FALLING FOR A FAKE OMEGA Chapter 24

Kenneth held his stomach as he repeatedly went back and forth to the bathroom. He didn't know what he ate, but his stomach suddenly started hurting after dinner. He wanted to call Sabrina to bring him some medicine, but he was afraid that she would just laugh at him, so he decided to stay quiet and endure the pain alone. Besides, her stomach might also hurt because they ate the same thing. He was tired of going back to the bathroom, but he had to do it to avoid making a mess in his room. Every time he dozed off due to extreme drowsiness, he would suddenly feel the urge to relieve himself. Around two in the morning, Kenneth thought of going out of his room to cook noodles or anything that could soothe his stomach. Besides, he had already emptied everything he ate for dinner, so he was hungry again. "What are you doing here?" he raised his voice when he found the woman in the kitchen. "My stomach hurts, I can't sleep, so I cooked a chicken soup. Are you okay?" Sabrina asked him because he looked pale and weak. "Sit down there," she said to Kenneth and went to the stove to turn off the fire. After removing the pot from the fire, she quickly took two bowls from the cupboard and served him. "Finish it," Sabrina said when she handed the bowl of chicken soup. Kenneth didn't complain and followed Sabrina's instructions. "Does this have any poison?" Kenneth hesitated to taste Sabrina's cooked soup because she had played pranks on him yesterday. Sabrina took the bowl in front of Kenneth and swapped it with hers. "If there's poison, I would be the first one affected," she insisted. "Just making sure," Kenneth replied. After they finished eating, Kenneth felt a little relief. However, it was short-lived as his stomach started hurting again. He didn't care anymore and headed back to the bathroom near the kitchen. Meanwhile, Sabrina was concerned about her husband’s condition. Even though she deliberately caused his stomach pain, she couldn't deny that Kenneth was still human. She followed him and knocked on the bathroom door. "Are you okay?" she asked. "Just go away!" Kenneth shouted. "Okay, but if you need anything, I'm just here," Sabrina instructed before returning to the kitchen to clean up their dining area. She had been waiting for Kenneth to come out of the bathroom, but he had been inside for almost an hour, so she became worried. She feared that the man might have overdosed on the slimming tea she had given him. She ran back to the bathroom and relentlessly knocked on the door until it opened, and Kenneth came out weakly. "Should I take you to the hospital?" she asked him, but he firmly refused, so she just supported him. "Thank you," Kenneth said before the woman left his room. Sabrina suddenly felt guilty for what she had heard because it was her fault that his stomach was hurting. It was her fault that he suddenly had diarrhea. She might have put too much slimming tea in his drink. Before closing the door, she turned around to look at him. “Just leave,” he said. “I’m sorry,” she apologized. "Buy me some medicine," Kenneth called out to the woman who was about to leave and he tried to get up to get the car keys. Then he threw it at her. "Come back immediately," he ordered. "I don't know how to drive," Sabrina complained as she held the car keys. "You should drive and I'll accompany you," she suggested to the man. Kenneth got up angrily and struggled to stand. "You're absolutely useless!" he said while snatching the keys from Sabrina's hand. She followed him to the garage. The truth was, she could really drive, but she lied earlier because she didn't want to go out alone. She was afraid of the dark. There were only a few pharmacies nearby, and they weren't sure if any were open 24 hours, so they decided to go straight to the hospital. "Are you still okay?" she repeatedly asked the man because he looked pitiful. She felt even guiltier. Should she confess? "Just shut up!" Kenneth scolded the woman who had been nagging him. He wasn't in the mood to talk, but she kept on speaking. They were on their way home when Kenneth's stomach suddenly started hurting. He abruptly stopped driving and pulled the car over to the side. "What's wrong?" she asked. "My stomach hurts again," Kenneth answered as his eyes focused outside. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking? No way," Sabrina said and immediately got out of the car and moved to the driver's seat. She couldn't just leave Kenneth to make a mess on the side of the road. Besides, they were close to home. They just needed a little push to get there. "Fasten your seatbelt, then," she said before starting the car. Kenneth remained silent while looking at the woman who was driving. She said earlier that she didn't know how to drive a car, but now it seemed like she was a professional car racer with the speed they were going. "You lied," he said to the woman when they arrived home, but Sabrina just smiled as if everything didn't matter to her. He was about to scold her, but his stomach started hurting again, so he ran inside the house. Sabrina scratched her head while looking at the package in front of her. She felt a chill run down her spine as she recalled the green package that had put him in trouble. "That's mine," she said. "I know, but that's not my question, Sabrina! Did you sabotage the tea last night, right? Answer me!" Kenneth gritted his teeth as he waited for the woman to confess, and when she nodded, he almost turned into a criminal. "I'm sorry," she apologized because she had made a mistake. “Oh no, not again! Why are you being like this?” “I didn’t mean to! It was an accident, Kenneth. Believe me, it was really an accident. I didn’t know you will get sick because of the tea.” “Shut up!”
