reality, his worry was unfounded. When the first urn exploded, Gao Ming was already ready to run.

Gao Ming leapt out of the cellar. The commotion in the backyard had garnered the attention of the guests.

“This is bad. Once we’re captured, we’ll both be put back in the urns!” The man’s face was white. He hadn’t even taken in the fresh air yet.
Gao Ming raced to the outer wall. He was about to jump over it when he saw a giant Xi character appear on the wall. The character was made from countless happy and blissful faces. Gao Ming’s fingers could barely touch the wall before they were chomped off by the human faces. If Gao Ming hadn’t carried too much despair, this simple interaction would have turned Gao Ming into the Xi God’s puppet.

Xi God was coming. Gao Ming looked around. There was no way to escape. The goat’s enclosure was not a good hiding spot. The goats were too timid to hide them. The Yin energy entered his body. Gao Ming and the man shivered. The place had no furniture like beds or tables. There was a big red wedding sedan in the middle of the empty room.
The sedan was decorated with many auspicious stuff. However, it was creepy standing there alone.
The footsteps came closer. The Minor Xi Gods entered the backyard. Gao Ming closed the door and walked towards the sedan.
“What are you doing? This is the sedan to marry Madam Xi. Those who touch it will die!” The man whispered urgently.
“That’s perfect. No one will come near it.” Gao Ming pulled back the curtain and entered it with the man on his back.
The man was silent. He realised Gao Ming not only ignored him but also loved to go against his advice.
