Extra's Path To Demon King Chapter 229

Heinz also faced a similar issue; the savage brutality and wild fighting manner did not scare or have much effect on the conjurations of Enrick. Instead, it only seems to excite them. Then there was the fact that all five conjurations each seemed to have special abilities on their own, and they were not the only ones he had to deal with; there were also 100 more Seekers ready to shove a spear through his heart at a moment’s notice. But perhaps the most significant menace was Enrick himself and the damn runic sword he was using, something he recognized all too well. It was just as flashy and unique as his own Spear, though not as shiny as Lucien’s shining silver sword. But its power was undeniable. And it wasn’t the only runic weapon the enemies had; all the enemy Seekers had their own general-purpose runic weapons. Which undoubtedly gave every single Seeker an undeniable boost. For the first time, Heinz felt like cursing his best friend, just because he wanted to make some damn profit, the fucker had made things so, so damn difficult for them. Enrick, having a fraction of the specialized stats from his conjurations, and being able to use their specific abilities and fighting perfectly in sync with his summons, gave him the hardest time. Both Heinz and Lucian were getting pushed back. The battle is being tilted in favor of the enemy. For a moment, they both thought about activating the abilities of both their tools, but no, they had to wait. Axel had specifically instructed them on when to use it, and it had to be at the right time. Jaden, who was on the top floor of the fortress, noticed how all the attackers’ shock troops and sharpshooters division members had moved back to that side, leaving the bridge. But there were a few who remained in the middle. At the same time, Heinz and Lucien brought out their uniquely suited runic weapons created by that damn runecaster bastard and continued fighting. But his attention remained on the few who remained in the middle of the bridge. One of them was Vyra Vanelis, the genius Alchemist and Archer, who was previously the division leader of the sharpshooters. She and a few other mage branch specialists seem to be doing something suspicious. Vyra noticed his intense stare from afar and chuckled. She ordered one of her companions who cast a smokescreen a bit ahead to make sure Jaden Redmar could not see their activities. As if right on that very cue, Heinz and Lucien both activated the abilities of their runic weapons. The majestic 4th prince was exuding even more royal majesty. The respect at the heart of enemies facing him increased even further. Some weak-willed ones even had the urge to kneel and surrender as if they were pointing their weapons at their own king. The blinding light radiating from the sword increased in intensity as it disrupted the vision of his enemies. The veil of darkness cast by 100 enemies that had previously threatened to drown his silver light, but now the light gained the upper hand over it. Conner gritted his teeth as he drowned in the all-familiar helplessness that he had always felt in his entire life. The six minor kingdoms were nothing but dogs of the three great kingdoms in practicality. The royal families of the minor kingdoms were all but jokes. Despite being the strongest contender coming from the six minor kingdoms as a whole, here he was, fighting against the most acclaimed prince of the strongest human kingdom alongside 100 others and still being pushed back from his singular might of power. But he swore in his heart, one day, definitely one day, one day he was going to overcome that powerful shackle that the great kingdoms held over them. One day, he will make sure that they break free. He chuckled to himself, soon, very soon, they would all suffer and none would survive. The future of the strongest human great kingdom shall be no more. Heinz himself was also affected by the active ability of the Silverthorne sword. He felt his mind invigorated, his morale and desire to fight boosted positively, bringing him a new wave of power. Of course, Heinz himself, without dallying, activated the domination spear art. And this was the first time he was about to test it, so he was positively excited about what his friend had cooked into it, and he was shocked, and very rightfully so, when it took effect. Information about a fierce and vicious spear art was shoved inside of his head and even his body, as if it was edited into his muscle memory; it was an extremely unpleasant feeling, for the second it lasted. But he brushed that feeling aside and immersed himself entirely in performing the spear art. And his body performed it as if he had known the spear art for years. A supremely destructive and fast-paced flurry of spear attacks, each with inhumane maneuverability, coming from impossible angles. Struck down one conjuration after another. Pouring all of his savage war aura into the whole body of the spear, coating most of it on the silver tip, in which the runes shimmered brightly in golden color. Half of the Seekers, including Enrick and his mighty summons, were forced to step back from the sheer brutality of the spear art performed by Heinz Gil. It was a beautiful contrast that two of them created, one was the destined future king of the strongest human kingdom. Who even had the power of the golden dragon flowing through his veins, no one could be more worthy than he to be called ’The Chosen One’, while another was born to nothing, was destined to be nothing, and was supposed to be nothing, die as nothing. Yet, he forged his way out of the very bottom barrel of society and the power structure and now stood right beside the very chosen one, perhaps even fighting on par with him as well. And opposite to him, the mighty conjurer and prince Enrick of the Samartan great kingdom was getting pushed back, his conjurations eliminated. His increased strength was defeated. Even with the help of 100 other Seekers, he was deemed nothing but useless. While both Heinz and Lucien were pushing back their enemies, unaware of the great inner turmoil within their adversaries. Vyra and her friends had completed the task assigned to them. She and the few mages all cast more and more smoke and dust spells, as a dense fog spread from the middle of the bridge to both ends, they immediately moved backwards through the bridge onto their side. Lucien and Heinz were both alerted by Axel, [It’s done, wait for my signal.] Because of the spreading fog, Jaden, who was keeping an eye on the midsection all this time, couldn’t even see that they had gone away, done with their tasks. Just as Vyra and the few others with her crossed the bridge. Some of the fortifiers on that side dropped big chunks of collected poison water from the chasm. They poured a substantial amount of the poison-infused dark water over the bridge area for a considerable distance and stepped back. And then it started to happen: the bridge began to shake slowly, almost in rhythm, but it was normal, after all, it was a hanging bridge. Jaden thought perhaps those few were now leaving to that side. Yet, he was very wrong, covered by the haze of fog, a wet and large, claw-like, monstrous and gruesome limb placed itself on the hanging bridge, until it climbed up entirely. Its monstrous eyes looked on both sides, but its attention lingered on that very side that poisoned the waterway. With a low growl, it rushed forward, and more and more sea monsters climbed up the hanging bridge through a magic-made ladder that connected the water beneath and the bridge itself.
