Kate was done with her work for the day, she had not seen Evans the whole time, and that disturbed her everything in her.
His last words were like a torture to her head , everytime it came ringing back.
"Why didn't I say yes then".
She mumbled to herself and sighed.
A glance at her mirror reflection was the answer she got.
"A maid, a cheap maid, who am I kidding, Evans of all people, not like those telenovelas I admired growing up, This the reality Kate ,get over it".
She washed her hands, done for the day, she won't stay for the night. She decided to freshen up in the servant's quarter before leaving the Hitler's.
She got there and saw the evening shifters preparing for work.
"Hy guys"she waved and went into the restroom.
She sat on the toilet seat then she heard the two girls gossiping about Evans.
"It's his birthday today, it's unlike him to be very unconcerned about it".
"It's his birthday today?"
Kate mumbled in surprise then she rushed out of the restroom heading to her room in the basement.
The girls wondered if she saw a spider inside the toilet.
She got to her diary and saw it.
"It's really his birthday today! How on earth did I forget this?"
She pulled out her baggage,got a pen and a pair then she paused.
"What am I doing?"
She put it back and locked her baggage up before leaving the room.
She returned to the Hitler's Mansion, diverted to Evan's place.
She got to the apartment door and knocked but there was no answer, the door was slightly opened and she heard faint voices from the room.
She walked in slowly.
"Young master?"
She bit her tongue remembering he told her not to refer to him as that.
"Mr Evans?"
She approached the room, the sound was getting clearer.
It was not a sound of voice but moans.
"You know you love it".
It was Evan's voice.
Kate covered her mouth in shock and disgust, but then tears came to her eyes.
"I should have never come here".
She shook her head and left the place but she left something behind.
"Someone entered the room,"Aliecia said breathlessly.
Evans fell on the bed, gasping for air.
"What? Are you hearing things?"
Alecia rolled her eyes intensely.
"I can live with your rudeness, since I can't have Andre, at least I have you".
Evans laughed out loud to his satisfaction.
"You think I am so dumb to take in my brother's leftover? You came in here for sex ,and lucky for you I was in the mood for it, anyway I might consider that if you are at least good in bed, girl you are so stiff,there's nothing special about you, not to talk about being Inlove with you".
"Don't tempt me Evans, not after this, and in love? who said anything about being Inlove, you don't believe in that, why bring it up?"
Evans suddenly lost his voice,he got up from the bed and went to the sitting room to rest instead.
There he perceived her scent, he wasn't so good in recognizing scents but in her case it was different.
He remembered Aliecia saying someone entered the room earlier.
"Now that's messed up"he groaned and sat on the coach.
His head thrown backwards with his eyes closed, her face came flashing in her eyes.
Innocent, timid, frightened and most importantly soul captivating.
He opened his eyes and sighed.
"Why were you here at the wrong time, Kate?"
His eyes went to the sheet of paper on his table.
He got up and picked it up.
"Happy birthday young master".
He could tell the wetness of the paper came from her tears.
"You don't know how you feel huh?"
Evans muttered then that wasn't all.
"I couldn't work today ,I was thinking about your question this morning, I was asked many times today if I was alright by my colleagues,I think I am losing myself, and I wish to quit for the best".
"No she won't dare!"
Evans yelled in his head.
His heart raced and his hands shook as he continued the next line.
"I don't know about your true feelings, i hope this won't hurt you as much as it would hurt me, goodbye".
