CHAPTER 38
“Who was on the phone?”
“What?” Bjorn asked.
“You heard me!.”
Bjorn looked at me and smiled.
“Fenris.” He said.
“Who the hell is he, and how did he know?” Josh asked.
“Fenris knows all. “He said in a low growl.
“FENRIS!!!” Teala said excitedly for all to hear.
Bjorn laughed.
“Was that your wolf?”
“I’m Teala.” She said through Ala.
“Teala?!” Not The, Teala?!” Bjorn asked excitedly.
Teala nodded her head.
Josh went into defiance mode.
Bjorn jumped up from where he was sitting by the fire.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“I am a good friend of Fenris.” That’s why he contacted me.”
“Please come, warm yourself by the fireplace.”
“We will leave in the morning for the Fenris pack.”
“Please rest up, It’s a long way to go in this weather.
I will have everything ready for our trip by morning.”
“How long will it take to get there?” Josh asked.
“Two days on horseback. The treek there is dangerous.”
“But you have me to guide you.”
“Thank you for everything.” Teala said.
The next morning Bjorn is finishing up with the supplies.
He even got another horse. Saddlebags full of food.
blankets and a tent.
We saddle up and head up the mountain.
Bjorn fitted Ala and Josh with furs to keep them from freezing. It’s below freezing on the mountain.
The furs keep them toasty warm. They even have fur over their boots.
After about ten hours of riding,
Bjorn stops to build a fire and has something to eat.
“We will make camp once we get to the other side of the mountain.”
Fenris
Eric, Mikah and Adam are setting in the dining hall,
When a guard walks up and whispers something to Fenris.
“She is safe and on her way here.” Fenris told everyone.
Eric breathed in relief,” When will they get here?”
“Tomorrow sometime. If the weather holds.”
Eric got up and started pacing the room.
“Sit Down Boy!.” Fenris said in a soft growl.
“She is with one of my best warriors.”
“They have another person with them.’ Fenris said.
“Do you know anyone named Joks?”
“Joks? No.
Adam and Mikah looked at Eric.
You meen Josh!!!?” Eric yelled.
“This all started because of him!!!”
“Well, It seems he was in a cell also.”
“Teala had my guy release him, and they are traveling here together.”
“Don’t worry, She is safe with my man.”
Ala
Ala, Josh and Bjorn just made it over the mountain,
When they hear the sound of, thundering horse approaching.
“Ride hard!!!” Bjorn yelled.
Ala and Josh rode as fast as the horses could carry them.
Bjorn was looking behind him, as the unknown riders were gaining.
Ala looked behind and realized John was on the lead horse.
Teala took control of Ala's body.
“What are you doing!!!?” Bjorn yelled.
“I’m ending this!!!”
Teala shifted as she jumped from her horse.
Bright red fur sprang from her body as she landed on all fours.
Electricity shooting from her fur as she stood there staring at the approaching men
Bjorn jumped down and grabbed a bow from his horse and shot three arrows.
Two arrows landed in one of the riders and one hit John.
Teala yelled at Bjorn that John is hers.
Teala shot a bolt of lightning from her paws.
Aiming directly at John.
It hit his horse and jumped around from man to man, knocking them in the snow.
John jumps up seemingly unhurt, staring daggers at Teala.
His men reign in their horses, not knowing what to do.
His men are staring at this huge red fox standing there defying John.
Three of his men start shooting arrows at Teala.
She slows time and starts to side step all three arrows.
Josh sees the arrows coming at Teala and runs in front of her to protect her.
Josh got hit with two of the arrows. He’s down bleeding profusely.
Teala yells “STOP!!!” And everyone froze, including Josh and Bjorn.
She runs in the middle of John's men and rips their throat out one by one.
After she had killed all of John’s men she gave Ala back control of her body.
Ala retrieved a rope from Bjorn’s horse.
Going back to John, she tied him up and dragged him to a horse and threw him on top of it.
Ala went to Bjorn and touched his back.
Bjorn came to, seeing all the carnage. Everyone ripped apart.
“Did I get knocked out?”
“What happened?”
Then he saw Josh frozen and John tied to a horse.
“I told you John was mine!!!” Teala said through Ala.
Bjorn nodded.
Bjorn starts to gather all the horses from John's men and tie them together.
Ala looked at Bjorn wondering what he was doing.
“We’re short on horses at my village.” Bjorn shrugged.
“Josh is hurt.” We need to keep him frozen until we make camp.”
“I can heal his wounds at that time.”
Bjorn gently tied Josh to a horse and covered him with extra furs.
“We will make camp when the sun starts going down.” Bjorn told Ala.
“What do you want me to do with John?”
“FUCK HIM!!!” Ala yelled to Bjorn.
“WHAT???” YOU WANT ME TO!” Bjorn pointed to John.
“NO!!“ Sorry, I forgot I was in a forgian country.
“I ment, Keep an eye on him.” Bjorn eyed Ala werily.
“He may unfreeze on his own because he’s an Alpha.”
“Please keep him with you and I'll watch over Josh.”
Bjorn nodded and headed down the mountain with John beside him.
They ride in silence down the mountain.
When they finally made camp, Bjorn tied John to a tree.
Then set forth making a fire and getting vegetables and meat from his saddlebags for a stew.
Ala was setting up the tent while Bjorn cooked.
After the tent was up.
Ala removed the arrows before touching Josh’s shoulder to bring him awake..
Josh screamed the moment he came to.
“I’m sorry Josh. Set still while I heal your wounds.”
“What happened to me?”
“You had two arrows in you.”
