Having the spotlight on him, Gravax was asked a question that sparked the Granian Lord’s interest.
His statement, the one about the Ethisians possibly winning the war no matter all of the Granian race’s efforts, made the Granian Lord himself wonder just what exactly Gravax meant. Instead of letting Gravax keep him and the others in suspense like he usually did, Grania peered over his face, expecting a satisfactory answer. The rıghtful source is 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩⁂𝖿𝗂𝗋𝖾⁂𝔫𝔢𝔱
"How will this help the Ethisians win the war, and how can we use it to our advantage?"
Everyone looked at Gravax, waiting to hear his response. The Granian looked at them, then at the mechanisms, then at the Granian Lord, repeating the cycle over three times.
Sensing their growing unease, he opened his mouth and started explaining as articulately but simply as he could, already aware of how his words usually flew over many heads.
"The Ethisians have been able to weaponize a black hole. As I said to everyone here, it was once theorized that such a thing was possible, but no one was able to pull it off successfully. Well, that mechanism in that ship shows they have managed to do that. Who knows what else they have managed to do?
"Now, if they have managed to convert a dying star into a black hole, harvest it, and subdue it to a simple firing mechanism, imagine if they did the same to a star? Since they were able to do this to a black hole, I theorize that the Ethisians or whoever did this can harvest a literal star and use it as a new energy source.
"Imagine the millions of possibilities that’ll unlock for us if we can harvest and harness the power of a star? It’ll eliminate the use of fuel rods. We will no longer rely on beast crystals for trade and weaponry. Our weapons and tools will be more effective and lethal. And our ships will be able to travel for centuries without needing to land to refuel.
"It can also be used to make weapons that can incinerate bodies. Lord Grania, imagine if the regular Granian soldier wielded a blaster that could produce a shot that is as hot as a star’s surface? That will not only incinerate bodies but also destroy machinery, other weapons, or even a battalion, depending on how much energy they put out.
"But on the dark side, if they harvest the full power of a sun, they can destroy entire armies, metropolises...and even planets. We all know the first planet they’ll go to if they get their hands on such power."
"I see," Grania sighed while he and everyone who listened to Gravax’s words processed them, "and the black hole. What does it do?"
"This is what they used to get from Edenia to the last planet we were on so quickly."
"I’m not certain, it’s just a theory. I do not know the science behind it fully; all I have are theories."
"Then it’s your duty to figure it out and duplicate it," Grania, shouting instead of speaking, commanded the Granian, "the only advantage we had was the Blood Mutants WHICH we already knew could be countered by the Ethisians’ own. The second was going to be those clones you’re still growing. We cannot let them have one that cannot be countered.
"I grant you full authority to gather as many resources as you need to accomplish this goal, Gravax. Every ship, every Granian, every slave is at your disposal. Use it well. You have a small window to execute this before I assign it to someone else..."
"Oh please," he scoffed, "no one in all of Grania’s is as mentally gifted as I am."
"You close to cracking cloning, aren’t you?" Grania questioned with a cocky snubby smirk growing on his scaly boastful face, "I’m sure we can clone that brain of yours and insert it into ten clones. That way, I’ll get ten of you that know better than to speak back to their Lord."
"Yes, Lord Grania." Gravax bowed and, after that, returned to work while Grania left to handle other matters.
Already, the Granian got to work, having thought of ways to carefully play around with the black hole in the box. While the clones grew, he focused entirely on the black hole, sitting down with some of the smartest Granians at his disposal, thinking of ways of harvesting both black holes and stars.
As that occurred, the fleet they were in continued transversing through the empty, black void of space, waiting on the Granian Lord for a plan.
Before entering the gates, the Granians split themselves into four large fleets led by four authority heads.
The first was led by Lord Gravax, whose fleet was to attack the center of the Ethisian half of Akrina.
The second, led by the former Lord, Grim, and his mate Helda, was to attack from the left side of the Ethisians’ half of Akrina, wiping out all the Ethisian race’s allies with brutality and swiftness. The Ethisians could only spread themselves so thin, so it would be a while until they could get to Grim’s fleet...or so they thought.
The third was led by One Horn, tasked with doing the same as Grim’s fleet on the right side of the Ethisians’ half of Akrina.
The fourth fleet’s leader and role were disclosed, only known by Lord Grania himself and its members. The Granian Lord chose a select few members of the Granian race who were not Green Claws, Red Claws, White Claws, or Purple Claws.
Their tasks were unknown, locations unknown, and whereabouts unknown, and communications between them and the other races were non-existent. Theirs was a discreet mission, one that would be revealed after the war was won.
At the moment, the second fleet, led by Grim, had peered through the Gates planted at the Bastion Planet at landed at the edge of the left side of Akrina.
Grim’s ship was among the largest, containing almost more than a quarter of Granian soldiers, ships, and equipment, along with Cyclitharan soldiers. Accompanying him on the battlefield were the two Blood Knights...who were currently convulsing on the ground...in the middle of a war above, and on, a planet.
