**Annabelle**
At this point, all my doubts were confirmed. Although all we had were speculations, I was more than certain Ava was responsible for absolutely everything that happened to me. It made me despise her because we were friends, she caused everything. If it wasn't for her, I never would have met Fallon. Now, after everything, through it all, she turned out to be the worse. A liar, a cheat, and a murderer.
“It was you. Everything that happened was all your doing.” I breathed out in pain. She chuckled mockingly moving closer to me.
“Well, since you obviously already know. There is no point hiding it anymore. Yes, I did everything. You know what? I'd do it all over again without batting a lash.” She spat out with no remorse, I was taken aback. This cannot be the same person who stood by me, provided comfort, and helped me through dark times. This could not be her. The person who stood before me was a murderer, how did she come to this?
“Why? How? What did I do to deserve all this? What did the people who you hurt do to deserve all this? Why would you hurt other people like that? Why Ava?” I queried, it hurt more than it was supposed to. I glanced at Fallon who hadn't recovered from his guilt yet, he kept mute.
“Well darling, I just got tired of other people getting everything I desired. I needed to do something about it so I did. Deal with it.”She clicked her tongue building the rage in me.
“You will pay for this.” I reassured meaning every word.
“Very funny. It would be your word against mine, a hunch. There is no actual proof, I made sure of that you can be certain, while you rot in prison, I'd be having the time of my life. Enjoy.”
She bade me goodbye whilst smiling sweetly.
“Dearest Fallon, the cat seemed to have got your tongue. Are you surprised my dear husband?” I cringed at her malicious tone. I understand why she was acting this way, she knew her time would soon be up hence she had nothing to lose.
“How could you?” He questioned, fallon's face was an enigma of disappointment.
“I did it all for you my love. Just you. I love you and would do anything just so I wouldn't lose you.” She raised her arm to caress his cheeks, he slapped it off in annoyance.
“Don't you fucking dare. I swear you'll rot in a fucking cell.” He spat, his teeth were clenched and his eyes had darkened.
“Oh honey, you flatter me.” She giggled, I kept mute and watched the scene play out.
“If anyone's going to be rotting in a cell, that would be dearest Annabelle. You need proof to connect the dots, all you have are baseless facts.” She clicked her tongue and sadly she was right. We had no way of proving anything.
“You were not as smart as you think, you left bread crumbs and we followed it. Watch me throw you in jail.” He retorted, she threw her head back in laughter. It was beginning to get scary.
“I'll watch something though but not what you're saying.”She flicked her tongue across her lower lips, wetting it in the process.
“What are you talking about!” Fallon barked, she barely shook or cowered.
“You'll see my dear, if you excuse me...”
“Police freeze!” I turned back in shock and froze on the spot. A dozen officers barged into the room with guns.
“Fallon...” I called out terrified, he didn't seem bother,almost like he knew.
“You'll rot in a cell.” He assured, one of them moved towards Ava and placed a cuff on her. She protested for a short while but soon began cackling.
“What's funny!” He thundered.
“You'll see. I love you baby.” She made a kissing sound before the officers finally took her away. I exhaled in relief and rushed to Fallon. He took me in his arms and I just stayed there. How did he plan this?
“How? I don't understand.” He soothed my body by drawling circles on my shoulders and running his fingers through my hair.
“Well, I got a text that Ava was here and I alerted the police quickly. I also recorded our conversation which would be enough to put her down hopefully.” He explained, I pressed my lips and moved a little.
“You didn't tell me.” I said feeling slightly pained.
“Im sorry Annabelle, I didn't want you getting worried over nothing. I didn't know if the plan would work but it did.” He hurridely explained. I chuckled at his tone.
“I'm sorry.” He apologized, I nodded and smiled.
“I'll head to the precent, I want to make sure everything goes smoothly so the charges get dropped, you should get some rest.” I nodded in agreement. Gazing at him, I got emotional suddenly.
“Be careful.” He said caressing my cheeks tenderly. I nodded once more and watched his leaving. Taking a deep breath, I headed towards “my room”
Once inside, I shut the door behind and it made a strange sound.
“What the...” I trailed off, my phone began ringing, I reached for it and answered.
**Annabelle, the inspector called, he said Ava just confessed to everything.**
**That's great. I beamed but his voice seemed strained.
**He said she also confessed to murdering you...**
**What!**
I said and I heard a strange beeping.
**Annabelle!**
He screamed over the phone, it got even faster. I looked around for the source. Then, my eyes landed on something fixed on the wall.
“Is that..” I trailed off unable to believe what I saw. A frigging timer.
