She is a short Witch with flowing gray hair.
The patched thick hat and dirt-covered appearance make her look like a housewife, entirely unlike a powerful Witch capable of overseeing an entire college.
"Children, welcome to Herbology Class, I’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time." Pomona Sprout laughed warmly, like a friendly aunt from the neighborhood.
I heard she’s an optimistic and compassionate person, probably supposed to be wealthier than Snape, yet lives frugally because she often assists many Hufflepuffs who struggle to afford food.
Besides the cabbages with sharp teeth, Ian also saw the spiky White Musk in the greenhouse, not planted in large quantities, no wonder they’ll start to run out next year.
"Help me! Help me! The cabbage bit my butt!"
A disobedient Little Wizard tried to tease the biting cabbages.
He faced the consequences.
"Oh, the bite force is terrifying! Maybe I can plant a bunch of biting cabbages to challenge Hungarian Tree Bees instead of me?"
Exclaiming was a Hufflepuff girl.
Ian looked over.
It was indeed the cute Little Witch who often spoke surprisingly in Transformation Class.
"Quick, apply some White Musk to stop the bleeding!"
Professor Pomona Sprout hurried to rescue her student and issued a warning to all students—a somewhat redundant action.
After all, the bitten Little Wizard was the most typical negative example. Professor Pomona Sprout sent the Little Wizard to the infirmary before returning to continue the lesson.
"You all just saw the effectiveness of White Musk in stopping bleeding; this is our first lesson..." Professor Pomona Sprout fully utilized the remaining value of the bitten Little Wizard. Perhaps she chose to apply White Musk promptly for this moment.
"Hey, Professor Sprout isn’t Snape, I can’t maliciously guess her intentions!" Ian followed his classmates and opened the textbook, knowledge beginning to fill his mind.
This class passed without any other incident.
Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff always got along harmoniously. As someone who had secretly done his homework, William unsurprisingly earned five points for Ravenclaw.
Hufflepuff also got three points... Just as class was about to end, Ian saw the cute Little Witch seemingly pocket a few biting cabbage-sized seeds.
He wondered whether he should report her. If she indeed plans to plant biting cabbages to gang up on a Giant Dragon, his report might affect the start of a legendary story.
"I am too kind-hearted, after all!"
Ian ultimately decided not to speak up, and after class, he followed two roommates to the hall for dinner, mainly hoping to intercept Snape and get his hair back.
However.
Persistent thoughts don’t always yield results. During the dinner in the hall, not only Snape was absent, but even Dumbledore, the principal, didn’t appear.
Several seats were vacant at the teachers’ table.
"Indeed, dining privately!"
Ian turned his gaze towards the Slytherin table, and Aurora still didn’t appear. However, he unexpectedly saw Daphne Greengrass and Marcus Flint.
"Awake already!"
Ian regretted not bringing his gift.
They were all companions from the boat, yet when Daphne Greengrass met his gaze, she quickly curled up behind other Little Wizards for cover.
Even when eating, she only dared to reach out from behind others to grab food.
In comparison, Marcus Flint was far bolder. Even while shoving food in his mouth at the table, he persistently stared at Ian at the Ravenclaw table.
That look.
Really puzzled Ian.
Obviously, this guy’s brain had a spasm and set me up, yet he looked at me as if he wanted to devour me whole, are all Pure-blood Clan members so unreasonable?
While Ian was feeling quite indignant inside, a disturbance arose as a group of owls flew into the hall, delivering letters from afar to their owners.
"My mom sent me candy!"
Michael also received greetings from family, while William got a big package, but instead of opening it, he nervously hugged the package and ran out.
It took him a while to return empty-handed.
"Where did you go?"
Michael was sharing candy with Ian.
"Went back to the dorm to drop off stuff." William continued eating dessert, as if making up for lost time, considering it was almost time for the table to be cleared.
"Why not take it back later?"
Michael’s question went unanswered, and Ian wasn’t interested. He stared at the feathers on his plate with a pensive expression. If, on Halloween, he fed these owls some quick laxative potion, would everyone feel his Halloween blessing?
Dinner ended.
Ian didn’t receive a reply from the orphanage.
"Stop right there!"
After dinner, Ian planned to return to the dormitory with his roommates; however, he was intercepted in the hallway by Marcus Flint and some older and younger Slytherin students.
