"Am I really the only one who didn't know his feelings for me?"
He drank his scotch and answered me. "Yes. Everyone can see how smitten he is with you, Kai. Everyone except you. How did it go though? You visited him in the hospital, right?"
I sighed. "Don't even remind me. Things right now aren't going well, Drei. I still have issues with my family." I drank again.
"Did you really not tell Dustin and the others who you really are?"
"I didn't. There are only two people who really knew my secret and that's my two best friends. Well, three when Keelan found out who I was."
"Oh, that boyfriend of yours who's head over heels for you." He grinned as he teased me. I just glare at him.
"Now, four, when I had to explain to you what I blurted out with that stupid manager." I rolled my eyes.
"You know you can always stay at my apartment if you have nowhere to go. You're welcome there, Kai."
I smiled. "Thanks. I'm staying with Mila for now."
"Well, if you need any help or anything, I'm always here. Call or come here. I'm always ready to help or your shoulder to cry on."
I smiled at him. "Thank you, Drei. You're already a big help right now. I really could use a company. Mila and Remi already did so much for me. I'm at a level where it's already embarrassing."
"It's a good thing you're here then, girlfriend." He said in a girly manner which made me burst in laughter.
I decided to go home when the club was already flooded with customers. I didn't know why but I suddenly felt suffocated at the atmosphere. I'm supposed to be used to this kind of scene. I guess I just wasn't feeling well at the first place. My head is still aching and so is my body. My throat's still hurting too.
I sighed while walking under the rain. I should've taken Andrei's offer when he wanted to drive me home. I didn't want to hold him back from his work any longer. I thought of stopping by at a cafe and drink a hot cup of coffee and get sober before going back to Mila's house. I thought of walking and sorting my mind along the way. I mean a lot just happened including this rain.
I faintly heard my phone ringing but my mind was clouded and I feel like I'm going to sleep in the middle of the sidewalk. I was really exhausted and I just want to go home and sleep... probably forever.
"Yeah?" I answered dazily. I heard Mila's screaming on the phone but I wasn't really listening. And then I fell asleep.

"Maybe I should really just marry her." Worry etched in his voice.
She gasped. "Don't be stupid. You know she won't be happy with that."
"Then what should we do to help her? I can't take anymore of her father's shit, Mils."
"First thing we do for now is calm down. She won't be happy that we're acting like two crazy parents."
"Oh, god. Why can't you two stop bickering for once?" I said groggily. My hand went instantly to my head, the headache was still present. I doubt it was pre existing or Mila and Rems were the causes.
"Oh my god you're awake! You made us so worried, Kai. Oh my god!" She immediately sat down on my bed. I noticed Remi eyeing Mila in disbelief, his eyebrow raised in a perfect arc. She just shrugged.
"I'm disappointed in you, young lady. You've been reckless." Remi added. His index finger waving at me while his other hand was on his hip.
"Where are we?" I asked instead. "Are we in the hospital?" I eyed the blinding white all over the room and the equipment that was only present in hospitals.
"You are. Someone found you passed out in the middle of the street." Mila answered. "I called you. You weren't saying anything when I talked to you. I heard something falling to the ground. It felt like it was your phone. I panicked. We searched for you all over the city. Even Andrei helped. He felt responsible for letting you go without him."
I frowned. "I thought I fell asleep. Was I daydreaming?" I suddenly felt skeptical of what had happened. "What happened?"
Mila sighed heavily. "You had a high fever, Kai. You fainted because you made it worse when you're walking your ass outside while it's raining. The girl who found you was kind enough to call Mila, your recent contact." Remi answered for her.
"Oh."
"Oh? Fucking hell, Kai, you were almost diagnosed with pneumonia just because you ignored your symptoms." He was angry. His nostrils flared while scolding me. "How can you be so irresponsible?"
"Rems, shut up. She's been through a lot."
"No. We're worried sick for you. Mila's gone crazy looking for you. You should've even seen Keelan who's gone through hell and back." He exclaimed. My eyes widened. He was there?
"Yes, he was there. Still here actually." Mila answered the question from my mind. "I called you because he was waiting for you in the house. You were taking longer so I decided to call you. I'm glad I was being impatient. We were here in time for you."
"I'm sorry for the trouble. I didn't know I was having a fever. I thought it was just a worst case of hangover."
"Just don't do it again. Please. Don't make us get so worried again." Remi came to me and hugged me. He then kissed my forehead.
I hugged him back, circling my arms around his waist. "Love you, guys."
"Love you too." They said together. Remi then let go.
We heard the door creaking open. Keelan came in. Remi and Mila greeted him. He gave the two cups of coffee to them. They both thanked him.
"You alright now?" He asked. His voice was soft and warm. I nodded. He still touched my forehead.
"The doctor said she's fine for now but her temperature is still a bit high so she's gonna stay here for awhile, probably a couple of days until she's cleared." Mila stated.
"You guys should go home. It's already past midnight. I'll stay here." Keelan offered.
Mila nodded and got up from my bed. She hugged me and kissed my cheek. Remi followed and kissed my forehead the second time. "Good night, Kai." He pinched my cheek.
"Watch over her, okay? Call us when she's being a trouble again." I glared at Mila. She just laughed. They both bid their good nights and goodbyes and left the room.
Keelan sat on my bed, where Mila previously seated.
"You got a lot of explaining to do.
