He freezes before turning to his comrade, "Czar you should be very careful with your words, if Mace hears this then he won't hesitate to throw you out, he doesn't want to hear anything about Arcadia, how can you go around telling him that he is sill in love with her after everything that had happened?!" Loki was worse than a nagging mother, Czar rolls her eyes,
"If it wasn't a big deal for master then he wouldn't have an issue talking about it, but since he's clearly still attached he's doing everything to forget." He rubs his wrinkled nose, "but I doubt if he would ever be able to forget her, she would always be that quest he couldn't conquer." Czar begins to walk ahead and it's only a matter of a few strides for Loki to meet up with him,
"So what are you suggesting we do? Make him forget about her? Is that even possible?" Czar smirks a little,
"All a man needs is another woman in his life and he has forgotten his whole past, we would find someone appropriate for him. But for now, I think we should pick from one of the maids." He points to a pretty one,
"Are you mad? He won't accept Omegas to mate with!! Our master is not that low." Loki really felt like slapping the back of his flat head, such an insult,
"Remember he's a man first before he's an Alpha." Czar laughs caustically and Loki begins to give it a thought, it would be best to consult the sage about it. He had so much respect for her and it would put him at ease if he heard what she had to say.
"So, what have we planned for my coronation? I want lots of food and dancing," she is seated elegantly on the throne with a lot of eyes staring at her as she looked at the list they brought to her, "why isn't there music here, and green is not my favorite color, what is the meaning of this officers?" She throws the list down in annoyance.
"Princess, we are trying to make you understand that you're too young to rule, let Beta Azeah take over this situation so the kingdom won't be subjected to attacks; it's only natural for them to want to attack when they see a woman on the throne." The elder wolf, sage Mazi spoke with great dexterity.
Arcadia rolls her eyes to the moon and back, "and where were you all when we were attacked that day? I didn't see you sage, or Beta Azeah, I didn't see anyone of you! You ran away with your tail behind your legs and now you're here trying to claim my mother's kingdom?!"
"Princess, what an abomination! This kingdom belonged to Magnus and not Octavia, do not invite the goddess's wrath upon yourself with these lies. He—" the preachy sage is cut off,
"My mother built it to what it is!! It's because of her clan and its people that we are well known and not the useless decisions my father took while he was still ruling." She takes in a very deep breath, "I would grant you one last chance, change this list to suite my taste or I would ruin all of you!! Get out of my sight!!" She screams and they all glance at each other, having sour looks on their faces,
"Very well princess, we shall leave," Beta Azeah bows respectfully before leaving in haste, the others follow behind him like stray dogs and when they were gone, she slumps her shoulders,
"Those old men are something else." She rubs her head, she already had a headache, "no wonder mother aged so quickly, always shouting at everyone and everything,"
"May I offer you a glass of water my Queen?"
Her eyes trail to meet the owner of the voice and she sees her favorite person; not Xerxes, her new crush. His eyes were an alluring silver and his hair was blacker than a moonless night, he was slender but built and was at a height.
She blushes a little as she took the glass from him, "thank you so much darling, it's only a matter of time before I drive those hags to retirement." She rolls her eyes once more and her gesture makes him chuckle,
"You should do so fast," he moves closer to her and the heat between her legs increases, "there's a maid coming with a glass of wine, make her drink it and watch her demise." He smiles to her before stepping back to clear room and as he had predicted a maid did come and she was offering her a glass of juice,
"My lady, the sage thought you might be stressed so he asked me to give this to you." She takes a curt bow and the soldier looks at Arcadia with a knowing look,
"That's wonderful but I want you to drink it instead." Arcadia dismisses it very quickly,
"What?!" She is scared to death, "how could I do such?! I'm just a maid and I don't deserve to share a cup with the Queen, please don't make me sin this much." She hopes that she would change her mind,
"I said drink it." Arcadia stares her dead in the eyes and she begins to lose control of her mind, she takes the glass and consumes the liquid, she blinks rapidly as the acid began to eat up her insides and suddenly she collapses to the floor not up to 10 seconds, foaming badly.
"Lethal poison is very much available these days, should be careful your majesty." He kicks her dead body with a sadistic smile, "as far as I'm concerned you have more enemies than friends in this palace, watch your back at all times and stay alert." He turns to leave.
"Dear soldier, isn't it shameful of me that I haven't gotten your name yet? Please forgive your Queen but I would love to know your name." Her statement froze him and he smiled a little,
"Asher, forever at your service ma'am." He turns to bow to her once more before taking his leave.
She relaxes in her throne and couldn't stop the swoon that escaped her lips, "Asher.... Asher...." She moaned his name over and over again, "I like you a lot Asher." She grins to herself and looks round to make sure no one heard her, last thing she wanted was her father teasing her about him.
What was there not to like? He was tall and handsome, loyal and strong, he was the perfect man that would swoop her into his arms and carry her away to some place safe, away from all the evil eyes of the palace.
She stares at the maid's body, and she was such a pretty girl, she would've had someone good to spend the rest of her life with. She rises from her throne and uses her fan to poke her dead body,
"Such a waste of a life, now I'm one maid short, all these old men are going to make me lose all my workers." she face palms herself, "guards come and carry this piece of trash out of my throne room!!" She spits on her and clicks her heels out.
