"Don't you want my services anymore young master?"
She replied trying to sound stronger, while her legs and hands quivered.
Evans eyed her sidley then got up from the bed , stretched his neck and walked slowly towards her.
"Answering my question with a question, how brave of you".
"I am truly sorry sir".
Kate apologized immediately, regretted her previous reply.
"What do you think you are doing,by putting your dirty notes in my drawer everytime you assume I am sad".
Her heart skipped, tears clouded her eyes and her throat dried up.
"I…I…I am only concerned, young master".
Kate stuttered as tears rolled freely down her face.
"Only concerned huh?"
Evans barked and gripped her neck to force her look up at him.
His dark angry ones met her red, panicking wet eyes.
"Only concerned!"
He snapped at her face.
"You know my real personality which is very different from the one the public knows,yet you kept putting up with that shit,why! Who do you think you are messing with"
He shouted at her face.
Kate was trembling, his grip on her neck was painful but it wasn't anything compared to the one in her heart.
She always know this day will come but not until he caught her red handed how did he know she has been the one sneaking into his room to put those notes ever since she was only twelve then Evan's was fifteen ,her mother was the chief cook for the Hitler's then,3 years later after her mother's retirement due to kitchen accident, she was given a main job in the Hitler's mansion.
"I…I..am..sorry I fell in love with you young master, I need this job I promise never to mess up again"she cried tightly trying to breathe.
Her knees and ankles are weak and panicking.
Evans eased her grip slowly,his heart beating faster than when he heard the knock on his door.
There have been changes,changes in his body, maybe his heart too, not sure but he hasn't ever felt his heart beat so much.
He took her shivering wet hand gently and placed it on his chest where his heart was located.
Kate looked at him,her tears won't stop.
"Why do you think I kept all those notes since the past years? Why do you think my heart beats this much?"
Evans said slowly, staring deeply into at her.
"I…I…"Kate opened her mouth and it was all he needed at that moment, he gently cupped Kate's face and kissed her deeply.
Kate thought her heart would explode that second and her eyes bursted out of their sockets.
Still scared,she closed her eyes tightly after he released her lips, her cheeks pink and forehead wet with sweat beads.
"I am grateful".
Evans' voice came calmly.
"I am grateful to be worthy of someone's love".
Kate opened her eyes slowly shocked at his statement but then that smile says it all, her eyes widened. It wasn't the signature smoke he gave to the public, being a servant in the Hitler's since her childhood she could differentiate between his natural smile and fake one.
He was genuinely happy.
"You..smile beautifully"she confessed.
Evans smirked and hauled her into his arms.
Must be the Hitler's brothers thing, carrying their women like babies, those two Giants can carry anything.
"Wait..please..wait".
Kate pleaded, scared for her life.
Evans put her down on the bed, lying on top of her,his two hands pressed down beside her.
"I…am not ready please,don't be upset".
Kate pleaded with her eyes closed,shyly.
Evans studied her closely, he had dealt with a lot of women to be able to recognize that fear, even though twenty years old Kate looked very much mature for her age still.
"I will wait then".
He said gently.
Kate opened her eyes slowly in shock.
"Co …could this be a dream? Am I dreaming?"she sobbed.
Evans smiled and replied softly.
"Then I must be having same dream too, and if it's a dream,I pray not to wake up ever again"
Kate's eyes clouded up yet again, she was overjoyed before she knew it,she leaned forward and kissed Evan's lips, he in turn returned the kiss Passionately.
Breaking free, Kate wrapped her arms around his neck.
Tears of happiness flowing down her cheeks.
At the same moment,the door opened.
Mrs Hitler stood there, looking like she would get a stroke soon.
"Evans! A maid?"
She yelled,with a disgusted look on her face.
