The Next Day
Sanaya had four files in her hand when she strolled towards the common elevator. As the door opened she got in along with some employees.
When the door was closing she saw Nick's face. Nick, outside the elevator when Sanaya was inside the elevator.
Kyle glanced at Sanaya from his behind. Just when the door was about to close her eyes caught on his left hand that was bandaged.
"What happened to his hand?..." Sanaya thought.
As the door closed Nick turned and glanced at Kyle, "Do you know why she seemed weird?"
"Ahh weird?"
"Yes."
"I don't know..." Kyle answered. As Nick got in the elevator Kyle followed him. "Boss, can I say something?"
Gazing at him Nick raised one eyebrow. Kyle recited, "You can send me to California if you want but... Please don't hurt Miss Sanaya."
"And why do you think I will hurt her?"
"Because..." Kyle stammered to complete it when Nick announced, "You know I love beautiful things in the world. She is beautiful so why would I hurt her? Don't need to worry."
Those words by him, Kyle wanted to believe him. "Oh, and I won't go to the meeting. You attend it." Saying so he sauntered out of the elevator as the door opened. Kyle bobbed his head.
Sanaya was done working on a file when she looked around. As she saw everybody to be working she opened the drawer. Then taking a photo out from the drawer she peeked at it. A photo of a little guy with his mother, how adorable he seemed...
Suddenly seeing a message popping up on the screen of her cell phone she read the message.
Kyle: I hope you will make the right decision.
Sanaya let out a sigh and stared at another photo where she was with her family when she was a kid. Her mom was... Sitting in a wheelchair and her father was watching her when she was fiddling with a ball.
In the photo along with her family, there was another person too whom she never met. The person was... The same woman who was with the kid in the other picture.
Sanaya had no idea about the woman, what connection they had but the only thing she knew was that she was the woman for whom her mother has survived a little longer than she could.
All her life Sanaya thought she lived in an orphanage and her parents did not want her but the truth was something else.
She was no orphan but she lost her parents as they left the world then she was adopted.
Today, she did not feel like eating anything so she skipped supper. After working for some hours continuously she stretched out her arms. Rubbing her forehead she looked around, finding everybody left. As she looked up she saw Nick. Seeing him Sanaya put her hands down and looked at the screen of the computer.
Nick strolled towards her. He glanced at his wristwatch and asked, "Are you done working?"
"Ahh yeah." She nodded her head without turning her head towards him. "Great then." As he announced Sanaya's eyes caught on his left hand.
She asked, "What's wrong with your hand? Are you ok?"
"This is nothing... I am ok."
"Are you sure?" Hearing him she asked. He shook his head.
Getting up she touched his hand suddenly, looking at his hand carefully she announced, "It doesn't seem to be nothing. Did you fought with somebody?" Nick cackled and tilting closer he gazed into her eyes, "Are you concerned about me?"
Striding away slowly, she mumbled, "I... I am not."
She was about to sit on the chair when he grabbed her hand. Sanaya let out astounded, "My... My bag."
Taking her purse he pulled her with him as he enunciated, "Let's go." Sanaya grabbed her cell phone and looked at Nick from behind. The broad muscled figure was going to be her husband, the love of her life, and her everything.
Sanaya kept looking at his back as she was following his footsteps when he was holding her hand. Before when she was going to get married to Virat, who was her fiance she did not think of anything. But now, she was thinking of Nick as her would-be husband, the one she will be spending her life with.
Nick opened the car door for her when Sanaya was stumbled against him as she did not notice what he was doing actually. "Are you okay?" He asked her.
"Yes, I am." Saying so Sanaya got in the car.
On the way, Nick was driving when Sanaya was glancing at him. As he halted at a side of the road Sanaya gaped at her nails, pretending as if she was not looking at him at all.
He solicited, "What is it?"
"What?" Pretending, she glanced at him.
He moved closer saying, "I have noticed, you were looking at me. Now tell me, what is it that bothering you?"
"Ahh, I ..." She bit her lips, trying to think of what to say. As she heard him chuckling she stared at him when he questioned, "Do you want to answer me right now?"
"No, wait for tomorrow." She said smiling as she was shy. Nick moved closer again, making her startled. He touched her cheek suddenly when she broadened her eyes at him.
He cupped her face as he kissed her forehead when she shrugged off her eyes in surprise. "I will be waiting." He said in a low voice. Then he moved away, she smiled. The feeling for her new life was making her smiled, she was happy inside.
