Affinity: Chaos Chapter 1914

Chapter 1914: Teacher And Student Reunion Grey stayed in this state for two more days before he came to, when he looked around, he noticed his body was covered in snow. Surprised, he stood up only to sense a strong chill coming not too far from the place he was sitting on the mountain. “Huh?” A confused looked appeared on his face as he noticed a familiar aura, walking closer, he realized the person seated cross-legged was none other than his mother. “When did she get here?” He muttered to himself in a low voice. From what he could tell, his mother seemed to be in a very critical phase of cultivating, his only confusion was what she was doing out here and when she got here. If his memory was right, it has only been a few minutes or so since he came here. He decided not to disturb his mother, rather, he immediately started to create an array formation around this place to help concentrate more essence in this place. Not just that, he also created two more array formations to help conceal the fact that the essence energy here is higher than the rest of this area. The other was a form of alarm and defensive formation that should alert him while also momentarily stopping whatever or whoever that stumbles in this direction. Although he was a little confused as he did not know just how much time had passed, he speculated he might have been here for a while, and maybe his mother came here to protect him and most likely got an epiphany and started cultivating in the end. Grey’s movements while setting up the array formation and the sudden surge of essence in this area alerted his father who was not far behind. The two people he loved more than anything were both in a state of cultivation in the same mountain peak, of course he would not be far away. He rushed over, and saw Grey finishing up the array formations. ‘Oh, no wonder the essence all rushed to this side.’ Lucas thought to himself as he watched his son. He was not knowledgeable about arrays, but he knew of these arrays that could help improve the concentration of essence in some areas. The one Grey made here will likely lose its use in a few weeks or so, enough time for Martha to finish her cultivation. Grey noticed the presence of his father, disappearing from where he stood, reappearing beside his father, “Father.” Lucas gave his son a good look before nodding his head, Grey’s cultivation did not show any signs of improvement, which was a good sign. He was a little worried at the speed Grey was advancing, and if Grey were to break through to the Ninth stage of the Sovereign Plane only a month or so after becoming an Eighth stage Sovereign, he was worried it would affect his foundations. “How long have you been here?” Grey asked after getting a nod of approval from his father. “Two days.” Lucas replied, his eyes still seizing up Grey, noticing Grey was about to ask another question, he added, “You caused a little commotion while cultivating which drew us here. Your mom is benefiting from that commotion of yours.” “Oh… I’m sorry if I caused you any trouble.” Grey realized he might have been careless. He did not even know when he entered a state of cultivation much less when a commotion happened. Given it has been two days or so, then his parents were not the only ones who were drawn here. The only upside is that his mother seems to be benefiting from it. Lucas chuckled, “Come with me, someone has been waiting to see you.” Grey was a little taken aback when he heard this, he did think his friends would be waiting to see him. He could not sense the aura of Void close by which meant he, Klaus and Luthera had not returned from their trip. Alice should still be trying to break through to the Seventh stage of the Sovereign Plane. He was curious, but seeing how his father did not have any intention of telling him who this person was, he could only wait to see who the person was when they got to their destination. With his current cultivation stage, it took less than a minute for the duo to arrive in Red City. As soon as he entered Red City, he sensed a familiar aura, an aura he knew he was familiar with, yet he could not put his finger into who it might be. It did not take long before he knew who the aura belonged to. Outside his house in Red City, sitting lazily outside was a figure he had not seen in a long time. The figure had both eyes closed, and only after Grey and his father walked close did he slowly open his eyes. “Teacher.” Grey called calmly as he looked at the haggard-looking man before him. His Teacher, Chris, who was said to have been away during their arrival had returned. His beards were a bit rough, his short hair had grown out, and he wore loose clothes. Compared to the first time Grey saw his Teacher who seemed eccentric at the time, his Teacher did not look as old. The eccentric and careless look was still there, unfortunately. A smile bloomed on Chris’s face as he saw Grey’s face, he spoke while standing up, only to realize he was a little shorter than Grey now, hugging him he said, “Grey my boy, it’s been a while.” Lucas vanished from view, not wanting to involve himself in the duo’s reunion. He first heard about Chris from his wife and knew that he was the one who took Grey to the Lunar Academy and even set him on the path of Inscribing. If Chris never entered Grey’s life, there was a high possibility that he would have never ventured into array formations. Other than not wanting to disrupt the duo’s reunion, he still had to ensure he kept his wife safe. Grey and his Teacher did not take note of Lucas leaving, both exchanging pleasantries. “How are you already in the Eighth stage of the Sovereign Plane?” Chris’s eyes almost popped out of his sockets when he sensed Grey’s cultivation stage. He knew Grey’s cultivation speed would drastically improve after moving to the Aurora Continent, and after the last time he saw him, he worked even harder with his own cultivation and managed to become a Ninth stage Sovereign. He was ready to show off to his monstrous Student only to have his hopes shattered. From what he knew of Grey, even though he was only an Eighth stage Sovereign, a regular Ninth stage Sovereign would not be able to even touch a hair on his body in a fight. Grey scratched his head awkwardly when he saw his Teacher’s reaction, “I got lucky.” “What’s that punk’s cultivation stage?” Chris asked, wanting to know if at least Klaus could give him some hope that reality was still intact. Grey knew that the person his Teacher referred to as punk is none other than Klaus, “He’s in the Seventh stage already, Alice and Reynolds should be breaking through to the Seventh stage shortly as well.” Chris almost fainted from shock, unsure of how to react. He wondered if he did not train hard enough, or if these kids were just blessed by the world itself. At the thought of this, he recalled something and said softly in a serious tone, “There’s something I’d like to discuss with you.” Seeing the seriousness in his Teacher’s face, Grey was a little concerned and said, “What is it about?” The Principal was hurt the last time he saw him, so seeing his Teacher suddenly become so serious, he was worried something might have happened. His Teacher realized his expression must have worried Grey and elaborated, “It’s about you. When I returned I heard something that confused me.” Hearing this, Grey’s brain raced as he tried to deduce what it could be, it did not take him a long time before he figured out what it could be. Transmitting his voice to his Teacher he asked, ‘Is it about my elements?’ His Teacher was present when he did both his affinity tests and knew that he was only a Dual Elementalist at the time with the earth and lightning element. Hearing that Grey could use the space element and other elements naturally stumped Chris, shocking him greatly. The others did not know Grey from when he was a kid, so they only saw him as a genius among geniuses. Chris’s case was different, he saw Grey when his heart was shattered after his first test. He also witnessed the joy in his face when he became a Dual Elementalist. Finding out that the same kid now has six elements shocked him greatly, so he was a little curious about it.
