Getting to the shop, Jessica was happy to see her boss and colleague again and they were happy for her.
"You are looking very beautiful, Jessy!"
"Yes, she looks so gorgeous!"
Even her boss was not left out in the praises. He was so happy to see her and even gave her an extra coffee for her just for free. Exactly the way she likes it.
After getting the two cups of coffee, she went back to the company. She walked to the office and knocked on Edwin's office door.
After a second, he answered her and let her in. Jessica had already dropped her cup of coffee on her desk. She went inside and dropped the coffee on the table.
Without saying anything, she turned and was about to leave his office when Edwin called her. She turned to look at him, face devoid of any emotions.
" Jessica," Edwin called softly.
" Yes sir, do you need me to get you your breakfast?" Jessica said sarcastically. Doesn't he want her to work this morning?
Hearing the sarcasm in her response, Edwin knew he had been caught by her. She was truly a smart girl.
" No, you can go," Edwin said with a flushed face.
Jessica left the office immediately. He watched as she scurried away like a cornered rabbit. He just sighed and continued with his work.
As soon as Jessica got to her desk, she sat down and started going through her work also. She had already wasted some few hours running around to get Edwin's coffee. So she had little time to sort out some of the files.
She started attending to some files she needed to type when the intercom rang again. She wondered what her boss wants from her again. With a furrowed brow, Jessica glanced at her boss' office before picking up the call.
" Hello, sir," She answered, trying to sound sweet.
" Come into my office," Edwin said authoritatively.
"Okay sir, " Jessica said with a clenched fist. Doesn't he know that she was busy this morning?
She walked to the office without knocking. She stared at Edwin. After standing for like ten minutes, Edwin raised his head and their eyes met but Jessica did not look away.
" I need you to pick a shopping bag for me at Glenn's shop," Edwin said, still staring at her.
" Okay sir," Jessica said, walking out of the office.
Getting to the shop, Jessica picked up the item and rushed back to the office. She can't believe that instead of working today, she was busy running errands for her boss!
Feeling exhausted, without knocking, she walked into Edwin's office. The next thing she heard was some indecent moaning. When she looked up, she got the shock of her life.
Jessica couldn't believe that Edwin was making out with a lady on his desk. She quickly turned back but Edwin called her before she walked out.
" Jessica, bring the shopping bag," Edwin said, still holding the lady. Although they had stopped making out.
Jessica turned back to drop the bag and was about to walk out when Edwin voiced out again.
" Let her check if she likes it before you go," Edwin beamed, looking at Jessica's expression.
" You bought me something, Ed!" The lady, who was adjusting her top said.
They took the shopping bag from the table and she started going through it.
" Oh babe, this is so nice. You got my size right," The lady said, showering Edwin with kisses.
" I am glad you like it," Edwin replied, returning her kisses.
Jessica, who had been standing there according to Edwin's order, was becoming impatient. She was watching their action all along but it looked like Edwin was enjoying her torture. Or else, why would he keep looking at her?
Her patience had run out as she tapped her feet, Jessica asked with increased pitch, " Sir, can I go now, or do I need to watch more? If that's what you want then may I take my seat?"
Jessica was so pissed that she couldn't control herself from using an annoying tone on him. Edwin raised his eyes to meet her with narrow eyes.
" Why is she so stubborn, she's not even bothered," Edwin thought to himself.
"Ed, let the poor girl go. Stop making her inconvenient," The lady said smiling.
" Get out," Edwin said authoritatively.
Jessica swung her body as she walked out of the office.
" Pervert! I can't believe I cried because of him, I must be taking him seriously," Jessica murmured to herself.
Typing on the laptop, Jessica couldn't concentrate when she heard the lady moaning sound from the office.
" Yes, Ed! You are so good!"
Jessica was annoyed by the annoying sounds. She couldn't concentrate anymore. To help herself, she picked an earpiece from her bag and plugged it in her ears and she continued working on her laptop.
After a few minutes of working on those documents, Jessica was done and it was almost time for a lunch break.
Edwin came out of his office with the lady by his side to see how Jessica will react after intentionally making the girl shout his name throughout their making out.
But to his surprise, Jessica was working on her laptop with her head moving. He noticed an earpiece was on her ears and he was disappointed again. He sent the lady out while he went back to his office to continue his work.
Jessica decided to check on the assessment again but before she could do anything, Misha was right in front of her desk with a smile all over her face.
" You are not skipping lunch today babe, common, let's go. James is waiting." Misha said, dragging Jessica from her seat.
" I was about to come to you," Jessica replied with a smile, as she picked up her lunchbox.
" Mum packed extra for you. I told her about you and she was eager to meet you one of these days, " Jessica told her friend.
" Really, I should have said hi yesterday, " Misha replied In a low tone, as she got the lunch box from Jessica.
The two walked to the cafeteria. They saw James eating already and then went to meet him. The three started eating and talking.
" Jessica, how was your business trip with the boss?, " Misha asked, looking at Jessica with a smile, waiting to hear the gist.
" Hmm, not bad, it was cool," Jessica responded, rolling her eyes.
" What happened?" James asked, looking at Jessica. He wondered if something happened between Jessica and the boss.
" Who made you mad?" James asked again, seeing Jessica wearing an unhappy look.
"My boss was annoying today, first he made me get a coffee from a far place, and then made me pick up lingerie for his girl," Jessica ranted.
" Like Monday is for work, who fuck on Monday morning in their office, " Jessica continued.
" He did that!!!" Misha exclaimed.
"Yes, he did," Jessica said with a fume.
"Did anything happen between you too on the business trip? " Misha asked, looking disappointed.
" Nooo, nothing serious happened," Jessica replied.
"What do you mean by nothing serious?" James asked, looking at Jessica.
" I saw him making out with a girl in the restroom and I walked out," Jessica explained as she continued with her food.
" Hmm, that's hot," Misha giggled.
" You called that hot!" Jessica exclaimed.
Seeing the way Jessica reacted, Misha diverted her statement. She doesn't want Jessica to see through her intentions. She wanted Jessica to believe that she doesn't care but deep down, Misha has had a long-time crush on Edwin since her first time in Turner's company.
She had tried multiple times to be Edwin's secretary but she never qualified. Misha wished she was one in Jessica's position. The three finished their meal and left the cafeteria.
Jessica went back to her office and continued her work without getting involved with Edwin for the rest of the day.
After the closing hour, Jessica left the office. She was thinking of how she was going to and fortunately for her, James was about to leave the office too.
James offered her a lift in his car and the two left together.
Coming outside the office, Edwin saw Jessica entering James' car with a smile on her face and he clenched his fist while he walked to his car.
" What did she see in that guy exactly?" Edwin fumed.
