CHAPTER 12
Ariel was starting work today and Sara was so delighted and happy for her friend, although she had not been lucky or fruitful in her own job search, she was still elated.
"Sara does this t-shirt match my jeans?" Ariel asked and Sara laughed.
"My dear, you are going to work and not to some fashion parade, where everyone is going bro compliment your outfit or vice versa, just wear anything that fits you and off you go, and have you also forgotten that you are going to change into the store's uniform, or wait are you trying to impress someone?" Sara asked her friend winking at her suggestively.
"Oh please, cut the crap, can't a girl just look good for once ehhhh." Ariel replied chuckling loudly.
Sara thanked God for the day the she met Ariel, she did not know how she would have gone this far without her lovely friend by her side.
"Whatever, meanwhile there's something you'll do for me, should I shoot?" she asked.
"What is it?" Ariel asked her.
"I need you to deliver a note to Christian for me." she said raising her eyebrows pleadingly, she knew she had to beg her friend, cause at times she could be stubborn, and might even refuse to help her.
Ariel chuckled and answered-"On one condition?"
Oh, oh Ariel what is it again?, hope it's not something that will stress me." she asked.
"Not at all, love." She giggled- "Is this shirt good with the jean, or should I change it?"
Rolling her eyes, Sara replied "This talk again, yes it's nice and the jeggins accentuates your curves nicely, is that not what you wanted to hear, now back to me."
"Back to who, I am not done yet, which slippers or slide is best for the outfit, and should i put on little makeup?" she asked and Sara sighed loudly but with a smile.
"Miss, just do whatever you like, whatever you know will fit you just right and what will attract Daniel or whatever his name is to you today, but please and please don't forget to give this note to Christian."
"Ummmmn, ok ma'am, and what does the note even say.?" Ariel asked suggestively as she moved to open the envelope in which the letter was sealed.
Sara quickly collected the note so fast that it nearly tore.
"Babe, chill ain't gonna snitch, just wanted to get a reaction which I did, damn if this is how love makes one possesive then I want to fall in love too, Awwwwwwwn, someone is in love." Ariel said giggling loudly and uncontrollably.
"Shush, someone might hear you, and mind you am not in love." Sara replied, she could not even believe herself any longer, biting her fingernails something she did whenever she was lying, she immediately removed it, but she was late as her friend exclaimed-
"Oooouuuu, I was right all along, you are definitely in love, you are biting your fingers or are you not still sure if yourself, tell me, you know you can't hide anything from me right."
She moved to take a seat and offer a listening ear when Sara smiled, stopped her and said... "Ariel love, I guess this love talk thing is not going to lead us anywhere, you are late for work, and i have a job appointment at that bar downtown by 6, the earlier you run along, give Christian my note, and start your daily duties, the better for me and you."
"Yes, the better for us but don't forget this conversation is not working over."
Ariel said as she grabbed her bag, collected the note from Sara, and went off.

After she had abruptly ended the call two nights ago, Christian had not heard from Sara again, she had promised to call or text him, but he hadn't seen any.
He had texted her the venue of the date yesterday night, after he bought some call card on his cell, but he hadn't gotten a response, if she had seen it, or anything, his inbox still remained blank.
Trying not to think too much as he was taking the inventory of the store, he heard the door to the shop open, he looked up to see if he could attend to the customer as Daniel, had went to use the restroom.
Ariel, Sara's friend walked in, he had totally forgotten that she was going to start work today, all his thoughts had been about Sara, he couldn't think straight.
He was delighted and disappointed at the same time, he had thought that the day Ariel started working for him, that is the first day she would come, Sara would also follow her. But it seemed reverse was the case, as she came alone.
"Hello handsome." she greeted.
"Hey, pretty how you doing." he asked.
"I'm doing fine, what of Dani?"
"Dani..... Actually he went to use the restroom, he'll soon be back." They were now on short term name basis.
Chuckling to himself, Christian decided to show her round the shop.
"Lest I forget, Sara said I should give you this note."
Sara had sent her to him, to say he was relieved was quite an understatement, reaching out to collect the envelope he quickly kept it in his trouser pocket, and proceeded to tell Ariel her duties in the he shop.
When he was done, he told Ariel to deliver some goods to some customers, to test her delivery skills, then he went to the store room, got a chair and sat down to read the letter.
It read-
"Christian love, I apologise profusely for not calling you after what happened that night, I didn't purposely ignore your confessions (I'll explain everything to you when we see) something really came up and my phone is not a good one, it's been giving me headache ever since. I saw your text telling me the venue of the date. I love it, and I think this date will be a memorable one. See you till then."

She had called him love even in the letter, Christian smiled at her pert little handwriting and was finally relieved at last.
