But this is kinda strange, according to what I heard, the systems back on earth don’t bring change peoples capabilities, or could every system do this and everyone just lied or didn’t know?" Xenon said thoughtfully. "What if this characteristics of the system I got is exactly the reason why it malfunctioned. Well it’s no use now, I should really stop reverting back to the circumstances around my death." Xenon shook his head in an attempt to chase the scene of his death away while distributing his stat points between his attributes.

"Thanks for the reminder, you bastard" Xenon grimaced. "System... hey system... ignoring me huh?... shit! I have no other choice." Xenon stood up to go look for the butler. He found him in the horse shed eventually.
"Master Xenon, do you by any chance require my help with something". Qweri said as soon as he spotted Xenon.
"Now that you mention it, I do need help with something" Xenon said as he stood by a horse, brushing it’s mane.
"I’d rather you don’t do that young master." Qweri collected the brush from him and led him outside to the apple tree nearby and made him sit on the chair in it’s shade.
"You said you needed something of me, may I know what that is?". The old man Qweri, who has been their butler since when Xenon’s dad was a kid squeezed up his face in a frown, the sun shining on his head covered by a light bush of wilting grey hair. He was clad in a simple white shirt and black trousers, he fixed his stern black eyes on Xenon. The young master never failed to get him in trouble, especially when he requests something of him in this way.
"You’ll be going to collect stuff to restock the mansion’s store with soon, right?". Xenon inquired.
"Yes, to restock on the foodstuff and other items that are almost exhausted in the mansion. Why do you ask?".
"Oh... you see, I simply require your assistance to help me grab a potion, just one"
"I hope it’s not another spirit rejuvenating potion, Miss Elsa would be very upset if you took another one".
"No, actually, this time I want a core crippling draught, just one bottle".
Qweri was wide eyed with shock, ’Does this boy want to kill himself that badly’. He thought.
"May I know what you intend to do with this... item?". Qweri asked cautiously.
"Oh you don’t need to worry, Qweri, I don’t intend to kill myself" Xenon replied with a faint smile on his lips. "It’s just that when I was in the study yesterday I found one of the same draught and picked it up to check it. Unfortunately, I clumsily dropped the bottle... it broke, spilling the contents. So I thought I would get a new one and replace it before my sister finds out cause she’s probably the one who placed it there". Xenon cooked up a quick lie. ’I hope he falls for it’. He wished inwardly.
"Are you sure you’re being honest with me young master?". Qweri asked
"Yes, yes, definitely". Xenon smiled innocently.
"Hmmn... My worries have been abated a bit, but still, try to careful young master, what if you inadvertently cut yourself or spilled some of the draught into your mouth. Not only would I have been in trouble but your sister too will be deeply worried. Think of the trouble you’ll put your sister through before you do something reckless". Qweri advised.
"Ah,yes, I shall me more careful in the future and not worry either of you". Xenon replied half heartedly.
Qweri nodded slowly.
"So... the draught?".
"Not to worry young master, I shall get the draught you requested for". Qweri said with a worried tone.
"Thank you Qweri". Xenon smiled, sincerly this time and stood up to leave, but stopped after walking a few steps away from the apple tree. "I almost forgot, please don’t tell my sister about this Qweri, she will definitely be upset, or worried, or both, and I don’t want her to get stop me from going to the study. Thank you once again".
"No problem, young master". Qweri replied weakly.
’Ah, I feel bad deceiving this old man, but I got no choice. Since I’m not allowed to leave the manor myself and I have to get that draught by any means necessary, using the butler is the only thing I can do’. Xenon said to himself as he walked into the mansion. ’Let’s just hope Elsa doesn’t find out about this’.
"I wonder how Melcrow is doing back on earth". Xenon sighed, he was momentarily overcome by sadness as he couldn’t see his actual sister and didn’t know the condition she was in after his sudden death. "But at least she’s got Groggins, I’m sure my best friend will not let anything bad happen to her and help out whenever she needs him." He tried to convince himself that she was living well with little to no troubles. "I should focus more on living as Xenon adapting to this world, earth is practically doomed and there’s no way to go back to my only family. I should enjoy life on this beautiful planet instead, I wonder if this one is named earth too..." Xenon muttered to himself
