Arius Accardo’s pov,
When she passed out watching that burning car, she closed her honey brown eyes where my world reflected, which were holding that last piece of flickering soul which made me human for this angel. But she had decided to lay down, closing my life source from me.
Every person around was provoked at me for doing that prank, but words weren’t coming out of their mouths. They were worried about my snowflake, who decided to be stubborn, not hearing my calls, but finally, when she opened her eyes, watching me with disbelief and fear lingering in them.
She was terrorized by the thought of I will leave her again, and then I recognized my eyes can get wet too. Watching her in that state was brutal for me. My heart was crumbling, but I couldn’t find a way to soothe her consciousness.
That look in her eyes, fear of losing me again, made her lose her awareness. Those raw feelings of her made me experience how vulnerability feels like and how much power it holds to make me kneel in front of her. Her tears, her need to be with me, were dominating everything in my life.
She was screaming, pulling me, my all efforts to stabilize her were failing miserably. I didn’t know how to soothe her heart. I had realized she couldn’t make a difference between the reality and fake, as she wasn’t ready to leave me, thinking we will get apart once again.
Every passing second, watching her suffer in front of my eyes, was ripping my heart. I was furious over me because I was the reason she was in this condition. I knew she loved me, but I still had to hear it from her. Wasn't her confession with every breath she took with me enough for me?
“Nurse, give her a shot.” Doctor yelled, trying to pull her from me; I tightened my hold over her and pushed him, who was daring to separate us.
“What shot?” My snowflake was screaming, begging me not to go, and my voice wasn’t reaching her. She was chanting the same with fear rising in her tone.
“Arius, let him do what he needs.” Dad gave him permission to manage everything. Doctors had to give her sedatives to tranquilize, as her panic was rising constantly. They were worried that she would lose her ability to sense if she kept going like this. She went motionless again, leaning over my chest without utter a word.
The living room was completely silent, resembling the exact condition of my life, which wouldn't be alive without her resonating laughter. I pushed her more in my chest, holding her closer, not wanting to leave even for a moment.
“Arius, took her to the bedroom.” I heard Nicole in his controlled tone. Ignoring everyone, I picked my life in my hands and brought her to our bedroom. As soon as I put her down, I got jerked away from her. Dad pulled me with my shirt, bringing me closer to him. Anger was ruling all over his blazing red face.
“She is the daughter of Valrius, if you remember. She is the fucking princess of this mafia kingdom.” His roaring sound was daring to break down all walls of the mansion. He was breathing like he would burn down everything if anyone moved.
“I remember dad, she is my Aria.” He pushed me away, clenching his jaw, glaring at me.
“It will be better if you keep remembering it.” He turned and went to the bar section of my room, pouring him a glass of whiskey, heaving like a wounded lion.
I sat beside her, hoping she would give me a chance to love her like she deserved. I will be your prince charming, my snowflake, and will never behave like a beast from now on; maybe she wasn’t interested in trading with me and kept her eyes closed.
She scared me when her words crossed my mind again, passing down the shiver over my spine. Stay or take me with you, those were horror for me, those were the impression of her deep love.
Every moment was deep in my life, I was waiting for a long time to see her enchanting pool of honey. And finally she decided to wake up. She was ensuring my safety by repetitively streaming her diamonds all over the place. She was crying over my chest with horror at that thought, making me feel guilty. I apologized for the first time in my life for what I did.
Everyone sucked their asses with reflex as soon as she slapped me fearlessly in front of all family members. I deserved it. No one has the right to hurt her fragile heart, not even God. Then who am I to do so? Just an animal who lives at the mercy of her smile. This mafia lord of all Europe was a slave of her emotions.
No one dared to ask me why I did this fucking obnoxious joke, but she not only asked, but punished me too. I never thought she would get this deeply impacted and lose control over her.
The words my ears were logging to hear from a long time were finally landed at their destination, but the way they were delivered from her infuriated tone felt like a scar over my soul. I never wanted to break her down like this. I was aiming only to scar her a bit.
I looked at her yelling figure, which was silent for too long for my sanity. Watching her hitting me really makes my inner dead soul smile with hope. I let her hit me how much he wanted, as she was rewarding her every hit. She was shouting out how much she loves me and pouring her raw emotions without caring, my entire family was watching us with their dropped jaws.
She got tired easily, and her hands were brushing over my chest, holding no more strength to beat me. I pulled her closer, hugging her tightly, and took my calming potion of her fragrance. She melted in my arms as she was used to without resisting, coughing a few times, holding me tighter. Marc gave me a glass of water and I made her drink.
She looked up at me, drenching her delicate throat with cool water, gaining fresh energy to torcher me more. Her anger didn’t subside a bit. She pushed me with her all strength, pinning me over the bed and advanced, climbing over me while sitting on my waist. I turned to everyone while she was busy glaring at me.
They left the room without uttering a word with their weird faces. Marc was the only one who was smirking, and dad was struggling to keep his face straight while the rest were stupefied with her move. Sab closed the door behind his back, leaving us alone.
The blade glare of her hadn't gotten blunt at all, the same which made my heart beat on the first day of my work, they had sharpened somehow. She grabbed my collar in both of her hands and pulled me closer to her face, violently.
“Do you know what I hate the most in this world?” I was surprised by her question. Nothing was coming in my mind to answer her. We never had that kind of talk.
“I hate that I love you and haven’t succeeded in stopping loving you.” Circling my hands around her neck, I pulled her down over my chest. She wasn’t refusing my touch, but her anger wasn’t leaving her eyes either. Her provocative chest was rising up and down, daring me to cross every limit.
“Do you think you can succeed in it? Never. This, your seductive body, intelligent mind, the heart which chants my name, even your serene soul belongs to me.” She clutched her teeth as my confession ignited her anger more, pulling her soft lips to land over mine.
