ARIAN STORM: CLAIMING HER Chapter 55

~Amy~ When Mary had cleaned everything and put a heavy bandage on me, she put a sweater and track pants on me. The sweater definitely didn't belong to a girl, because it was too big for that. The sports pants, however, do. "Thank you," I mumbled shyly. "Not for that," Mary said, smiling at me. Then she pulled me into a tight hug and I felt something wet on my neck. "Are you crying?" I asked her softly. She pulled back and only held my hands. "I hope something like this never happens to you again. I would love to keep you here, but my husband, Peter, would be against it," she said sadly. "How old are you actually?" Mary asked me and I met her eyes. "15" I answered shortly. "I don't want to know what you must have done that made you suffer like this," she said and turned to the things she had provided me with. "Nothing" I said after a moment of silence and Mary looked at me questioningly. "I didn't do anything. Sometimes I just had a big mouth and I didn't really like my alpha either. He knew that too, but he couldn't easily throw me out. Someone then said something bad about me to him and that's it away. He's chasing me. They wanted me dead, but my former best friend saved me. She's our alpha's soulmate." I explained to her, but then quickly became quiet again. I really didn't want to trust anyone so quickly, but I felt safe here. "I'm sorry. I'll show you your room" she said and opened the door for me. I nodded and ran after her. "You will sleep with my son in the house. He is the only one who has a room left, otherwise we would of course have offered you another room." she said and looked at me encouragingly. Great. Now I was allowed to sleep with a boy. But I couldn't complain. After all, I was the rogue here. "Are you coming Amy?" asked Mary smiling. I nodded and ran after her. We stopped in front of a big house. I stopped spitting when I saw it properly. It was a modern white house with a flat roof. It had a wooden garage and quite a few tall windows. Also one side of the house had retained the wooden style. The door of the house was made of wood and next to it there was also a tall window. Mary rang the bell and her son opened the door. Either the boy from the cave had a twin or he was standing across from me. He made room for a moment and I was taken directly into the house. I didn't have time to look around in any way and was immediately whisked into the living room. It was pretty plain and kept in white. In the center was a large corner sofa with a view of the village outside. To my right was a large fireplace and underneath was the wood. Small lamps hung above the sofa, which became one big one. We took a seat on the corner sofa, in front of which was a fluffy white rug and a table. "Amy, Mason. Mason, Amy." Mary introduced us to each other. "Amy," Mason muttered to himself. I looked at him skeptically. "That's my name," I said, and he snapped out of his thoughts. Mary gave me a few fresh things and I was allowed to move into the guest room. When I saw it, I stopped spitting again. There was a wooden double bed in the middle of the room. On the left wall was a wooden chest of drawers and next to it was a door. Probably a bath. There was a cupboard against the left wall and a small desk in front of it. I put Mary's things neatly on the dresser. I sat on my bed and rested a little. I couldn't sleep, but I could close my eyes and doze off. I also overheard Mason arguing with his mother. "Why didn't you tell me she's only 15?" he asked angrily. He sounded really angry. "You really think I didn't mean to? But you wouldn't listen to us. We can always send them away." said Mary. So you wanted to send me away after all. "No! I won't leave her alone like that, not to mention that I can't do without her anymore." He said the last sentence more quietly and calmly. Still with a pleading undertone in his voice. It was quiet for a moment and then a door slammed shut. Mary must have gone. I opened my eyes and went to the window behind the bed. "Do you like the room?" a harsh voice asked behind me. "Yes" I whispered. I didn't want to turn to him. He walked away and I felt a tension release that I hadn't noticed before. Now I also noticed that I was very hungry. No wonder. I hadn't eaten anything since yesterday morning. I got up slowly and walked out of the guest room. In front of me was the living room where I walked past the fireplace to get into the kitchen. There I met someone who now made it his business to ignore me. "Can I eat something?" I asked him shyly. Mason just pointed to the fridge and mumbled something like, get it. Of course I didn't let myself be told twice and opened it. There wasn't really anything special. I grabbed a yoghurt and closed the fridge again. I took a bowl out of a closet and poured the yoghurt into it. To do this, I took a spoon and a knife from a drawer, which fortunately was the first. I grabbed another apple from the fruit bowl on the table and cut it into my yogurt. We were silent while I ate. I stared at my food and he stared at me. Like he thought I wouldn't notice. I decided to confront him about it because I felt so naked under his gaze. "Couldn't you stare at me like that?" I asked politely without even looking at him. He averted his gaze and walked out of the room. Just like that, without telling me anything. I sighed softly. I'd be out of here by tomorrow at the latest and going to that pack our old alpha had talked about.
