Sabrina thought it would be nice to visit the garden after her shower. Despite the several plots of land with flowers on the estate, the flower vases inside the house were empty.
"Where are you going in that outfit?" a man's voice questioned.
Sabrina stared at the man, who was casually lounging on the sofa, and raised her eyebrows. "You're not supposed to be home," she reminded him of their earlier conversation during breakfast. “You said you will go to the general store.”
“I changed my mind, Sabrina. So, where are you going in that outfit?”
“Why? What's wrong with my outfit, anyway?" she retorted.
"It's too revealing," he commented, scowling.
"What's revealing about my outfit? Besides, who cares? I'll just be in the garden, and nobody's home," she reasoned.
"I am home," he stated, causing Sabrina to arch her eyebrows.
"You can pretend that you're not here," she jested, walking out of the main house with a pair of scissors.
“My grandfather made a grave mistake in sending us here, Sabrina.”
“I agree, but since we are already here, we just have to enjoy this place.”
“He wants us to conceive a child,” he reminded her.
“Why? You are not even the heir of his conglomerate. It’s Isabelle’s duty to produce an heir, not ours,” she told him.
“Even so. You are required to bear me a child,” he said.
“And how is that even possible? You don’t sleep with me because you have been sleeping with someone else. So, how am I going to get pregnant? Should I ask anyone to fuck me and make me pregnant?”
“You would never!”
“Do you think I will? I am not like you, Kenneth. I may be young, but I am not a scandalous woman, and I don’t tolerate an affair,” she told him.
“About Isabelle, how did you know?”
“Both of you are so loud when you fuck her,” she told him.
“Will you please choose your words nicely? I didn’t fuck her, Sabrina. I made love to her,” he explained.
“Like how you made love to me in that apartment?” she asked.
“We didn’t make love, we fucked. We fucked so hard that night and even if you were a virgin that night, we had fun, hadn’t we?”
“Shut up!”
Sabrina was so angry at Kenneth for telling her that he didn’t make love to her that night. He was fucking her because he didn’t love her. Unlike with Isabelle, he claimed to love that woman!
“I hate you!” she said before leaving him alone in the kitchen.
Then, she went to her room and never bothered to come out even when Kenneth called her phone several times. She refused to see his face again after his insulting remarks about the night she gave herself to him. Oh God, she was so stupid back then!
Later on, Sabrina felt the need to freshen up. She had already opened the window to let the fresh air, but she still felt uncomfortable, so she decided to go to the bathroom. Since she had nothing else to do, she prepared a bubble bath and submerged herself into the water. She was having fun until she realized that nothing would happen if she would just remain inside the room.
Kenneth dared to insult her intelligence, so she might do something to punish him a little bit. She had to do it to make him see that she was not so naïve and docile!
As Sabrina tiptoed toward the bed, the floor suddenly became slippery, causing her to fall. She let out a scream, unsure if anyone would hear her. With nobody else in the villa except for Kenneth, who was downstairs, it was unlikely that he would come running to save her from falling.
The fall happened so quickly that Sabrina barely had time to comprehend what had occurred. She tried moving her head to check for injuries but felt nothing. When she attempted to get up, she realized she couldn't move her hand, and excruciating pain shot through her when she accidentally applied pressure to it. The next thing she knew, Kenneth burst into the room, breaking down the door.
"What happened?" he asked, concerned.
"I tripped," she replied, but as she realized she had nothing on her body to cover her private parts, she quickly grabbed the sheet and screamed at him to leave her alone.
“Are you alright?” he asked again.
“I am good, just leave me alone,” she told him.
But after several hours, she regretted sending Kenneth away. She was tucked in her bedroom while suffering a dull pulsing pain on her arm. The pain became unbearable every second that elapsed. Shivers raced through her limbs, and her hands and legs trembled. The pain seemed to worsen with each passing moment, and she believed it might never end.
It felt as if the pain had been there forever, and the thought that it could continue for even longer was frightening. Unable to cope, she gave up and went to bed, hoping that a good night's sleep—or in this case, a day and night's sleep—would provide some relief.
Then, she was thinking about her husband. Soon, he would have a taste of his own medicine!
"What are you doing?" she startled upon hearing his familiar voice. She didn't need to turn around to know who was talking.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you with my words earlier,” he apologized. “Wait, is your arm troubling you?" he inquired.
"It's more than that. Besides the discomfort, I'm worried about what will happen tomorrow. Look at me, Kenneth! How am I supposed to carry out my daily activities when I'm incapacitated? I can't even dress myself," she complained, voicing her concerns to him.
"Please, calm down, Sabrina. You'll get better soon," he reassured, but she shook her head in disbelief.
"Do you want me to calm down?" she retorted. Then, she showed him the swollen, red area of her arm. The pain was unbearable, and she could hardly endure it.
"Take a deep breath. I'll look after you, okay?" When he realized the weight of the promise he had made, it was too late. “Besides, we have several maids here.”
“I want to go back to the city,” she said.
“We will talk about it later. Are you hungry?”
“Of course I am! But how can I eat in this state?” she complained some more.
“Wait, I will bring some food,” he promised.
Sabrina rolled her eyes when Kenneth left because she didn’t believe him. However, she was shocked to see him again at the doorway a few minutes later with a tray of food. Then, he sat down beside her.
“What are you doing?” she asked in disbelief.
“I am going to feed you some food,” he answered.
