Extra's Path To Demon King Chapter 315

There were two artificially created reasons why humanity was so weak. One reason is that Prime Nexus had given the purebloods of the other races their racial aspects, which would continue to enhance and evolve their bloodline as they progressed further on the seeker’s path. Which was the most fundamental method of developing oneself as a biological organism, the most superior path of evolution was never a mage or a warrior, but as a bloodline holder. Second was the world Will; it took humans a very long time to realize that there was something called the Will of the world, which was a completely separate entity compared to Prime Nexus, which was an alien existence. The world Will of the Eldarion continent was actually intentionally suppressing the human race from growing stronger. So, all of humanity in general began to form a very negative impression of both Prime Nexus and the World Will. As decades passed, the gap between humanity and the other races continued to widen. It wasn’t that humanity couldn’t become strong enough to contend against orcs, elves, ogres, and snakekins; instead, the game itself was rigged against them from the very beginning by the same judges of the game. Then, more terrifying news followed for humanity. An unquestionably powerful race appeared on the continent, "THE DRAGONS." A single dragon that shifted the entire scale of power. The dragon took control of the whole eastern side of the continent. The place was filled with the densest energy production since the most significant number of black pillars were in that corner of the continent. The dragon was so strong that even thousands upon thousands of the strongest warriors of the other races combined were unable to subjugate it even in the slightest, and were forced to back off. More dragons appeared over time as the dragons became the undisputed strongest species. About 50,000 years had passed since the Black Pillars descended from the heavens. An attack was made on humanity to wipe it out completely. The funny thing was that a single dragon did it. One dragon decided to kill all of the humans just on a whim. 99% of humans were indeed wiped out on that single day. The other races found it amusing and didn’t give two hoots about it, as they were more than strong enough to protect themselves, despite the dragons’ unreasonable strength. But humans were like cockroaches; they were too numerous, spread across too many places on the continents, living in small spaces. Surviving no matter what, the continent was just too vast to search as a whole and wipe them out one by one. Not to mention the dragon just did it on a whim, for amusement. It had no solid goals to wipe out humans completely. But that was perhaps the start of the single greatest mistake of the dragon race as a whole. In just 100 years, humanity repopulated certain regions of the continent and started thriving again in many secret places. But the dragon, upon hearing that news, went out for a hunt again, like an Apex predator with a sadistic grin. As expected, the small number of humans in many places could not hide from the eyes of the mighty dragon. In this manner, humanity was thinned out repeatedly for an innumerable number of times. Content originally comes from novelꜰire.net However, this was not well received by the world; everything has its consequences, despite the dragons being favoured by nature. They were running rampant throughout the continent. This eventually gave birth to the single most heinous species that has ever existed since the beginning of this mighty continent. It is said that the accumulation of the vengeful human souls slowly gathered together, all the negative emotions and sins of humanity forming into one, giving birth to the evil race called Demons. That’s right, the demons were created from the purest negative emotions of the endlessly slaughtered humans. The first Demon was nothing special, but soon more and more appeared. Spread through the continent like a plague. It was like they had the insane reproductive capabilities of humans, but the demonic energy they used was too corrosive, too dangerous. The low-ranking demons were at least manageable despite being too numerous. But as more time passed by, stronger and stronger demons appeared. The strongest demons were so shockingly powerful that they could almost contend against Dragons...almost. Eventually, the demon race became so numerous right under the eyes of the dragons and other races that they became the second most potent force on the continent in a matter of a few decades. The dragons tried to wipe them out numerous times, attacking the demons with great force. But the other races, who had been under constant pressure from the dragons for a very long time, did not let that happen. They helped the demons from the background despite having great distaste for them as well. Every single race on the continent was sick of the dragon’s endless arrogance. The demon race became the conduit through which they could vent at least some of their anger towards that mighty race that breathed fire, lorded over the skies with no competition. The greatest benefactor from this turn of events was, in fact, the humans. As the dragons had no time to pay attention to them anymore, humanity moved to the western corner of the continent to the most barren region. As the war between the two of the strongest races progressed, the remaining races continued to support the demons greatly from the background. But that was another mistake, one that the other races realized too late, a mistake greater than even the dragons, despite the overwhelming individual prowess of the winged lizards. They were too few in number, their reproduction was highly regulated, a perfect counter to their overwhelming power and speciality in magic. But the Demons? They had no such restrictions. Suppose the dragons were the favored ones of nature. Demons were the destroyers of nature and harmony. They were the antithesis of the dragons. They were sin itself in its purest form in the flesh. The Demonic Energy served as a direct counter to the Dragon Aura of the flying lizards, who possessed exceptional control over various elements inherent to their nature. The demons could reproduce like dogs, and their high-level powerhouses were almost as strong as the dragons. Though they rarely had any unity among them, they were battle hungry and often too chaotic in nature. But as more and more powerful demons appeared, they could extensively regulate those negative qualities inherent in their nature from birth. They could command and control the lesser demons with ease, simply by exerting the pressure of their higher-quality demonic energy. Even if a stronger demon asked a weaker one to kill itself, assuming there was a significant strength gap between the two demons, the weaker demon would end its life without hesitation. This was another chilling prospect of the sinful demon race. Eventually, with the background support of the other species on the continent, demons for the first time managed to win against the dragons, even kill multiple of them. Their chaotic nature enabled them to devise outlandish strategies that the dragons could never have imagined, showing that even such powerful demons could stoop so low... just to kill them. But that was only the beginning of the demon’s plan, as the dragon race became entirely berserk for having one of their members killed by another race for the first time in history, and were determined to wipe out the demon race, even if it meant mutual destruction, a very typical reaction from their side, exactly the reaction the evil demons were expecting.
