= Dustine Dave's Pov =
I don't know how many hours I've been looking at my laptop. My mind was confused and I could not understand what was happening to me. I was just stunned as the tears continued to flow and faced the black screen because it had already turned off. I want to cry, laugh, shout and go crazy. I'm tweaking my own hair as I remembered everything that happened in the past.
After all this year I was wrong to think about my wife. I blamed her and accused her of the act that she never did. I blamed her for my stupidity. She didn't deceive me and she didn't cheat me because the truth is ---- she protected me. She protects me against me.
I am the one to blame and I should be the one to apologize. Because I didn't protect her. I felt like I can't face her after what I discovered. Because I am the one who made this mess.
I punched my head repeatedly while crying. I am an idiot, a fool. I am a worthwhile husband and even more embarrassing father.
Father --- fuck!
I killed our child. Our first child that I secretly poisoned in her womb thinking it was her child from another man. And the second that I didn't admit was I'm sure it was mine too. Because Erika says it's possible to get pregnant with menstruation. So if Lileth hadn't cheated on me then and my child was the one I killed then I'm also sure that the second one is my child.
What I have done? How can I face my wife now? How do I fix the nonsense I did? How do I fix the tire I made? How do I get my wife home here? How can I take her to Dylan who is now definitely fenced her?
I want to get back at her but how? How can I apologize if she is not here? I don't know where Dylan took her and I'm sure he won't give my wife back to me either. Also, what if Lileth can't forgive me for what I did and she doesn't want me anymore?
I almost killed them. What stupid wife will return to her husband who has given her nothing but pure pain? He did nothing but hurt her physically and emotionally. What can I do now to get my wife back?
I moved quickly and picked up the cellphone to call Dylan. I would dare him to talk to me. Maybe I can get him to plead and convince me to give my wife back to me. Maybe Dylan will understand what I did. I don't remember anything and I was hurt so he can't blame me. Also because Lileth did not tell me the truth.
The other line rang several times but was not answered. I couldn't lose hope so I called again. I did that over and over until he accepted my call but did not speak.
"Dylan." He didn't answer but I knew he was just listening. "Where is Lil ----" But he ended the call.
I mess with my hair. I called him again and he accepted again.
"Dylan, I remember everything that happened. Where is Lil-" Again, he cut the call.
I didn't stop and called him again. For the third time, he accepted the call but did not speak.
"Dylan please, I'm sorry. I want to talk to my wife and settle everything. Please tell me, where is Lil ---"
"Fuck!" He never let me finish talking every time I asked where is Lileth.
I wandered around the room and was restless. I wanted to see my wife. I want to talk to her but I don't know-how. I have no one else to call to ask. I don't have Cluster's number and if it was Wallace, he definitely wouldn't tell me because his loyalty was with Dylan. Apart from his boss Dylan, they are also best friends. But I'll try my luck. There is nothing wrong if I try.
I dialed Wallace's number but he did not answer my call. The second time he rejected and so does the third. I became more and more discouraged and didn't know what to do. I went crazy thinking about what had happened and what I had discovered.
Suddenly my phone beeped and when I saw who send me a message ----- it was Wallace. I quickly opened his message and read.
'Dy II Condominium, room 05. The spare card in reception.'
I was encouraged by what I read. My instinct told me that this is the place where Lileth stays. I grabbed my key and drive to the place. I wasted no time wanting to fly the car I was carrying. I passed even though the traffic light was red just to get there right away.
I need to talk to her. We need to talk. We need to be clear on both. I need to apologize to her. I'll take her to Dylan and we'll fix our problem. She had to come with me.
I almost ran into the building. The receptionist did not hesitate to give me the spare when she saw me. Every elevator stop I feel like it took a year. I was about to get to the floor where the unit Wallace said was.
It was like I was floating in while walking out of the elevator. It's like I'm out of my body. I could no longer feel my body or even the footsteps of my feet in my path. Mix thought and emotion I had right now.
When I reached the unit my hand was shaking as I swiped the card. It took me a while to open it because sometimes my swipe is fast or slow. I also dropped the card a few times before I could finally open the door.
"Lileth!" But I did not see her inside. I went to the terrace, and kitchen but she was not there so I went through the rooms but she was still not there. "Lileth!" This is the last room and this is the only one I haven't entered yet but no one is there.
Is Wallace fooling me?
"Lileth?" No one answered me. I was about to leave when I heard a rush of water from the bathroom. I smiled at the thought she was there so I immediately went there and stood in front of the door.
"Lileth, it's Dustine." But I got no answer from her. I just keep hearing the water flowing. "Lileth, I already know the truth. Forgive me, please let's go home and talk." But she just remained silent inside. "Lileth?" Again, no one answer.
"Lileth, please, I'm begging you. Let's go home, come with me and let's talk. Let's fix this. Forgive me because I do not know the truth. I remember everything now."
I was suddenly nervous when I heard the water overflow inside. I slowly pushed to open the door and exposed at my feet the water that had dripped a little red. I slammed the door open and was surprised at what I saw.
"Lileth!" I ran to the bathtub which turned red as the water overflowed and Lileth was submerged under the water. "Lileth!" I took him from inside the tub and turned off the water. The water inside was blood-colored and I didn't know where it came from.
"Lileth, Lileth, wake up." But I never heard anything from her. I touched the back of her ear. She still has a pulse. I put my ear to her nose and I could still feel her breathing but slowly.
I looked at his two wrists with many deep wounds that just kept on bleeding. It was as if he intended to slash herself like this so that she could no longer survive. I can't count how much it is because its cut is conflicting and still opens up in depth.
I was also wet when I picked her up and took her out of the condo. I just wrapped Lileth in a blanket and we went out. I also don't care if I closed and locked the condo or not.
"Emergency!" I shouted as I walked and carried her. I was only barefoot because I left my slippers inside. "Lileth, please don't leave me. I still have to apologize to you. We still need to talk." But her head and hands just went numb and I could no longer feel her breathing and her face turned pale.
"No, please, no."
