In his living room upstairs, Abby immediately sat down on the floor folding her legs the quarter-lotus style.
"You okay like that...why not sit on the chair?" He indicated towards the other gamer's chair.
"Nah I'm good, thank you" she smiled at him.
"Aiit then," He said, dragging his chair to stand right beside her before sitting down. Abby picked the two controllers and handed him one. He switched on the tv and the screen lit up immediately displaying the picture of Eden Hazard, the captain of the Belgium national team and attacking midfielder for the Real Madrid football club.
"So which game would you like to play?" He asked.
"FIFA"
"No, you can't play that. Football games are very hard, they are not aimed at women. Why don't you pick another game?... What about 'grand theft' or 'resident evil'?" He explained gently to her.
Abby was amused by what he said, 'they are not aimed at women huh?... I guess I'll have to prove you wrong then...and teach you to never, ever judge a book by its cover.' She thought, secretly laughing at him.
"No... HI want FIFA, let's play it, pleaseeee" she drawled her words, pouted, and looked up at him with her big soulful eyes.
'What's the matter with this girl? Doesn't she know the effect she has on me?' He thought but said...
"You need to stop looking at me like that if you want me to respect the fact that you have a boyfriend."
"Looking at you like what?" She asked confusingly. "I don't know what you're talking about"
"Never mind," he said with a false smile and went straight to the game, explaining the basics and showing her the buttons she would use to pass and also shoot the ball.
"Don't worry, I'll go easy on you so you can easily get the hang of it" he assured her with a smile.
Abby smiled back at him thankfully. 'if only you know that I eat and sleep FIFA game' she inwardly laughed at him. She couldn't wait for them to start the game so she could give him the shocker of his life.
"Which team would you like to play with?"
"Barca, I'm a fan," she said proudly with a smile on her face.
"Oh really?... Name three Barca players then," he said, doubting if she could even name one. Most ladies support a team not because they are a fan but because their hubby supports the team.
"Oh...okay" she laughed..."Messi, Suárez, Griezmann, Piqué, Dembélé, Vidal, Braithwaite...should I continue?" She named seven and stuck her tongue out at him tauntingly.
"Your boyfriend also a Barca fan?" He asked, surprised at how much she knew. 'Or maybe she learned about the team because it was also her boyfriend's team?' He wondered.
"Nope, my boyfriend's team is Arsenal. Which team are you playing with...should I give you their names too?" she asked and smiled at the unbelievable look he had on his face.
"Arsenal" he answered simply annoyed that her boyfriend and he support the same team.
"Arsenal fan huh? Well, that explained the red and white themed color everywhere" she said looking around his living room. Okay, Arsenal team members...
Lacazette, Özil, Bellerin, Aubameyang, Pépé, Xhaka, Mustafi, Luiz, et cetera..." She answered smugly.
"Now can we play please?... and remember to go easy on me okay?" she said and laughed, her tone was taunting him.
"Well...aren't you full of surprises? He said sarcastically when he caught on to her antics.
The game kicked off and they started to play. He let her score the first goal, and then the second goal, after that he started to play a bit more like himself when he noticed she wasn't playing like a novice that he thought she was.
After she scored again, he then started playing her like she were a worthy opponent till the game ended and Abby won 8 - 2. When she scored the last goal, Abby jumped up from where she was sitting on the floor and shouted "go-a-l!!" Like she was watching a real-live match.
He stood up from the gamer's chair and slumped on the sofa. He watched her, bewildered as she danced around singing, the song 'stand up for the champion' by the British band, Right Said Fred.
She had forgotten she was wearing only a t-shirt, as she was dancing and jumping, her shirt was riding up, almost showing her bikini panties.
'She whopped my ass! Unbelievable!' He thought as he watched, clearly dazed by her bum that jiggled under the shirt. He wishes she could continue the dance without stopping because he was enjoying the show she was unknowingly giving him.
Whoever would believe that a girl could beat him comfortably at a soccer game. Who exactly is this girl...and is there no end to the things she can do to him?