"He is caring..." Sanaya smiled again when Nick was driving. As they reached at the gate of Clara's house, Sanaya got out of the car.
Nick followed her. Strange! Sanaya felt the pull towards Nick when he was looking at her, standing outside of his car.
Sanaya turned around towards him before getting in the house. She saw Nick was looking at her. Unknowingly her hand raised to sent him goodbye.
He widened his lips, looking at her he waved his hand, she smiled and turned around. As soon as she walked into the house she saw Clara and her smile faded.
Stopping smiling like a stupid Sanaya looked at Clara and said, "I will be quick. Give me ten minutes, I will get freshen up first." And then she ran towards her room, not letting Clara out a word.

Seeing Nick everybody stopped doing their works and they looked at him instead. "Bro..." Raina muttered.
"Nick..." As Anna, Raina's mom took his name Nick sat on the couch and announced, "I am getting married. If you want you guys can join."
Hearing him Anna gaped at Raina, her smile widened. She said, "Of course we would be happy too."
"Yes, bro. I want to see sister-in-law." Raina said enthusiastically.
Seeing Maxwell walking down the stairs Nick was surprised as he questioned, "What are you doing here?"
Maxwell walked towards him saying, "I came to see uncle but what am I hearing? You are really getting married?"
"What do you mean really? I was not joking ok!"
Raina and Anna were surprised to hear Maxwell. "Did you know it? Max." Hearing Anna he smiled sheepishly when Maxwell touched his neck and walked towards the couch saying, "I can not say that I did not know but I can not say too that I did not know about his marriage."
Anna narrowed her eyebrows as she asserted, "You are confusing us."
"Nothing much." Maxwell stopped talking as he saw along with his dad Nick's dad was walking downstairs. "Dad, bro is getting married soon." Raina ran to her dad as she saw him.
"This is great news. So when is the wedding? Have you decided anything?" Maxwell's father asked so.
Nick put his hands in his pocket as he said, "Not yet."
"We want to meet her. Take her here tomorrow." As Nick's dad said so Nick nodded his head and said, "Ok." And then he walked upstairs, walking past his dad.
Raina screamed in happiness, "Mom, bro is getting married. Yeh, I am so happy for him. Dad..."
Anna smiled looking at her husband. This was the first time Nick listened to them. Even though he would listen to them but never he just agreed to do something in the instant. Everybody was happy for Nick.
"My lord, please make his life full of happiness. He has been staying like cold-hearted ice, I hope his wife can fill the gap in his life, make him happy always..." Anna wished to God.
When everybody was having dinner, they were talking about Nick's wedding. With full of curiosity, Raina asked Maxwell, "You saw her? How does she look? An angel-like? I bet my brother might fell in love with her at first sight. Tell me now, tell me more."
"She does. She is a very beautiful woman. Your brother..." Maxwell shut his mouth as he saw someone all of a sudden.
As Raina saw it she turned her head towards the direction," Bro..."
Nick walked towards the dining table, making everybody shocked.
"Why are you guys giving me this shocked look?" Saying so he sat on his chair. The chair that always belonged to him but long ago, he chose to not ever have dinner with his family, let alone sitting on his chair and have dinner in this mansion.
"No, nothing..." Maxwell and Raina mumbled. After a long time, Nick had dinner with his family. Maxwell's parents and Nick's parents were shocked and Raina was happy. She missed her brother, she used to wish may soon her brother would come and have dinner with them and tonight, her wish came true.
Seeing Raina's tears Anna asked her, "What's wrong? Baby. Why do you have tears in your eyes?"
"Nothing mom." Smiling Raina wiped off her tears when Nick looked at her and said, "Are you... Okay?"
She nodded her head, "I am okay. I am just so happy that... That you are dining with us." "Ohh, finish your dinner." As he said she nodded her head.
After dinner, Nick was about to up the stairs when hearing Maxwell he stopped. "Nick."
Suddenly he hugged Nick. "What..." He said. Maxwell smiled and said, "I am happy for you."
"Ohh." He said. Maxwell looked at him, "Now I feel like you are a man of flesh and blood. I am telling you I will enjoy to the fullest in your wedding."
"Before I was a what-if not a human of flesh and blood?"
"Ahh, that's... Haha, I was joking."
Seeing Nick to walk upstairs Maxwell sighed, "I can't accept seeing any changes in his behavior this soon." Maxwell was going to go back to his house but after hearing about the good news he stayed. For everyone, the good news was not only his marriage but also his changing of behavior.
What Nick used to not to do now he was doing them...
