Max Pov's

"Sana,'' I called her and looked around to find her but she was nowhere. Fear took me, she was not in her sense what if she does something with herself? I was looking around when Irene tapped on my shoulder and then pointed toward Alex's room. I turned my head to look at what she was pointing at and found Sana sitting beside Alex. She was staring at him, having no emotion on her face.
"Alex.. please open your eyes. it's enough of your prank, I can't see you like this" she mumbled and caressed his hair then she went silent and kept looking at him. I waited for a while to see what she would do but when she didn't say or do anything, I went to her.
"Sana"
"You were right, Max. it was not a joke" She said. Tears rolled from my eyes, seeing her like this. In a few days, She became close to my heart. She always treats me like her brother and I push her away and in all this, I don't know when she became so important to me.
"Sana," Before I could say anything further, she interrupted me.
"Shh… He is sleeping.. don't disturb him" She said, surprising me. I kept my hand on my mouth to control my emotion. I wiped my tears and took a deep breath.
"He is not sleeping, Sana but fighting for his life," I said. She looked at me.
"No... you're lying," she said and nodded her head negatively. "Get out of this room. Leave both of us alone."
"Why? Are you afraid that if I stay here then your illusion will be broken?"
"Illusion?"
"Yes, the illusion that he is alright?"
"Didn't I tell you to shut your mouth?" she yelled and stood up from the chair. "Can't you see, he is sleeping?" she growled.
"Yeah… I can see he is sleeping and soon he will sleep forever" I said and then I felt a sharp pain on my cheeks. She slapped me so hard that my whole jaw shook.
"What did you utter?" she asked, holding my collar. "How dare you say something like this?" She pushed me away.
"Nothing will happen to him... He is absolutely fine"
"he is not, Sana... he is not okay," I yelled back. she flinched and moved back. she was continuously nodding her head negatively. Tears started falling from her eyes.
"No"
"He is badly injured, fighting for life and this is the truth. You can't just deny the truth. In the end, you have to face reality." I yelled back. She looked at Alex who was lying on the bed like a corpse then fell to the ground while crying.
"He can't leave me like this... he can't," she yelled and started crying bitterly. I went to her and hugged her like a big brother.
After a while, she calmed down a little bit. I parted away from her and picked the water glass from the bedside table and made her drink water. I caressed her hair lovingly.
"You have to be strong, Sana... You can't get weak like this, not when your mate needs you," I said. She abruptly looked at me.
"Alex shared with me that you saw Dominic on the surface," I said. she nodded her head.
"He shows his presence only for you, Sana... I'm not sure but maybe you can force Dominic to show his presence and come to the surface and if that happened then Alex would get healed" she looked at me with hope.
"Alex will get better?" I nod my head at her question. She stood up from the ground and sat beside Alex. I wiped tears from the corner of my eyes and went outside the room. Emily looked at me with concern and then at Sana.
"How is she?"
"Somehow, I calm her down for a while but don't know how she will react when she comes to know that I just gave her false hope," I said looking at my little sister who was talking to Dominic, trying to wake him up.
"What did you say to her?" Emily exclaimed.
"I give her a false hope that Dominic might show her presence if she tried to wake him up. he might wake up for her"
"What? Why do you do this Max? Do you have any idea what would happen if Dominic didn't wake up? It will break all her hope and her" Emily frowned and clutched her hair frustratingly. I didn't reply to her and kept looking at Sana who was uttering something in Alex's ear.
"Please moon goddess, heal Alex not for us but for this pure soul whose only source of happiness is him. She will die if something happens to Alex."
"I don't know if Max did it right or wrong but I know one thing if someone can wake Dominic up then it is only her. Alex and Dominic, both love her more than anything else. Maybe the moon goddess has some mercy on us and Dominic woke up at Sana's request" Irene said looking at Sana.
All of sudden, Sana started crying. I was about to go inside when Irene held my hand and nodded her head negatively.
"Let her be with him," she said. I nod my head and look at Sana who holds Alex's hand and keeps his head on the bed, near his face. She was crying bitterly. I look around and find tears in everyone's eyes looking at Sana. They all were crying and praying for their Alpha recovery.

"You always told me that we never know what will happen in the next moment" I cried and brought my hand near to his cheek, caressing it softly.
"I don't know what is written in our destiny but please don't leave me... Please... You promised me that you will never let me cry, Alex," I said, pleading to him to wake up.
"Please get up and hold me in your arms. Don't trouble me anymore. Please wake up... Remember yesterday." tears were continuously falling from my eyes. "Remember yesterday you promised to fulfil my all fantasy then what happened? In this way, you're going to fulfil my wishes by getting injured and lying in bed" I said. I was looking at his pale face and it felt like someone is taking the life out of my body slowly. With every passing second, I'm dying with him.
"I'm sorry, I always fight with you... I'm sorry that I waste so much time arguing and misunderstanding" I said. My tears were falling on his face. I sucked the drop of tears that fell on his face and lovingly caressed his cheeks with my finger.
"I'm sorry, Dominic, for not understanding you," I said and laughed at my faith.
"Now, I understand how you feel when your mate is in danger. Now I understand Dominic, what you go through after seeing me and Maya in that condition, near to death. Now, I understand your and Alex's pain and how it feels to see your love like this ``I said, seeing his back which is fully covered with bandages. I looked at his face again.
"If my love is true then nothing will happen to you... Moon goddesses have to save you both. She always does injustice to me but today she has to listen to me. She had to save you… Nothing will happen to you" I said, wiping my tears. My eyes went to my mark on his shoulder which reminded me of the moment when Dominic marked me forcefully when he and Alex failed to make me understand how important it is to mark me at that time.
"I'm sorry, Dominic... I'm sorry for misbehaving with you when you were compelled to mark us, to save Maya and me. I'm sorry… Please, Dominic, come to the surface and save Alex. please... I begged you… Please come and save Alex. If something happened to him then I will lose you both and I can't bear that loss. I will die if something happens to both of you. I will die" I cried, begging both of them to wake up.
"Did you hear me? I will die if something happens to you both... I will die Dominic" I mumbled while crying and kept my head near his shoulder, started praying to the moon goddess to have mercy and recover my mate and his wolf. After a while, I heard that voice which I badly wanted to hear.
"Sano" I looked up and found my mate looking at me. A smile broke on my lips with tears.
"Alex" I mumbled and started kissing all over his face to make myself believe that it was not a dream. He finally woke up and came back to me. I look at the sky and thank the moon goddess for listening to my prayers, healing him, and giving him back to me.
"Thank you, moon goddess... Thank you"
