"You got a lot of explaining to do."
I scoffed and rolled my eyes. I grabbed the blanket and pulled it over me. I lied down, facing away from him. He just chuckled.
"Come on, sweetheart. Stop acting cute and let's talk."
I ignored him.
"Okay. Then, I'll talk."
I ignored him again. I closed my eyes, pushing the sleep back.
"I'm sorry if what I'm doing came out wrong. I just want to let you know that I never plan on letting anyone know about your secret. I mean it would be stupid of me to do that knowing I don't want to share you with anyone." I stilled as my heart jumped at his words. "I know that I was always teasing you about it or somehow came off that I’m trying to spill your secret. Sweetheart... it's not. It's just that I enjoy your reactions. I love seeing how you squirm or get mad or glare at me or how you pull me away so you could shut me up. You're so cute and beautiful that it's hard to control my emotions."
I didn't say anything. I was acting as if I was ignoring him. My heart was beating so loud. There's tingles of excitement crawling in my skin. The feeling was pushing a quirk in my lips.
"I know I'm supposed to apologize for punching the hell out of your friend's face but I'm not the least bit sorry." I frowned, slowly facing him. "Because he deserved it. My jealousy allows it." He admitted in a deadpan. We're looking at each other's eyes with both pensive looks. While my face was holding a slight frown, his held a slight bliss mixed with a bit of seriousness. I could see it on the curve of his lips and the crease of his eyebrows.
He's right. He wasn't the least bit sorry at all.
"I talked to him, you know. He told me the truth." He frowned. "He lied to you, Keelan. I want you to know that and he was wrong." His frown turned into a full blown smile. Pretty sure he's happy that what Deon said was completely untrue but it was my turn to frown. "But you should've not done what you did cause it's wrong too." He frowns again.
"Why were you jealous?" Why was he? Deon and I are close but we're not lovers. Is it not obvious?
Keelan chuckled. "Remi was right." I frowned. Why was he suddenly bringing up Remi? He noticed my confusion. "You know, a while ago... maybe more than awhile- I confessed to Remi that I like you." My eyes widened and from the smirk he was showing, he was amused. "He said if I wanted to date you, I need to spell it out clearly, word for word, every letter of the whole goddamn feelings. He said you're naive when it comes to guys liking you. It's not even an assumption because both he and Mila were witnesses to the extent of your ignorance. Of course I was beyond ecstatic of your innocence and instead of telling you my intentions, I did the opposite. I was toying with you... and I enjoyed it.” His frown deepened. There was a hint of guilt in his expression. “But know that my feelings are real despite me acting like an ass."
"Beneath this prince charming... is a devil who's in love with you."
We stare at each other. His eyes sparkled with emotions and I wondered if mine was the same. No one managed to continue the conversation. He remained quiet while I didn't reply to his confession. It felt like it fell on deaf ears but I know I heard it very well. Every word of it. My strong heartbeat was the witness. Hence why I am feeling this way.
The emerald green in his eyes. The swirls of amber in them. Pink plump lips caressing mine. My fingers combing his wavy brown hair that was getting longer day by day. His warm hand pressed against my cheek. Its thumb stroking it along the way.
"Keelan..." I almost moaned against his lips. "I’m still sick."
"Let's get sick together."
I giggled. "I love you."
He stops. I stop. The whole world stops. Our eyes both widened as we looked at each other.

"What? No, that came out wrong. What I meant was. I love you. I mean I really like you. I mean you know. Like I love chocolates. You know what I mean…" I trailed off after rambling nonstop. His face was still shocked.
Okay~ That's just fucking embarrassing.
He then let out a small smile and lifted himself up from our intimate position. "I know." He chuckled. "If you're that shocked, I'm doubting the truth now." My mouth opened to speak but nothing came out. I was still beyond surprised with the sudden confession my mouth unexpectedly and embarrassingly spilled. "But I guess we can start with “I love you like a chocolate"." I blushed as I averted my sight from him. He laughs even more and kisses my cheek.
“I wanna ask you something.”
I turned to him. “Since when do you actually ask permission?” He chuckled.
He paused for a while before blurting out his question. “The song…fell in love with the devil, was it?” I blushed even more. “We all know that the only devil here is me.”
I was blushing so much and Keelan was relishing at the fact that he was the reason. He opened his mouth to say something again but I cut him off. “No! Shut up!” I covered my eyes and closed it. Keelan bursts in laughter. I know he’s going to say something that will feed his ego even more. He’s going to rub it in my face, especially now that I confessed.
Speaking of confession.
I turned to him as I remembered something. "I have a confession to make."
He smirked playfully. "Oh? Two confessions tonight? Wow, I'm on a roll." He gave his joke a short quiet laugh.
I blushed, embarrassed at just the thought. "Remember Darren West?"
He ponders. "The talent manager that you mentioned who was offering your band a contract?"
"Yes, him." He nodded for me to continue. "Well, he came to visit Diatonic. He expected the band would be there but I was the only one there instead. I guess it was favorable for him since he had other plans. He wanted me to accept his offer alone. He said if I accept, he'll make me famous all over the world. He'll make sure that everyone in the world knows who I am. He said my friends will only hold me back." Keelan's eyebrows creased as he listened to me. "I got mad. I even told him who I am. I told him if I wanted to rule the world I could have used my family name and my connections." I blushed for the incoming confession. "I told him that if my family wouldn't support it, my boyfriend would make sure of it. My boyfriend who was Stefano Ranallo's brother-in-law."
I got redder and redder as the words gradually were out of my mouth. But Keelan just gave me his biggest grin he ever made
