The dull thuds of fists landing on flesh echoed like war drums.
Protector Wu's body was tossed around in mid-air like a leather ball, completely overwhelmed, unable to mount any resistance.
Protector Wu roared, his expression grim. He could sense that Queen Medusa's strength was slightly below his own, yet he couldn't lock onto her presence at all.
But he barely had time to spit out the word "enough" before a fierce jade-like fist slammed into his chest.
Because he was facing downward, the punch sent him hurtling skyward.
Queen Medusa's expression was ice-cold. Her slender fingers tightened, and in her hand appeared a serpentine longsword, gleaming with a seven-colored glow.
As the rainbow-colored blade materialized, the space behind her violently trembled—and a massive black vortex tore open before everyone's eyes.
From within that rift, two enormous serpents erupted with thunderous roars. One was a dazzling, hundred-meter-long Seven-Colored Swallowing Python, the other a golden serpent with draconic horns, exuding terrifying majesty as they coiled behind Queen Medusa.
Without a shred of hesitation—
She swung her sword, and the twin serpents bolted forward like lightning toward Protector Wu.
The moment the Seven-Colored Swallowing Python emerged, the three great Elders of the Snake-People trembled, eyes brimming with tears.
They cried out in unison, "The heavens bless our Snake-People Tribe!"
At the same moment, the aura from Queen Medusa surged outward in full force, causing every powerhouse from the Black-Corner Region to turn pale.
Han Feng's voice trembled as he spoke:
"A body of seven colors, violet-tinted eyes, strength rivaling a Dou Sheng... Could it be... the legendary Seven-Colored Swallowing Python?!
"I never imagined Queen Medusa carried the bloodline of such an ancient beast! But... that other serpent—why does it feel even more terrifying than the Swallowing Python...?"
While everyone was still reeling from the shock—
The two serpents reached Protector Wu.
A deafening roar shattered the silence. The layers of black mist that Protector Wu had hastily summoned were torn apart in an instant.
His expression changed drastically as he tried to escape into the void by manipulating space—but the serpents were faster.
Like a force of nature, they crashed into him with overwhelming might.
The black mist surrounding Protector Wu shattered completely, revealing his gaunt and shadowed face. His cloak was obliterated, his jet-black hair falling down and partially covering his features.
An enormous surge of energy burst from Queen Medusa's strike.
His chest collapsed inward, and the sound of cracking bones echoed ominously.
To everyone's horror, they saw Protector Wu's hair instantly turn white. A wave of blood, mixed with internal organs, sprayed from his mouth and splattered across the void, forming a gruesome mist.
"You... will die...!"
Protector Wu's expression twisted in rage. He could feel his power waning—his life force leaking out like sand through open fingers.
Black mist surged wildly from his body.
With a roar, he opened his mouth wide, intending to swallow the black mist back into himself—
But Queen Medusa's figure reappeared behind him.
Her seven-colored serpentine sword pierced through the mist—
The sword impaled his chest, bursting through his heart and emerging from the front, bloodied and glowing.
She pulled the blade out—then stabbed again.
In mere seconds, she pierced Protector Wu dozens of times, turning his body into a tattered mess, beyond recognition.
"She's insane! She's burning her essence blood too!"
Han Feng, stunned as he watched Queen Medusa appear like a phantom behind Protector Wu, saw the crimson Dou Qi spiraling around her. His face drained of color.
When he witnessed her stabbing Protector Wu repeatedly, his legs gave out. Had it not been for Tu Ye rushing to support him, he might've fallen from the sky entirely.
"Kill them. Leave no one alive."
Queen Medusa declared coldly. With one final swing, she severed Protector Wu's head.
She used her Dou Qi to completely isolate herself from the blood, letting the headless corpse plummet to the ground.
A silence so complete it was almost suffocating.
Stunned and terrified gazes all turned toward Queen Medusa.
No one could have imagined that a Dou Zong, a peak powerhouse, would be slain by the newly evolved Queen Medusa so easily.
One by one, people swallowed nervously.
Even Han Feng and the others were drenched in cold sweat, their bodies trembling uncontrollably.
The Gold and Silver Elders, who had already fled ahead, called back once before turning away again.
"You bastards... if I die, none of you will get your reward!"
Han Feng was on the verge of spitting blood.
But the two elders ignored him and disappeared into the distance.

To ensure his escape, he didn't even bother with threats anymore. What he didn't expect was that Queen Medusa still wouldn't let him go—
She burned her essence blood again.
Protector Wu infused a trace of his soul power into Tu Ye's body—then flung him away.
Tu Ye's body exploded mid-air.
A colossal inferno engulfed the twin serpents.
Everyone was shocked—he even sacrificed his own comrade to escape.
But from within the flames, the two serpents reemerged.
They shot through the sky with unnatural movements—twisting through space—before slamming directly into the chests of Han Feng and Protector Wu's soul form.
Han Feng immediately coughed up a mouthful of blood mixed with internal organs. Protector Wu's soul flickered violently, on the verge of shattering.
In the wake of that terrifying force, the soul form finally vanished into the twisting void.
Queen Medusa moved to chase—
But at that moment, her face went pale, and her body began to sway—
She was at her limit.
