"Let me have it," Tunde said and snatched the watch away from Mide, shoving it inside his pocket.
"You okay man?" Mide asked him with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, why won't I be."
"Maybe cos you're acting like a dick head?" Lekan interjected.
"I'm not acti..." Tunde attempted to defend himself when he was interrupted by Mide.
"Yeah, you've been acting like a royal dick head..." Mide corroborated Lekan's words.
"Do you want to talk about what's irking you?" He continued with concern.
"I already said there's nothing to talk about" Tunde replied grouchily.
"Ugghhh!..." Lekan groaned like he was in pain. "Looking at you right now's hurting my eyes man! So what if the date didn't go as expected?... Sit the fuck down and let's talk about it instead of acting like a bear with a fucking sore head." He said with irritation.
"I'm going to fucking give you a sore head if you don't shut up alright" Tunde equally replied with irritation.
"Yeah, in your dreams dumdum..." Lekan scoffed.
"Who are you calling a dumdum?..."
"K-i-d-s!... Can we please eat in peace before you have a go at each other?" Mide jokingly interrupted his brother's squabbles like he always does.
After they were done eating, they moved to the huge living room. Lekan handed Tunde some money he mistakenly sat on "Here..."
"What's that?"
"You left it here," Lekan replied pointing to the chair he sat on.
"Not possible, I hardly ever have cash on me..."
"Well, I found it right here on the sofa..."
"Lemme have it..." Tunde counted the money and realized Abby must have left the money there deliberately, it was the same amount he paid at D'Glamour.
"What the fuck is this girl's problem?" He suddenly busted out in anger as he threw the money on the center table. "This was the exact amount I paid for her hairdo... Why the hell is she this complicated?" He said in frustration and plopped himself angrily onto the chair.
"Yeah, women are complicated alright and it takes patience to understand them Lekan said "And they don't return gifts they've already accepted, at least I have never met one who does...
Question: why would she return the money you spent on her after sleeping with you willingly?...
Answer: I think she wants nothing to do with you, and since you don't do relationships anyway, plus you have an abhorrence for complicated girls... Shouldn't you be glad?" Lekan asked looking at Tunde

He looked alternatingly between his two brothers, pleadng with them with his eyes to solve what seemed to be a difficult puzzle for him
"Hellcat huh? Mide asked and chuckled. Well maybe cos you've fallen for the hellcat, how about that? And because you're her first, you lucky bastard. Even though she has a boyfriend, I think she likes you too."
"Wait... How did you know all this? I've not said anything about her... So how?" Tunde asked, surprise written all over his face.
"Cos we saw the bloody battleground stupid" Lekan said and smirked.
"Oh shoot! Forgot I was supposed to take care of that." He said, facepalming himself in exasperation. "
"....and I saw what was written at the back of the watch, so I guessed it must be a gift from either her boyfriend or ex-boyfriend."
Hearing this, Tunde hurriedly brought out the watch he had pocketed earlier, he checked the back and saw the message that was engraved on it...
"Happy Birthday Sweet... Love, Josh" on seeing the message he flung the watch away irritatingly to join the money on the table.
Both his brothers chuckled, they were amused and amazed at his childish behavior. This was not the cold-hearted brother they've always known who had neither showed love nor hatred towards the women he's been with.
This man right here looks like he's been finally caught in the net of love and his frozen heart is finally getting thawed.
"Believe me he isn't an ex." Tunde grudgingly replied Mide's question.
"Okay, now let's patiently think and solve this complicated, quote-unquote woman of yours..." Mide continued.
"Her wanting to cut ties with you might mean so many things... She might be feeling guilty about cheating on her boyfriend or the problem might even be you, Tunde."
"Me!? How could the problem be me?..." Tunde asked defensively and started to list out the reasons why it wasn't his fault for his brothers to consider.
"She was annoyingly bold, not afraid to use her whip-like, razor-sharp tongue on me.
She overreacted at every little thing, even called me a pervert just cos I looked down her dress...
And do you know how many times I've apologized to her in the past ten hours?... I Olatunde Paul Beckley, apologized to a woman? Can you believe that?" He scoffed as if the idea was preposterous.
While he was busy ranting, he didn't notice his brothers who were seriously laughing at him.
"...then after we made love..." he tried to continue his conversation before he was rudely interrupted by Lekan.
"Oh Woah!... You said what!?... You MADE LOVE with her not have SEX right?" Lekan tried to emphasize the keywords, just to be sure Tunde realizes the difference between making love and having sex.
"Yes!" he snapped at Lekan, irritated at him for the interruption. He didn't get the reason behind Lekan's question.
"Please do go on, sorry for interrupting you," Lekan said and sniggered.
"After we made love, she locked herself in the bathroom and wouldn't stop crying and I don't just understand... Why cry!? She never told me she was a virgin otherwise I wouldn't have touched her, plus she came willingly to me, not that I forced her!"
"Since I couldn't get her to stop crying, I was irritated and we ended up having an argument here, which continued in the car... And I might have said some things I didn't mean to her... You know what I'm saying?"
Her stupid boyfriend was even waiting with open arms when I dropped her off... I watched her ran straight into his arms. I swear, I seriously wanted to do some grievous bodily harm to him if presented with the opportunity.
