Chen Mo reached out and firmly grasped both of the Queen's delicate jade-like hands, pinning them above her head.
Then, with a single hand, he held her wrists in place.
Lowering his head, he kissed the Queen's bright red lips.
His other hand, however, grew mischievous as it traced along the hem of her crimson dress...
In that instant, Chen Mo felt the soft body beneath him tremble slightly.

She would stubbornly refuse to admit her feelings, remain firm and aloof. He would get angry from her refusal and then "punish" her. One thing would lead to another, and eventually they'd end up consummating their relationship in a flurry of confusion and emotion.
But now she just came right out and said it! That totally messed up his script!
Looks like he'd have to improvise a new one.
"Well, since you say you love me, that means our feelings are mutual. And if they're mutual, then you're my wife, and I'm your husband. As your husband, I'm... quite uncomfortable right now. And as my wife, shouldn't you—?"
Queen Medusa blinked, visible question marks practically popping above her head.
Our relationship progressed that fast?
Still, maybe it was time. Queen Medusa didn't want to keep dragging things out any longer.
As for her confession of love—it was indeed genuine. Her reasoning, however, was more calculated: If things get exposed later, then at least we can say it was mutual affection.

Queen Medusa no longer wanted to suppress her feelings.
She was going to lay her cards on the table—and take this man from her own sister.
Otherwise, she wouldn't have allowed Chen Mo to take such liberties with her.
"So... what is it that you want?" Queen Medusa asked.
"I think... last night was quite nice."
Chen Mo noticed the shift in her tone and responded cautiously.
Queen Medusa didn't answer. Instead, she rolled over and pinned Chen Mo beneath her, her voice low as she asked, "How far have things gone between you and my sister?"
A chill ran down Chen Mo's back.
What the hell? Why is she bringing this up again?
He stammered, "Actually, things between Butterfly and me... it's not what you think, Queen baby."
The next moment, Queen Medusa suddenly raised her knee and pressed it against a rather... critical area. Her voice turned gentle, even seductive:
"I don't want riddles. If you agree to cut ties with my sister, then I, your Queen, will follow you—no matter where, be it as chicken or dog. I'll be yours completely. Tonight, you can do whatever you wish."
Gulp. Chen Mo swallowed hard.
Damn... this is too intense.
He was just about to respond when Queen Medusa gently pressed her jade-like hand against his mouth.
"Think carefully before you answer," she warned. "If you agree, you must never touch my sister again. Nor any other woman. Otherwise—"
Her tone turned icy. "If you betray me after promising, I will kill you, you unfaithful scoundrel. I'll chop off your head and keep it by my side."
A cold shiver ran down Chen Mo's spine.
He could tell—she was deadly serious.
And he had no doubt that if he agreed now and then went on to flirt with another woman...
He'd definitely get the axe.
To choose the Queen meant giving up the whole forest of beauties.
He didn't want to give her up, nor did he want to abandon Butterfly. He dreamed of a future where both had a place in his heart.
Chen Mo played dumb. "Oh wow, I suddenly feel really sleepy. Queen baby, it's getting late. Let's sleep. Goodnight~"
With that, he reached out to hug Queen Medusa's slender waist, trying to cuddle her to sleep.
But she slapped his hand away. "No. You must give me an answer tonight. Choose: me, or my sister."
Her emotions were in full swing now. During the time when Chen Mo had been unconscious, she had thought things through completely.
Self-deception wasn't a solution.
She was willing to risk everything—even her relationship with her sister—for clarity. She had to hear his answer tonight.

This is like being roasted over a fire.
He stared into her phoenix-like eyes. "Are you really going to make me do this?"
"Mhm." Queen Medusa nodded.
Chen Mo could visibly see her mood sinking lower and lower.
When only a bit of time remained, Queen Medusa finally began to climb off of him. "I understand now. From this moment on—mmph!"
Chen Mo flipped her over again and kissed her.
He never gave her an answer.
But in Queen Medusa's eyes—he had made his choice.
She wrapped her arms around him in return.
The candlelight in the side chamber flickered softly.
In the rustle of shifting fabrics, the bed curtains fell.

It was late in the night, but she felt no drowsiness at all.
