He recalled how his life was full of darkness and loneliness before she entered it. She pulled him out of his dark world and stayed by his side, making sure that he wouldn’t feel lonely again.
He also recalled how he ended up ruining everything by breaking her trust and her heart. Liara recalled the heartbreak that he gave her and how she ended up rejecting him.
And finally, today was the date when they marked each other, giving each other a chance. Liara recalled how she went against everyone to be with him, and finally, now, after three years, she had everyone in her life.
She always wanted to claim her mate with the blessing of her parents, and finally, today was the day.
‘Stop staring at me in that way. It’s like you’re fucking me with your eyes.' Liara's mind linked him, blushing slightly.
‘That’s because I can’t LITERALLY fuck you.' He responded. They hadn’t marked each other yet, but they were still in the same council. Though their wolves wanted to have their own separate bonds.
"Eleazer, you have to give your mom’s hand to your dad." Brandon guided him when he took Liara’s hand and placed it in Theodore's. Coping Brandon, Eleazer did the same. Brandon gave Theodore a nod and he returned with a nod. It was silent talk between them.
"Come on, Eleazer," Brandon said, carrying Eleazer and joining where Sophia was standing, holding Griffin in her arms while Theodore guided Liara toward the altar.
"How do I look?" Liara asked, knowing that no one could hear their conversation.
"You look like a witch." He responded, widening Liara’s eyes. What kind of compliment was that? "I mean, from the moment my eyes landed on you. I can’t see anything else," he explained, pressing his lips on her hair. "Fucking enchantress!!"
Liara smiled at his weird compliment. At first, the witch then became an enchantress. The Enchantress was a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics.
She couldn’t understand whether he was trying to impress her or insult her.
"Thank you. You, too, look like a devil under the coat of an angel." Liara complimented him, to which Theodore laughed.
In the next moment, the ceremony began: "I’m repeating this again because I promised you that I would speak the same lines at our wedding." Theodore said, to which Liara grinned widely, "All my life, I had no one by my side. You were the first person who cared and loved me even though I didn’t deserve it."
"I had never learned to speak; please, sorry, thank you, and all these types of words until I met you. Your arrival brought a wave of emotions inside me. Though I’m more than a hundred now, I’m still learning a lot of things. I have never said this to anyone before, but the truth is that I’m scared of loneliness or the thought of being left alone. I’m scared of not being good enough for you because I bet there are a lot of good people out there that deserve you. But then, I’m selfish."
"I know I’m not the best mate that you can have, even though you will tell me that I’m perfect for you. You have expressed your love for me countless times, but still, I’m scared of you leaving me." Theodore expressed. "No. Don’t think that I doubt your love for me or anything like that. It’s just that I have seen a lot of worse things in my life. That’s why I can’t help thinking about the worst situation."
"When I confess that I love you, it means that I love everything about you. I love the scar under your chin, and I will love the stretch marks that you have. I love how your eyes lighten whenever you look at me. I love how you sleep peacefully in my arms. I love how a curve appears on your lips when you tease me by calling me ‘Odo.’"
"Loving me was difficult for you because my guard was always up, and I was very rude to you, but to me, loving you was so easy. All I want to say is that don’t let your insecurities come between us, and I promise to do the same." Theodore repeated the same confession just like Liara wished, and even though Liara was listening to him for the second time, she couldn’t stop herself from crying again.
