The old man called Grandfather took his seat at the left end of the table on the largest chair in the room. He motioned for everyone to sit and they obeyed, the young man accompanying him sitting down to his right, directly opposite Gael.
Xenon immediately looked away from the old man after taking his seat, not willing to make eye contact with him. He looked around trying to busy himself by studying the room.
’Wait a minute, doesn’t this system have a scan skill? I’ve never used it once except for the day I woke up here. Let’s see what it’s capable of’. Xenon remembered as his eyes surveyed the room.
’Scan’. He said while looking at a large glass bowl at the centre of the room, containing grapes.

His eyes moved away from the bowl and swept over other objects on the table, scanning each one.

’System, why is the info incomplete and what are the large dots for?’. Xenon asked the system annoyed by not able to get a full information on the tablecloth.

’Scan’. Xenon said to his system once again.

’Ah ha, so it does work on humans!’. Xenon exclaimed inward, happily, as he scanned a guy sitting on the other side of the table, exactly opposite Elsa.
Perce was sporting short jet black hair and cold black eyes that seemed to not have a care in the world. He looked very much like the woman on the right end of the table, thereby bearing a faint resemblance to Xenon.
’He should be her first child’. Xenon muttered. He looked up to Perce’s face once more and their eyes met.
Perce smiled very faintly, but continued to stare into Xenon’s eyes, not planning on looking away first.
’Creepy’. Xenon thought and looked away reluctantly. He grimaced and searched for another target.
NAME: YVELTA PRASEDYMUM
STATE: IMPATIENT, CURIOUS
’And she should be Perce’s immediate younger sister’. Xenon thought as he stared at Yvelta who was sitting directly opposite him, just beside Perce.
She had pale, long, caramel hair, light brown eyes and a beautiful face that bore the mark of fatigue. Xenon couldn’t tell the exact length of her hair as it flowed past her waist, the table blocking the rest of it from view. She was carefully studying Xenon that he almost didn’t notice her quick sharp gazes.
He moved away from her to continue scanning the members of his family seated around the table.

This was the man who accompanied their grandfather down the stairs. He noticed Xenon’s gaze and stared back at him, no coldness, no smile, no show of emotion, he just stared.
’Geez. What’s with the stares’. Xenon averted his gaze quickly and moved to another person.
NAME: TAMARA PRASEDYMUM
Her deep brown eyes had been fixed upon Xenon since he came into the room, their eyes met and they locked gazes for more than a few seconds.
’I’ve lost two staring contests, I’m not losing to you too’. Xenon said to himself, not backing off this time.
Tamara gritted her teeth, swept a stray strand of her waist long, black hair away from her face, and looked away.

’Great! just what i needed, more hate’. Xenon grimaced and moved to someone else.

’What... happened to her?’. Xenon thought as he looked at her.
She had beautiful, braided, caramel hair which had grown very long that the braids lay spread out on the floor behind her. She put on a large brown shroud that obscured all her features save for her face.
Feeling Xenon’s gaze, she looked up at him. She became teary eyed as she looked at Xenon with a hint of recognition. Her eyes travelled to his hair and she immediately looked away, her expression sadder than before.
He looked away from her, confused by her actions, but also curious. She should be his father’s immediate elder sister according to Elsa’s description.
He looked back to the little girl with snow white hair, her blue eyes were staring at him warmly, she smiled nervously when their gazes connected.
NAME: SKYE PRASEDYMUM
STATE: EXCITED, NERVOUS, SHY
He wanted to smile back but felt the hostility directed at him from the woman beside her, he moved his gaze to her and his heart skipped a beat.
She had her caramel hair made into a bun, her not so beautiful face scrunched up into a frown that made her more frightening, her deep brown eyes locked directly at him.

’What’s with these people and creepy stares’. He muttered as he swept his gaze away from her as quickly as he could.
"Mom!". Skye tapped her mother who had just destroyed her attempt to have a chat with Xenon.
Aritstia glanced at her daughter, forced a warm smile and patted her on the head a little too roughly.
Xenon shifted his gaze to his Grandfather, the chair he was seated on made him look even more foreboding.
STATE: IN DEEP THOUGHT
’Um, system. Why can’t I see his name?’. Xenon asked in confusion. The system simply ignored him. ’System? What the hell? Not only are you not providing his name but you’re also ignoring me. What’s so special about his name that I can’t see it’. Xenon mind was in turmoil.
’Wait... now that I think about it, doesn’t everyone just calls him Grandfather, I’ve never heard anyone call him anything apart from that. It’s like no one knows his name, maybe even the system doesn’t’. Xenon contemplated, still staring at the old man.
His continuous gaze alerted the old man, he looked at Xenon and smiled dryly. Xenon swallowed.
"Xenon, my lovely gradson". The grandfather said.
"Would you mind sharing with us how you miraculously cured yourself of a 14 year old illness deemed incurable?". He stared firmly at Xenon with his brown eyes and smiled mischievously.
’Just as I saw in the memories, cunning bastard’. Xenon grimaced inwardly.
