Nadia returned Angel's scrutiny, feeling quite out of her element and with intense possessive lust. Something inside her was fuelling the weird feeling of proprietorship and another, she was sure must be the logical and sane one, was urging her to run while she still could, reminding her that this ‘being’ was not the mere human males she was used to. Besides, her father would never allow it, that was if he even survived being hunted down by her uncle and cousins. The thought made her heart ache. She had never thought of what her life would be after he escaped but now it was inevitable.
Angel felt and saw the shift in her emotion; his beast grew restless confirming it. He sighed, thinking he was right to not let her see him fully shift, but now he had and it was obvious it had triggered something inside her.
"Let's finish this," he said with a hard edge in his voice and strode into the tunnel and past Nadia. She followed him and the others trailed behind.
When they got to the centre of the secret passage, Angel raised a hand up to stop them, moving close to Nadia, he held her gaze and said, "Thank you, you can go up to your room so we can all head back to the pit." Nadia's eyes darted in their sockets. She wanted to stay with him, especially knowing their time together was short now. But she couldn't tell him that with others there so she nodded, lowered her gaze, turned around and left.
Angel waited standing there for her to get farther away before turning to the others.
“Okay, this is how we plant the explosives,” he said as he took one out, raising it so everyone could see, and demonstrate. Then he added, "Kurt, Blaze, Odwolf, you are going to follow me up the building to plant the explosives. Fenrir, Amarok, Ralph and Hrolf, you four will scout the grounds and plant two explosives at the infirmary where the guards are kept. Another two are to be planted where they keep their weapons. And one each under every vehicle in this compound, starting with Antonio Rufus' car, Dan and Mathew. I will take care of planting it where they sleep. You don't need to go inside, just find a strategic corner to hide it. After that, find your way back to the pit. I don’t need to tell you all that our lives depend on this and we need to act fast and keep it quiet—”
“What do we do if someone sees us?” Hrolf asked.
Fenrir turned to him and replied, “He just said our lives depend on it. If you don’t understand what that means let me simplify it for you, Hrolf. He meant we can’t get caught and if we do, we make sure whoever it is never crying wolf.”
“Fenrir is in charge,” Angel said, the others chuckled. Hrolf grumbled and glared at Fenrir. Angel opened the other gate that led back to the compound to the other four weres and waited for about a minute more before turning away, walking purposefully to the secret door that led to the house. Kurt, Blaze and Odwolf followed him.
Angel took the three Weres from floor to floor, finding and planting the explosives behind the house features. And it was quite effortless because the explosives were shaped as a stick of diminutive dynamite and grenade, with a strong adhesive stick-on and digitalized watch for the countdown.
When they got on Daniel’s floor, Angel saw Blaze tense for about a millisecond before he strode forward with an angry determination that made Angel’s heart tighten. He silently promised himself that he was going to make Daniel’s end, a gruesome and painful one. Instead of the two, they planted on each floor, they planted four on the floor that consisted of the experimentation room.
Odwolf quietly reminded Angel of the drug he spoke of, and they strode to the door, waiting to hear if anyone was inside, and aside from a strong, irritable odour coming from inside the room everything else seemed quiet. Angel pushed the door and was startled to a stop.
Antonio Rufus Frankenstein's doctor was at the foot of the bed with his pants down, ramming his cock into an unconscious human female. The female was tied up and naked and the room reeks of a strong drug that made his eyes water. The older man’s eyes widen in shock when he saw the hefty Weres stride in. Kurt pulled a sheet to cover the girl and checked if she was alive, when he found a pulse, he nodded to Angel. Odwolf went straight for the doctor’s drug cabinet to rummage through. Blaze lifted the doctor and made him sit on a recliner by the corner of the room.
“Please, I …I,” he stuttered. Blaze mimicked him, mocking him then glowered at the human.
“She is unconscious and you are fucking her, defend yourself…” Blaze said in a chilly tone. The older man swallowed hard.
