Rose is still in the hospital. Ash went to his company to attend some meetings. Rose was bored. She was thinking about walking in the garden when a nurse came in. Rose looked at the nurse. The nurse said, "Here she is."
A man entered the room. Rose clenched the bed sheet. She asked, "Why are you here?"
"Come on, my dear daughter. Your mother was crying so hard. She wanted to see you and begged me. So I thought to let you meet your mother."
Rose became happy. She thought that John might come with her mother. She looked around.
"She didn't come. In this technology era, people need not come personally to check on people. The only thing we need is this"
Then he pulled out a phone and dialed a number. He said, "Let her talk."
And he opened the camera. Rose saw her mother. She was so thin that Rose could not recognize her. Rose touched the screen with trembling fingers.
She said, "Mom"
"Rose," her mother said.
"Mom, how are you? Why are you so thin?"
"I am fine. I could not eat much. Forget about me. Tell me how this happened?"
Rose looked at John. John did not say anything. So Rose said, "Mom, Alina tried to kill me. But in the end, Ash came to my rescue."
Sophie gasped and put booth hand on her mouth.
"What? Alina? But why?"
Rose said, "Because of Edward. She thought Edward died because of me."
Sophie nodded and said, "Did you catch her? She should be in jail."
"No mom, Alina committed suicide."
"O my God," Sophie was shocked.
"Are you hurt?"
"No. I fainted due to shock. But I am fine. Today I will be discharged."
Sophie nodded.
"Mom, won't you attend my wedding?"
It was a question not for her mother but John.
"I want to," her mother said.
"Dear, you are so sick. So you can't attend," John said.
"But-" Rose wanted to say that she wanted her mother.
"No buts. It's final that your mother won't attend. Didn't I tell you that we will arrange it after we sign all the contracts?"
"Okay," Rose agreed.
John cut the call. Rose could not even say goodbye to her mother.
John asked, "Tell me, how did Ash know you were there? I plant GPS inside you. Then how come I couldn't find any trace about you?"
Rose was in a dilemma. What will she say? Then she said, "I don't know? But when I was kidnapped Alina's people seemed to know about my GPS. She pulled it out from my hand."
Rose was glad that the doctor's bandage was the same place John implanted it.
John nodded and said, "It's possible."
Rose said, "How?"
John said, "You didn't know? She was my niece."
Rose knew but pretended not to know. She asked, "What? Then Mrs. Khan is your sister?"
John nodded. He was looking at Rose. Trying to find out if she was lying or not. After staying with him for almost 15 days Rose knew, she could not give way.
John seemed to think that her reaction was genuine and said, "Yes, she is. We already acquired the K company shares. Now it is time for Ash's company."
Rose gulped. She has to think of a way to find clues about her mother's whereabouts. But it won't be easy.
Rose said, "You will get all you want."
"Today you seemed to obey me. What's the reason?"
"Nothing. I am grateful to you."
"And why is that?"
"You make me realize how Ash feels about me. He is using me. He hates me."
"Didn't he save you?"
Rose laughed and said, "He did. But not out of love. He wants to torture me to death. He wants to kill little by little."
"You don't know how much pain I went through during this time. I was happy to die in Alina's hand as long as my suffering ends."
"So, you don't love him?" John asked
"I still have lingering feelings. But above all I want him to suffer as much as he made me suffer." John liked that answer. Rose knew if she said she did not love him John would never believe her. So she made it look like she wants to get over this feeling.
John nodded and said, "Soon you will. Like how I am."
There was sadness in his voice. The sadness to never get the love he wanted. Rose looked at the man in front of her. This man has all the things in the world but not a family. He had a child and a wife. But now both don't want to recognize him. Rose thought if John didn't want revenge and never put her through that night, she might try to accept him as her dad. Yes, he was in jail but that time he didn't do anything wrong. So Rose might have accepted this man as her biological father. But alas! Life never goes as we plan it.
"After all this, will you set me free?" Rose asked.
"Why do you want it?"
"I was imprisoned for two years. If you count the time I am with Ash then two years and five months."
"Okay. After I acquired all the shares I will let you go."
"Thank you."
"What do you plan to do?" John asked.
Rose gave a genuine smile and said, "I wanted to be a songwriter."
"It's good"
"Yes, I always wanted to."
"I support you"
Rose was shocked. He agreed.
"I never want to hold you back. You can pursue your dream. But I do want something."
Rose looked at him. She knew this man wanted something.
She asked, "What is it?"
"I want you to become famous. So that I can tell people about you proudly."
Rose laughed. She was amazed that she could laugh with him. But she did.
"Okay. I will try my best," Rose said.
John touched Rose's head. Rose stopped laughing. She looked at him. She saw many emotions flooded into his eyes. Love, regret, sadness, hatred, guilt, and finally love. He said, "I am happy to meet with you."
Then he removed his hand and said, "I have to go."
John left without saying anything. Rose looked at his retreat steps. She was thinking if things go as we plan then John would again be in jail. Or worse, he will have a death sentence. For some unknown reason, she felt hurt. Rose mocks herself. She said, "So you do feel attracted to your biological father."
Rose again looked at the door and gave a pitiful smile. But all her feelings turned into a tear and rolled down from her snow-white cheek.
