Chapter 14
"Don't let her deceive you! She would kill you eventually!" Magnus tries to get his nephew on his side but it was futile, the look of anger that stained Xerxes face was unimaginable,
"The only person that will die is you, only you. You will die the same way you killed my father." He lowers his guard and moves closer to his mate, "she killed your men for attacking me, I would kill you if this repeats itself ever again."
Octavia couldn't help the smile that was on her face, and Magnus was a dumbfounded fool, all his sins had caught up to him,
"You won't win this war, if this Kingdom burns then we would all burn with it!! Mark my words!!" He storms out and Octavia couldn't help but smirk,
"My love, are you alright?" He kisses her forehead, "I thought I wouldn't reach you in time," he was so scared,
"Your speed can never fail you and so will your love." She returns the kiss, she brings out a bottle from her dress, "give this to our daughter, she would need it more than I do." She places it in his hand and folds his fingers over it.
"Octavia don't do this, you're beginning to scare me, why does she need this?" His eyes fall with fear and she reassures him with a smile,
"She would learn how to use it during the time of war, as for me, I know how to defend myself, she needs all the power she can get. It would be bloody." She explains it to him, "go, and be with her at all times. Don't leave her alone for a second." And he leaves to do her bidding.
Octavia turns to her flute and it disappears as she touches it, she adjusts her dress and hair and steps out of her room, looking as calm as ever. It was best that no one knew what was happening.
There was tension in the castle of alpha Mace, Loki had told him several times not to go into wat but Czar has already convinced him to do otherwise, and Mace had made his decision. They were only waiting for the sage to give them advice.
And she was here. Walking ever so slowly to the throne room, she didn't rush, she took her time to get there and they waited patiently for her since she was elderly.
Sativa was close to 400 years old and it was one of the reasons she was respected, her vast knowledge and ability to see the future made her the first woman to be respected by Kings and princes. In fact they believed she had a direct linkage to the goddess herself.
"Your majesty, you summoned me?" She was elderly but she still spoke with a lot of energy, her hair was completely grey and her eyes were sealed shut due to age, she was blind. But she could see things that most people couldn't,
"Yes, this issue about the princess of the North, she has rejected me and even sent me to war with her, what do you have to say about that?" His tone is cocky and rude and this made the sage shake her head,
"Your majesty you are too hasty to go into bloodshed, calm down and consider why the princess said this, then you would understand." She hums words of wisdom and Loki is vibing with her openly because he had said the same thing to his half brother.
"She insulted his mother sage!! And she declared war!! What is there to understand?!" Czar proves a point and. Mace hums in agreement, Sativa shakes her head once more,
"I would only want the best for you, what you are planning to do will only spell trouble for you master. If you think you would break Arcadia by fighting her then you're highly mistaken, she would fight back and drive you with your tail between your legs." She warns,
"Are you now saying that the little girl is more powerful than our Master?!" Czar was past his boiling point and was establishing new ones,
"What do you think we should do sage?" Loki intervenes before Czar did something wrong out of anger,
"I have said master shouldn't but if he wants to then he can go ahead, you know where to find me when trouble arises." She does a cute and slow about turn and starts to walk away, which Czar and Mace found very rude.
"What do you think? What will you do now that you've heard her?" Loki hoped he would change his mind,
"Prepare the soldiers, we're going to war." But he didn't.
Everything in her sight was burning, and Mace was the cause of it, her Kingdom had been set ablaze during the night and enemy troops had poured in like water, killing everyone in their sight. This was punishment for rejecting him.
"Arcadia are you okay?!!" The Queen screams as she beheaded an attacker, she runs to her daughter, "why aren't you fighting? What is wrong? Has your morale dropped so suddenly?" It felt like her daughter was broken, "Arcadia??!" She shakes her violently,
"Mother!!!" She jolts from her sleep to see the soulful eyes of her mom staring deep into her soul, "mother.....fire....it—"
"Yes, I have a feeling we would be attacked tonight." She looks very distressed, there was only so much they could do to defend themselves, she just hoped they could scale thought it but she had to appear calm so the whole kingdom won't be thrown into chaos.
"What are we going to do mother? How would be defend our Kingdom? I know father would take their side in a desperate bid to Save himself....." Magnus was the start of the whole dilemma, he should have never invited those wolves in the first place, if he had asked her first then they wouldn't be facing this problem but he just went ahead to assume that she would be interested in someone she never met.
And now he was nowhere to be seen.
