When Tunde came downstairs, he saw she was standing guard by the door, her face gloomy like she couldn't wait to get away from him.
'Well, the feeling is mutual.' He thought to himself as he also wanted the firecracker out of his house. So he ignored her presence, didn't even spear her a glance.
'Who does she think she is and what does she take me for? She can do whatever the hell she wants, I'm so fucking pissed by her attitude right now' he seethed.
He pressed the back of his phone against the control panel and the door click opened.
On seeing them, Shegz immediately stepped forward to drive Abby to wherever her destination is.
"Don't bother Shegz, I'll drop her off myself," Tunde said and collected the car key from the surprised Shegz. He then held the door open for Abby to get inside.
Shegz was surprised at his boss's change in countenance and behavior towards Abby. He could feel the heat like anger oozing out of him and the Miss didn't smile at him like she did when she came.
'What happened between them? Weren't they fine some hours ago when they entered? And boss wants to drop her off himself!? What a surprise!
Why even drive her if he was this angry with her? Since when did his boss start chauffeuring women around anyway? That's my job. I always drove them whenever the boss was done with them. So what changed?'
Shegz thought as he watched his boss drove out of the mansion. 'She must have been super special for the boss to be driving her home himself, even when he's this angry with her.' He thought further.
The Hawk that never went anywhere without his bodyguard driving him, not only because he needed somebody capable to watch his back, but mainly because he hated to be stuck driving inside Lagos terrible traffic, was now chauffeuring a lady back to her house at a time when there might be traffic on the road.
As soon as she entered his car, Abby put her earphones on with the pretense of listening to music just to avoid any form of a conversation between them. He also knew she wasn't listening to any music, she just didn't want to talk to him.
'Like what's this girl's problem with me all of a sudden?...' He wondered, with a deep frown etched into his face while occasionally stealing glances in her direction.
Women are Headache! He could never understand them no matter how hard he tried to. He believed a woman's brain was wired to act in a crazy kind of way that was just beyond him. He tried as much as possible to avoid them and would rather go for sex bartering to relationships.
'Gosh!... How did I manage to go from just wanting to sleep with her to getting myself into another mess!? What the fuck was I thinking!?'
In all his thirty-one years on earth, he had only been in two relationships, before deciding to never try it again. The duration of the two relationships if calculated together never even lasted up to a year. By the time they both decided to break up with him, he already had enough of all their whining, crying, complaining, and whatnot.
His first, the ex-beauty queen, broke up with him because he wasn't angry at her when he caught her making out with another guy.
'Like why would I pretend to be angry with you when I'm not angry at all? You can either decide to be a whore or not... It's not my business either way. It's your life, how you decide to live it is your business, I'm not entitled to it.'
Those were his exact words to her. Apparently, She cheated on him because she wanted to get some kind of jealousy reaction from him and since he didn't see anything to be jealous about, she got angry and broke up with him.
His second had so much time on her hand that she would call him nothing less than three times a day, taking up his precious time and talking about nothing in particular. And she would still complain of him never calling her.
'Why the fuck would I call you when we have absolutely nothing in common to talk about?
'...a baby have you had your lunch yet?...and I'm missing your kind of conversation?...'
Nah! I don't have that much free time on my hand for such nonsense.' She cried when he said that to her.
"I only said the truth so what's with the crying? Are you trying to guilt-trip me or what? Hurry up, Shegz would drop you off at home when you're done... I'll see you when I see you."
He remembered saying coldly to her before he left her alone in the hotel room. When she eventually broke up with him out of her own free will, he was so happy he drank with his brothers to celebrate his freedom.
"Good riddance to bad rubbish!" He cheered with his drink raised to much more single life ahead of him.
The two exes both accused him of being emotionless, incapable of love, cold-hearted, and selfish... And they were right about their descriptions of him. He has never been in love with any woman. Never even had a crush on anybody in his life.
'I can never understand women, they sure can't handle the truth, but who cares?'
He gave them whatever they ask for financially and materially and he gets sex in return, his money's worth of good sex, at least he enjoyed that bit of his two past relationships. 'Sex' that's all he ever wanted from women and 'money' all he could ever afford to give them back in return.
He once walked up to a lady at an event and said: "I'd like to have sex with you... Are you game? Just name your price"
And she replied to him while sexily sucking and biting on her lips...
"I'd pay you to have sex with me, darling... Name the place and I'd be there faster than you know."
Such was the kind of life he was used to. He never knew how to have a conversation with a woman that doesn't involve him going straight to the point of what he wanted, which was always sex. He never knew how to hold a relationship together.
Sex with no emotions involved. Sex bartering has always gotten him what he wanted from women with no headache. He should have just stick to that instead of this... Another fucking headache that he had brought on himself.
He was deep in thought when Abby's voice interrupted his train of thoughts bringing her back to his attention.
