Kate grumbled finding it difficult to chose a dress that would please him. She didn't know why he woke her up early in the morning for a stupid gala party when he doesn't regard her. Is she for showoff? She growled kicking the box table then held her legs groaning.
She squints her eyes looking around then raised a pink silk dress up. It had a slim strap with crossed straps at the back too. She twitched her mouth putting it on then proceeded to check it by the mirror falling in love with it. She couldn't help looking at her sexy ass turning it here and there though it wasn't that big but just sexy enough to drive men crazy.
Having picked a dress she struggled for a choice of shoes. She finally picked a pencil heel with tiny robes then proceeded to make her hair, she was glad she paid attention when she worked in a saloon. Making hair was once her forte.
" Kate, aren't you done? It's time" Naomi stated stunned to see her looking beautiful with just a silk dress. She tsked her tongue wriggling her hands.
" That ass that drove Alvin crazy chasing after you for months. You better not lose it " she warned staring at her ass. Kate just rolled her eyes wishing it was true
" You don't know him, Naomi. Alvin has many sides to him" she dismissed the idea of picking a clutch purse checking herself out one last time and smiled.
" I just said you look pretty but you need lipstick. " Naomi stated applying red lipstick on her pouted lips
" There. C'mon, we're running late" she chimed swaying her hips also. She might be inferior to Kate but she had a killer curve too. Kate ass just has the right position and shape. She dressed beautifully wearing a black cotton dress with a tiny strap and a lot of skin at the back. It was breathtaking.
" I'm trying. Naomi, don't tell me you didn't wear a panty in that dress" she asked observing how her ass was moving
" It's a short dress unlike yours. It's more comfortable without panties. I thought you know that" she said irritated. Kate just grimaced leading her outside and found Colt's car parked outside. She noticed the glint of admiration on his face but it disappeared before she could make do with it.
Colt was a man of few words. Kate might not have appreciated his admiration, Naomi did flipping her long hair backward reaching for a handshake which he acknowledged then opened the door for them before stepping on the brake driving off.
" By the way, Sir Alvin doesn't know his mother kicked you out of the house. If I were you I'd keep my mouth shut if you want to leave Reagan's house alive" Colt warned more like a piece of advice but it was awful and disgraceful to Kate. She forced a smile looking at Naomi who had a frown on her face.
She stared at Kate too, mouthing something like why is Colt talking to her like that but again she understood, Kate might have pissed Alvin off again with her self-righteousness. She'd knew she'll do better than that.
Kate glared at Colton, staring dead at him then avoided his gaze opening her laptop.
The Maserati parked in front of a luxurious house earning a wow from Naomi. She just knew Kate was living her kind of life. A sexy blonde like her was meant to swim in wealth. Which made her frown looking at Kate who was still pissed at Colton's venomous words.
There wasn't a hint of admiration in her eyes which had Naomi composing herself as well .she has seen enough then followed them in.
The front door was pushed open Naomi's eyes widened. She looked at the glassed windows and the big chandelier in the middle of the hall and an exotic interior design. It had her jaw-dropping.
" Naomi, people are watching you" Kate reminded holding back the urge to laugh. The place was glamorous but she'd seen enough in Alvin's royal-like mansion where everything was mostly made of gold.
" Yes yes. Kate, can you believe this? There's a golden staircase" she said not able to withstand it
" Yeah " Kate started looking at it as well and at the same time looking for him when she noticed a lady wearing a silk dress with a lot of skin at the back and front standing with him. Her blonde hair waving here and there with her claw-like nails holding a glass of wine while the other was on her waist. She seemed to be immersed in their conversation.
The blonde must have noticed her cos she stepped closer to him pretending to pick something from his hair while he yanked her hands off looking around. He didn't seem to be happy but Kate was pissed.
Naomi was busy checking the auditorium out. Who holds a party early in the morning? she thought then noticed Dante and her boss dancing at the back. She smiled mischievously. He might have called Kate to be his plus one.
Kate turned to leave but wasn't quick enough as Alvin looked over in her direction. He'd know her with the light off, the ass, and her steps. He knew her posture, her scent, her curves, her curly hair. Her image was imprinted in his head. He followed her slowly wondering where she was going, oblivious to the lady's calling.
She walked through the crowd looking for Naomi then saw her going towards the restroom. She sighed deciding to use the restroom as well then bumped into Dante on the way who was surprised to see her. He stood still for minutes staring at her.
She wanted to say something when she heard a baritone voice
" Who are you and why are you staring at my wife like that? He questioned staring dead at Dante.
The surprise in his eyes vanished as soon as he realized who he was. He peeped at Kate who had a nervous look on her face and his eyes settled on Alvin once again. He felt rage, he was furious that he could raise his hands at her.
" How is that your business? For your information, I wasn't talking to her. It's not my fault you have such a sexy wife" he retorts which angered Alvin towering over him. Alvin was intimidating whether in height or muscles. He was extremely big and could make any man pee on his pants by looking at his chest but not Dante. If anything his anger intensified that he could bully her with his physique.
Alvin looked at what she was wearing and sneered.
" I'm sure there are lots of single women here tonight that's worth your time. I don't want to see you around her again. I'll not warn you twice" he stated holding her wrist forcefully but Dante intervenes stopping him from grabbing her like that.
Kate was losing it already trying the eye language but Alvin was pissed already letting her go while he pushed Dante backward ready to pounce on him then Kate stood at the middle
" Please Alvin, we're in a public place. I don't know him. Please ignore him. A young man stays out of my business. He's my husband. I don't need your help. Please leave" she stated eagerly as Dante locked gaze with her but she lowered her head still he wanted to challenge him but received a reverberated kick from Alvin's long legs which had him hitting the wall groaning.
" I knew you were an animal" Dante cussed charging at him.
Everything was spinning, blurry as Kate reached for her inhaler but couldn't find it. Her breathing increased, she could hear the palpitation of her heart, stumbling to the ground she started wheezing while they continued to fight. Dante was the first to notice as he was weak from his recurrent fist. Alvin punched him one last time sending him to the ground almost lifeless then he heard her wheezing and ran to her.
' Kate!!? He cooed rummaging through her bag for the inhaler but found none. He panicked reaching for his phone then ordered Colt to get help while he carried her in bridal style.
" She's going to die without it. Let me help please" Dante suggested wiping blood from his mouth while Alvin halts putting her down while Dante told him to elevate her head keeping her hands moist.
Kate wheezed holding onto Alvin burying her head on his chest while Dante kept her moist feeling guilty. He wasn't aware. Gosh, he didn't even know her. Meeting Alvin ruined everything. They stayed that way till Colt rushed in giving her a shot of aminophylline then her inhaler before the medics came in.
Naomi smiled, her plan worked. She could tell there was going to be a show to watch henceforth. Alvin knows Dante's existence already. It wasn't difficult she giggled picking anything and everything to savor on.
