On the 50,000-year mark. The first human slaughter had occurred. In another 5000 years, Demons emerged from the repeated slaughter of humans. Humans, after that, finally had room to breathe and grow. For 10,000 years after, the war between demons and dragons continued to grow in scale and intensity slowly. Demons would lose most of the time, but not without giving the dragons a proper fight. Finally, on the 65,000th year, the first dragon was killed. Not just any dragon, but the son of the strongest dragon of that time, this feat was accomplished through a long-term plan and an ambush by the demons.
But this was all part of a bigger plan by the evil race, as the entire Dragon race went berserk and went to battle with every single force they could wield, determined to end this plague of demons that had troubled them for 10,000 years or more, by the command of the strongest dragon. The demon race also did the same. Until now, they had been pretending to lose to gather enough ground troops and powerful members of their race. Truly a heinous race that could even accept losing for the long-term benefit.
Something the arrogant and prideful dragons could never hope to do. The reason the dragons had not eradicated the demon race with their full force was that the demons were always on the losing side, despite their certain threatening qualities against the winged race.
The strongest dragons leveraged the demons’ existences to train their younger generation, unleashing their battle lust and aiding the young dragons in rapid growth. So, the dragon race viewed the demons as a necessary evil, given that the rest of the races were significantly weaker and posed no challenge to the dragons. Not a bad decision, but they underestimated the demons’ malevolent nature too greatly.
The destructive might of the Dragons was truly spine-chilling. Millions of lower-level demons would turn to dust by the flaming dragon roar of each dragon, their roars infused with the innate element with which they were born. Something that was easily identified by the color of their outer scales.
So, it wasn’t hard for the demons to prepare countermeasures against those elements. At least, the demons who could stand the longest against each of the elemental dragons. Despite their colossal prowess, the dragons felt overwhelmed by the sheer number of demons that had accumulated secretly over all these years. Something that the dragons never thought to be possible. Two of the strongest demons were fighting against the strongest dragon of that time, barely holding their own against the dragon that was going all out, disregarding all safety of its own.
Similar to this, against all the other dragons of each stage of power, multiple demons were fighting against each of them. The main battle against the dragon king spanned vast areas, with a level of destruction that was truly immense. But something happened that caught the eyes of the enraged Dragon King. Within that area, there should be no other living beings, no other demons or even dragons, let alone any member of the other races who did not have enough strength or reason as of now to join in such a war.
But the mighty dragon could see it, a woman? A human woman with long, fiery red hair that flowed like blood, and a beauty so transcendent that no words could ever do it justice, with blazing red eyes that looked more sinister than even a demon’s. Wearing silver armor that shone with a powerful radiance, and wielding a silver sword that itself radiated a threatening power. This scene could not help but utterly confuse the mighty dragon, for how nonsensical it was. The woman started running at supersonic speed, coming towards the dragon king. When she was near enough to the fight, she jumped high into the air, controlling the energy in the air to propel herself even further. The Dragon King sneered in disdain at the mere thought that a human, akin to an insect, had dared to join this fight.
The pitiful race that couldn’t even face a young dragon, and were wiped out countless times again and again. They only survived due to their cockroach-like reproductive abilities. Just because the dragons had left the puny humans alone, did these insects now think they had grown wings and amounted to even a fraction of their power? The Dragon King’s primary focus was still on the two demons. He wagged his enormous tail towards the insect-like human. Wishing to turn it into a meat paste.
The human female, with her fiery red hair flowing violently in the wind, pulled her giant sword upwards and slashed down vertically with every fiber of her strength. Her blazing red eyes remained unwavering, devoid of fear or hesitation.
A colossal draconic cry of pain resounded throughout the world, which momentarily halted the entire war. Everyone stared at the impossible scene with their eyes wide open, the hundreds of thousands of demons and dragons. Not a single one of them could believe what they just saw, doubting their own vision.
The 500-meter-long tail of the Dragon King was cut off cleanly at its root by the slash of the red-haired human female. The Dragon King, soaring through the air, lost its balance and plummeted to the ground from high up in the sky. The two demons did not waste that chance, despite their gravely injured state. They also attacked both of the enormous wings of the Dragon as it was falling through the air.
As the more than 1-kilometer-long dragon fell to the ground, causing cracks to spread through the earth, an explosion of dust occurred, and debris was flying everywhere. With another furious roar of fire, the gravely injured Dragon King incinerated everything for 3 kilometers straight. But the female warrior protected the two demons from being obliterated by the dragon’s desperate fire breath. The two mighty demons healed somewhat in that brief moment, thanks to their insane regeneration power.
Their corrosive, Demonic energy was overflowing, but as the fire and fog cleared, everyone could see the Dragon King’s pitiful state: both of his wings were torn in certain sections, and his tail was entirely gone. The mighty dragon now resembled a tail-less lizard, unable to fly. The humiliation the king felt at that moment was absolute. It roared to the skies in boundless rage, "HUMANSSSSS!!!"
