She enters the room and recognizes the man from the photo Alex showed her. She approaches his bed. As she got nearer to the beautiful man lying in bed, she felt calmness coming over her. She reached out to touch his hand and as soon as she did a bolt of electricity shot through her hand. She felt the surge reaching all the way to her heart, making it skip a beat. As her heart skip a beat Angel Zurier's heart rating machine showed a spike. Gabriella got such a fright that she jumps a step backward and quickly left the room, thinking that her always dragging her feet might have caused electricity to build up in her.
Angel Zurier could feel Gabriella’s presence but is unable to wake up but the bolt of electricity that she sends down his body helped him to awake.
With a breathing pipe still down his throat, he started to panic and that made the machine alarm, sending an emergency signal to the dashboard. The nurses quickly ran towards his room, Gabriella got out of the way, pushing her body against the wall, ‘om my gosh, I killed him.’ She thinks to herself.
Gabriella quickly made her way to another floor, hoping that she won’t get blamed. The rest of the night she struggled to keep her mind at her cleaning, but her thoughts wandered to the man, the beautiful man in the bed, ‘or is he the beautiful dead man, in the morgue by now?’ she worries.
After her shift, she went to the room where the beautiful man is. She stood outside the door, scared to look inside. She finally got the courage together to look inside and took a deep breath when she saw the man is not in the room.
“I killed him,” she whispers, tears forming in her eyes. She walked to the hospital exit only to find Alex there waiting for her.
Alex could see something is off, “what’s wrong?” he asked as he opened his car door for her.
“Nothing, just tired,” Gabriella says as she gets into the car. Unlike the drive to work this ride is silent. Alex kept on looking over at Gabriella, wondering what is wrong.
When they arrived at her house she got out, “thank you for the ride, bye.”
Alex hoped that he would get an invitation to stay the night, ‘guess not,’ he thinks to himself as he drives off.
Not far from her house Anthon is hiding, pleased to see that Alex did not go inside. Anthon drove off, deciding he will return in the morning.
Gabriella took a shower, crying through most of it. After her shower, she went straight to bed and cried herself to sleep. The next morning, she got woken up by her doorbell. She stretched and looked at the time, “10 am,” she said out loud before getting out of bed.
Gabriella is wearing pajama shorts with a matching strappy top. She grabbed her nightgown and wrapped it around her as she made her way downstairs.
The doorbell rang again before she could get to the door.
“Coming,” she yelled out.
She opened the door, “Alex.”
“Good morning,” Alex greets her with a big smile. But lost his smile when he saw in what bad mood Gabriella is in.
“I will come back later; this is a bad time?”
“Kind of, I am busy prepping for my exams,” Gabriella wanted to confine in Alex but didn’t know how too so she shut her door before he asks any questions.
Gabriella tried to study for an hour before her doorbell rang again, thinking that it is Alex again she opened it, “sorry for earlier,..”
“Hi,” Anthon greets her stepping into her house so that she cannot deny him.
“Hi, I am actually busy studying, you should come back another day,” Gabriella stays standing at her door with it open so that he can leave again.
“Well, I organized you paid study leave until your exams are over. My mom said it is actually something they give to everyone that has worked at the hospital for longer than a year,” Anthon smiles.
“Thank you, I did not know that.”
“Yeah, she didn’t even know that you have exams.”
“We don’t talk much.”
“So, put down the books and go get dressed. I am taking you out and afterward, we will buckle down and get these books into that pretty little head of yours,” Anthon says pulling her closer and before she could turn away kisses her on her mouth.
Gabriella wanted to pull away, but he held her so tight and his kiss is so forceful that she couldn’t.
As soon as Anthon released her, she quickly went upstairs before he grabs her again.
‘How am I going to get out of this one?’ she asks herself as she changes her clothing.
“Hope we are not going to someplace fancy,” she says out loud to herself as she takes out a pair of skinny jeans with a collar shirt and pumps.
“Nope, that will do,” Anthon surprise her.
“Anthon! Get out!” Gabriella tries to cover her as she is just wearing underwear.
Anthon left her room laughing.
‘What a cheek!’ she thought to herself.
When she got downstairs, she is still upset, “please don’t do that again.”
“Sorry, won’t happen again,” Anthon says
Gabriella locked up her house and Anthon walked ahead to his car getting in.
Gabriella liked the way Alex always open her car door and thought that Anthon will be more of a gentleman.
Anthon deliberately took Gabriella to the pub across from the hospital. Earlier the day he overheard some of the nurses talk about Alex and that today is normally when he spends his evenings at the pup for the live entertainment.
As they arrived at the pub Gabriella is a bit taken back, ‘if I knew he would just bring me to the pup I would have stayed home,’ she thought to herself.
‘This is like our first date and he brings me to a pup, I thought he is like stylish, guess I am wrong,’ Gabriella thinks as she gets out of the car.
