"I will be there in ten minutes. Yeah! Shopping is almost done." Liara said to Theodore that she was holding all the bags and waiting for Moana, who was using the restroom. All of a sudden, her eyes landed on someone who looked familiar.
"Bye now. Love you." With that, she disconnected the call and looked at the man in front of her, who looked like a carbon copy of Lestat, but nope, he wasn’t Lestat for sure. Not just that he was a carbon copy of Lestat but also that he looked like Theodore, but unlike Theodore, he was less bulky and had fewer muscles in his body.
‘He must be one of Lestat’s pups.' She thought, but at the same time, she didn’t know how many offspring that man had. ‘Is he here for me? To keep an eye on me?’
She couldn’t help but start following him. He reached a man, who gave him something in the packet. They nodded at each other, and the man who gave him the packet left there. The other one was a vampire, but Theodore’s brother's scent was like a human's.
'Is he a human?'
She hid quickly when he turned his head in her direction.
"Seriously? You hide behind the wall, but you should know that I can still smell your scent." Liara mentally cursed herself for being so stupid. "I’m sure that you can hear my voice, she-wolf. Care to explain why you're following me?"
Liara finally showed her face to him and found him standing where he was. She heard all those things because of her hearing skills.
"What are you? You smell like a human, but then how can you sense me?" She asked, standing where she was. Her gut feeling was telling her that he meant no harm.
"Have you heard ‘Mind your own business’ ever?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Now, why were you following me?" He asked, and his eyes landed on her tiny baby bump.
"You look familiar. You look like my mate." Liara replied and saw him glaring at her. He started leaving from there.
"I don’t know what you're talking about, she-wolf. Go away."
Liara started walking behind him, saying, "You exactly know what I'm talking about, Mister. You're Lestat’s son, aren’t you?"
"Stop following me."
"Then stop running away. Can we talk?"
"No"
Liara quickened her step when she saw him running on the escalator. "Ahh.." She cried in horror when her leg slipped, and she felt like she would fall down at any moment, but in the next second, the man who was running away from her held her from falling from the escalator.
"I told you not to follow me."
"You’re a Dhampir, half human, half vampire," Liara muttered, sensing him.
"Wow!! You’re a genius." He said sarcastically, and once they finally landed on the second floor, he spoke, "Now, stop.."
"Can we talk, please? It’s urgent. I wouldn’t have been stalking you in this state if the matter hadn’t been serious." Liara requested.
"What is it?"
"Are you with Lestat?"
"With Lestat? That bastard...." he shouted, but immediately lowered his voice, realizing where he was. "... raped my mother. If things had been in my hands, I would have killed him. So, what’s your point here?"
"I’m sorry about your mother. He did this, not with your mother, but with a lot of females out there." Liara spoke softly and released her aura to calm him down, which he did. "Coming back to the point, if you want to kill him, then you can join hands with us because we are planning to do the same."
"Really? And how the hell can you find him?" He mocked her.
"He will come for me."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, I’m his next target, umm, I didn’t catch your name."
"Now he is after a girl who is barely eighteen years old." He said, looking at her in confusion. "I would have considered you underage, but knowing that you’ve found your mate, you must be eighteen."
Liara blushed at that compliment before correcting him: "Actually, I’m twenty-seven. What's your name, by the way?"
"May I have your hand?" he asked, ignoring her question again.
"Umm... yeah," Liara agreed and gave her hand into his, wondering if he could see the future or something. The moment he held her hand, she saw his eyes shine a beautiful baby blue.
"You’re also a wizard." She whispered.
"He will come for you on the day your baby will open his eyes in this world." Liara didn’t miss noticing that he used ‘his eyes'. It meant that she was pregnant with a boy.
"And what date is that?"
The person stopped using his power and looked at her, saying, "I don’t know that. Leave now because he will be here anytime soon." With that, he left from there and covered his head with his hoodie.
"Are you by any chance his firstborn?" Liara asked, but she didn’t follow him, knowing that his senses were great after all; he was half a vampire.
"Yes!! Now, 49 seconds left. Hurry up if you don’t want to get kidnapped."
