I gazed at her in disgust, eager to get out of here. I didn't want to spend another minute with her.
“As I said, you will rot in a cell. I'll make sure of that. Personally, I came here to let you know that Annabelle is fine. Your plan failed and you will never be able to hurt her again. You will never see the outside world because you'll be a in a four by four cell, I will make sure you pay for everything you did. Every damn thing. I want you to know that I never loved you,I always made it clear but maybe you need to hear it now. I don't love you and I'm sorry if I had a hand in turning you into this being. The Almighty is the only one who can help you attone. God forgive your soul.” I shook my head sadly and turned around.
“Fallon no! Please! Don't leave me!” She begged, I ignored all her pleas and returned back to the inspector.
“She confessed so everything should go smoothly?” I asked eager to hear a judge pass the sentence.
“I hope but I assure you Annabelle is off the hook, I'll make sure Ava pays.” I nodded my head counting on his words.
“I'll check up on things tomorrow, I need to get back to Annabelle.”
“Take care of her.” He said leaving me stunned.
“I hope you two are happy, sincerely.” I offered a small smile, stretching my hand out. He took it for a firm shake before letting go. While exiting the precent, I wondered if I could actually take care of her. Make her happy, or would I make the same mistakes over again?
One thing was sure, losing her was not an option. Even if it took three years, ten years, a century, I'd wait for her. Annabelle Sinclair is my world, without her I'm nothing. I thought I lost her but at the end of the day, we only found each other again regardless of how it happened. I wasn't good at reading things but I reckon this was a sigh that I got a second chance, I would not waste it. The worse part was over, that chapter of our lives was closed. It was time to focus on new things, important things. Things such as her happiness which is my number one priority. With any luck, I'd become worthy of her. Maybe someday, she might actually love me again, just as I will always love her. Now and forever.
