He grabbed her hands, taking her to his side. And drag her to his side. She looked puzzled but kept her lips shut. Lucas stood up, wiping the blood off his lips. A sly smile appears on his lips. And then he brought out his gun. Kenzo held Elina behind him.
“I wish I could shoot you right now. Destroy your skull.”
“You should drop the gun. If you wanna be alive in the next five seconds. And you know what I mean.”
“Oh hail the king Kenzo!” He mocked, withdrawing the gun. He turned his gaze towards Elina.
“You should come to me, anytime any day. I’ll be there for you. This is my card.”
“Get the fuck out of here,” He swept the card off his hand.
“I’m just trying to be nice. She’s just your slut anyway, everyone knows that.”
He chuckled, winking at Elina.
“You’re killing it, baby.” He walked out of the bar.
Elina moved away from Kenzo. Dropping the bottle of vodka on the table, without a second glance, she ambled away. Kenzo followed behind her quietly. He knew she was mad at him. Who would be?
Her looks and everything said it.
She was walking without stopping. He had to stop her, holding her by the hand, she yanked it off.

She twirled around with a glare.
“What do you want, you should be getting ready for your wedding.”
“I know, let me take you home.”

His lips parted but no words came out.

He let go of her hands.

“Argh!” He yelled, almost hitting her with his hands. He turned his back against her. And ruffle his head in frustration. It irks him when she said that. How dare she?

She sighed, turning to leave.
“You shouldn’t come to the wedding.”
“I wasn’t gonna come.”
“I know you, Elina. And whatever you’re planning stop it. And just focus on your miserable life.”
Elina bites her lips.
“Ain’t you tired of hurting me, leave me be, I don’t care about your wedding. And I don’t care about you either. I’m getting back my life and you ain’t in it. “
“Good, I don’t wanna see you either.”
“And lastly, what you just did, don’t ever do it again. It shouldn’t be your business who I meddle with.” She turns and began walking away. Crying as her back was against him.
Seeing him again, she had wished she could hug him.
She sniffing. She was tipsy before but she wasn’t any longer, since she had cried her eyes out.
A car stopped in front of her, she wipes her face with her hands to see who had stopped.
Aziel.
“Get in, I’ll take you home.”
“Did he tell you to do that?”
“He called me over, I had to come to get you, I don’t want you to see me as his bodyguard this time, but your brother.”
She sniffed. The tears were coming again.
“I need a hug.” She demands.
Aziel came down from the car, shut the door, and pulled her into a hug. She hugged him tightly.
Crying on his shoulders.
“You need to get your life together, Elina. Forget about everything, that way you could live, forget about this place too, I know you came here because you missed him and the probability of seeing him again.”
“It isn’t easy to just forget about everything, I’ve been trying to, but I just can’t..”
“Go back to your life then, go back to being Elina Brooke..”
She was fast asleep when he arrived at her apartment, Barbra was pacing outside the porch, looking so worried. She exhaled when she saw Aziel with Elina in his arms coming her way.
She opened the door, so he could get in.
“She went drinking again, didn’t she?”
“You should keep an eye on her. She might appear strong but she’s very fragile.” She lay her on her bed, covering her with the duvet.
“Elina isn’t as she was, you know she’s changed, y’all changed her into something she would never be. I’ll be truthful, sometimes I’m scared of her.”
“You shouldn’t be, she wouldn’t harm you if you stick to her. And lastly..”
“What Aziel?”
“Thank you..”
The words she was about to slip got trapped in her mouth. She wasn’t expecting him to say that.
“The wedding is just two weeks away. And then the election just a week after that. You would keep her safe won’t you and keep yourself safe as well.”
She nods.
“Stay safe Aziel.”
“I’ll.”
He nods at her, she followed him out of the house watching him till he got into his car and drove off.
Sighing. She went back in and shut the door.
*A week after *
“Wake up!” Barbra yelled, she stirred and gave her, her side. She smacked her butt.
“Elina!”
“I’m tired.”
“What’s making you so tired and dizzy you left Carol early yesterday, you didn’t finish your shift. I did everything. You slept all through the evening till the next morning. Now get your ass up!”
“Just a little more.”
“No, you didn’t eat the dinner I made. I thought you said you were gonna eat them.”
“I tried to, it only made me puke!” She made a disgusting face. Sitting up on the bed.
“You don’t look good, you look sick.”
“I’m fine.”
“You’ve been like that since last week. You need to go for a check-up, but that’s after you eat breakfast.”
“What did you make?”
“Omelette.”
“Eww, I feel like puking out the sound It.”
Barbra sat down beside her.
“It used to be your favorite.”
“I don’t know.” She shrugged. Suddenly she ran out of the bed into the bathroom, throwing up in the toilet.
Barbra stood by the stand with a suspicious look on her face.
“Hope it’s not what I’m suspecting?”
She flushed and wipe her face with the face towel and stood erect while leaning on the wall.
“What do you mean?”
“When was the last time you had sex?”
“Erm.. that was three weeks ago, I think.”
“Did he you take contraceptive?”
“I didn’t... I didn’t remember, I bought them though, but I took it just once.”
“Was it immediately after sex?”
“No, it was three or four days after it.”
“Geez!” She palmed her forehead.
“Did he use condoms?”
“He didn’t..”
“Elina...” she groaned. Shutting her eyes tightly together.
“You’re pregnant...”
