Anthon passed her a shopping bag with clothing in.
Gabriella changed into the clothing, feeling weird to be out of the hospital gown finally. She came out of the bathroom wearing skinny jeans, slip-on, and a casual t-shirt with a floral print on. She is busy tying her long hair into a ponytail.
"Shall we?" Anthon asked holding out his hand.
They walked out hand in hand. Nurses, doctors, and hospital staff greeting them with smiles. They walked past the floor that Zurier is lying on finding Alex sitting there.
"Going home?" Alex asked puzzled.
"Yeah, I didn't know," Gabriella said. Alex quickly grabbed her available hand, need a ride? I can take you home."
"I got it, I will take her home," Anthon said, dragging her along.
"Let me know if you need anything," Alex quickly said lifting his camera to take a quick photo while Anthon's back is still turned at him and Gabriella smiling back at him.
Alex is grateful to get the photo for his News-site but did wish that it were him instead, holding her hand and taking her home.
It is a silent ride home.
Anthon suggested he stay the night with her, and Gabriella is ok with that as she is not sure if she is ready to be alone. Her family home had enough rooms after all.
The next day she commenced class and work. Anthon drove her around so that she does not have to take the bus.
The evening came and she started her cleaning job. She is happy that she will graduate soon and will not need the cleaning job anymore. This evening when she is busy mopping floors and Alex came in to speak to some patients, they chatted a bit and Alex assured her that he will be taking her home after her shift. Alex did his rounds, speaking to patients that had nothing better to do but share their stories while Gabriella cleaned.
Gabriella felt a strong aura and followed it only to find herself in Zurier's room. She cleaned her hands and took Zurier's hand. A bolt of sparks flew through her and she dropped his hand from shock. Gabriella's hand tingled a bit and from the corner of her eye she could see angels standing on both of her sides. She slowly reaches out again and took his hand and is prepared for the spark again.
Gabriella felt warm, calm, and conflicted all at the same time. Zurier felt the sparks as well but is unable to respond. He heard a small voice. "Why don't you wake up?" He recognized Gabriella's voice and finally felt at peace... he did manage to save her that night. Gabriella could swear she felt the man's hand squeeze hers. She placed her other hand on top of his and gently held his hand in both of hers. She lost track of time staring at his angelic face.
Her phone beeps. She jumps out of her trance and let go of Zurier's hand. She looked at her phone. 'I AM OUTSIDE'. She read the message from Alex. She saw the time and quickly put away the cleaning equipment. As she walked towards Alex her phone beeped again and it is a message from Anthon. 'WHAT TIME DO YOU GET OFF, I CAN TAKE YOU HOME.' She sends him a message back and greeted Alex with a hug.
"Thank you for taking me home." When they arrived at her house Alex walked her to her door. They hugged again and then Alex cooped her face with both his hands. He wanted to kiss her but instead, he said, "I am always here for you." They hugged again and said goodbye. Inside, Gabriella leaned against the door and waited until she heard Alex drive off. She took a relaxing bath and wondered what just happened. She wanted Alex to kiss her.
She got to bed and for the first time since her incident, she had a different dream than her usual dreams about what happened to her. Tonight's dream is still scary thou. She dreamt of the stranger in the hospital bed. She dreamt that an angel rips of his wings and the man dying. She woke up drenched in sweat. She sat up straight catching her breath. From the corner of her eye, she saw an angel. She took off her clothes and got into the other side of the bed. She immediately caught Anthon's smell, 'did he sneak in last night and slept next to her, without her knowing?' She turned the pillow around. Even though she liked Anthon, for some reason she could not stand his deodorant.
Gabriella has always been too embarrassed to tell him. What would she say? 'Your deodorant reminds me of the night I was raped.' Yeah, she did not think that will leave a good impression. Perhaps she should buy him a gift with a different brand, maybe he will catch a hint. With Anthon in mind she drifted asleep and dreams filled with the night she was raped and in her dreams the man with the Baseball cap on turned into Anthon.
Gabriella woke up with a loud knock on the door. Having taken all her clothing off the previous night she instantly searched around for her nightgown. It is super short as it is meant to be worn with the matching pants that were nowhere in sight. She ran to the door. "Hello, who is it?" she yelled out, making her way to the front door.
"It's me. Don't you have class today?" She heard Anthon's familiar voice. Gabriella opened the door and her noticeably short nightgown fell open exposing her naked body underneath wearing only a j-string.
She quickly tried to compose herself. Anthon gave a gulp and felt himself growing in his pants at the sight of her.
