Boy next door Chapter 65

/Amber’s pov/ He scoffed and rolled his eyes at the same time. "When you were four years old, you managed to trap me. You were dressed in a dark blue dress with a bow on the back and a pair of tiny white socks, as described above. When I first saw you, I felt like I was being held hostage. "This," he said as he traced a small pattern on my stomach with one finger, "is an added bonus." While he acknowledged that he had not anticipated it for approximately five or six years, he said, "It's still a bonus." Is it possible for us to do that? Is he willing to come and live with me? "Would you be willing to stay with me here and forego your scholarship?" I inquired. I was a little taken aback when I asked. It was an incredible opportunity, and he would give it up for me and a baby? He worked so damn hard for that scholarship, and it was such an incredible opportunity. He cracked a grin. "Angel, if you want to get rid of the baby because you don't want it, that's fine with me. But please don't do this for me. I'd like to stay with you for a while. 'Even if I didn't know you were pregnant, I'd still turn down the offer," he declared as he slid closer to me on the bed and wrapped his arms around my waist. I buried my face into his chest and closed my eyes; I hoped to have children with him one day, as I did with my father. In my mind's eye, I could see myself holding a small baby with Mike's blue eyes and messy hair. Granted, I was a lot older than I am now when I imagined it, but I was still able to see it and liked it. We might be able to make this work. The baby would be showered with affection, and once people got over their initial shock, they'd see what was going on. The fact that Mike's mother would be there to assist me was beyond doubt. Jake, on the other hand, once he got over his initial outburst of rage, would make an excellent Uncle. With a slight pull away from me, Mike became more distant. "I swear I'd be the best father on the planet," he stated emphatically. I couldn't help but smile; I didn't have any doubts about it. When I kissed him on the lips, I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to me. I adored him more than anything else in the world. I was confident that we could make it work as a small family. He looked at me with a hopeful expression on his face as he pulled himself away from the kiss. "All right," I said. Then he leaned in and kissed me again, this time moving so that he was halfway on top of me. I noticed that he didn't put any of his weight on my stomach, and that he was being extremely gentle. He kissed me all the way down my neck, getting lower and lower each time. He cinched my top and kissed me all over my stomach before pulling up to give me a friendly smile. "I love you," he said in hushed tones. I drew him in closer to me with my arms. He laughed as I teased him, saying, "I love you as well, baby daddy." He sat close to my side, his arms wrapped around my shoulders and his head close to mine. In the meantime, I leaned my head against his chest and listened to his heart beat fluttering as I slid one hand down my body, resting it on my stomach, and lightly rubbed my fingertips over it. I leaned in and kissed Mike's chest. How in the world could such an adorable, gorgeous, sweet, kind, funny, talented, and responsible boy be interested in me?!? How could he love me as much as I can tell he does when I see it in his eyes? I couldn't keep a smile off my face. The fact that I was lying in Mike's arms made me feel like the luckiest girl on the planet. I was able to have a child with the man I adore. I was released from the hospital after a couple of hours. Mike was supposed to wake me up every hour to make sure I wasn't suffering from a concussion or something similar. We'd agreed that we wouldn't tell anyone about the baby until it was born. We didn't need anyone else's interference because it was so early in the morning and we were still trying to wrap our heads around what was going on. "Should we call a cab or something?" says the group. I inquired as Mike escorted me out of the hospital, his arms wrapped tightly around my shoulders. He flashed a grin. He'd been doing it a lot for the past couple of hours, and I believe he was genuinely excited about becoming a father, which was something I'd never seen before in an eighteen-year-old prior to this. “No.Jake had left his car at our house. When he returned home with Johnny, he handed over his keys to me, and I followed him into the car park," he explained. He assisted me in sitting in the car, even attempting to put my seatbelt on for me. As he pulled his hand away from my stomach, his hand hovered over my stomach. When I woke up, my head was pounding and the painkillers they had given me were beginning to wear off. I closed my eyes and leaned my head back against the headrest of the chair. It was going to be difficult deceiving Jake. Even though I despised lying and was actually terrible at it, I had to do it for a few weeks because it was necessary. We simply needed to wait until the whole abusive father situation had settled down before we could begin to sort things out in our own heads. I still had the money from the bet, and I hadn't spent any of it yet, which would come in handy for all of the things we'd need to buy in preparation for having a baby in the near future. The moment we pulled up to my house, I didn't even have time to get out of the car before Jake smacked me in the face with a bear hug. "Shit, you scared the living daylights out of everyone, Amber!" he reprimanded her. I returned his hug with a friendly smile. "Please accept my apologies, Jake. What if I pass out in front of everyone and bang my head? That wasn't exactly what I had in mind, was it?" I replied with a sarcastic smirk and a smirk on my face. What the hell is he mad at me for because I got sick in the first place? He sighed and took a step back. "And what did they have to say? "What caused you to pass out in the first place?" he inquired, his face contorted with concern. Oh my God, what am I going to say? "It appears to be stress. That, and the fact that she hadn't eaten anything all day," Mike interjected, walking over to my side. It was a silent prayer to God, thanking him for making Mike a better liar than I was. Jake looked at me, clearly irritated at the time. "What the hell were you doing not eating all day?" he demanded, accusingly. I gave Mike a friendly smile and allowed him to lead me into the house. "Let's just get her in here and let her sit down, Jake, and then you can yell at her all you want," Mike suggested, a small smile on his face as he shook his head. Jake came in after us and sat next to me on the sofa, and Josh and Abigail joined us and took their seats as well. Everyone was looking at me with a worried expression. "Stop being so concerned, guys. Apparently, it was due to a lack of food. It's like I'm running low on sugar. "I'm fine now, honestly," I assured them, nodding and attempting not to appear overly embarrassed. Jake's behavior when he found out was concerning, and I hoped that he didn't beat the living daylights out of Mike or something. Maybe I'd tell him on my own, to calm him down a little before he saw Mike for the first time. "The blow to the head necessitated the use of stitches." It's important for me to check on her every hour, so I'll be staying over tonight," Mike explained, more for Abigail's benefit than for anyone else's; Jake had already guessed he'd be there. I let out a yawn. It was nearly nine o'clock now, and I was ready to retire for the evening; it had been a long and stressful day. "Alright, guys, I'm going to bed." Oh, and Abigail, it's been a long time since we've seen each other. With an apology in my voice, I said, "I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to speak with you more thoroughly earlier." She gave a slight chuckle. No need to stress about it. We'll talk tomorrow." Please let me know if you require anything during the night. Okay, Jake said I could sleep in your mother's room, just so you're aware of where I'm staying. She inquired in a courteous manner. Wow, she's actually quite nice! “OK. Good night, fellas. "And you, lover boy, go get your things if you're planning on staying here," I said, a smile on my face as I looked at Mike. He got to his feet quickly. “OK. "I'll be back in a minute or two." He gently kissed the top of my head before making his way to the front door to inform his parents that he was 'officially' staying over.
