CHAPTER 14
"Hello, good evening Christian."
Christian checked his phone screen twice to confirm if it was Sara at the other end of the line, cause he could recognize her voice but not the number.
"Hello love." he replied, he had been patiently waiting for her call since he had sent her back a note through Ariel earlier today.
"Hey, I got your note, Ariel delivered it to me safe and soundly." she said, chuckling silently.
"Hmmmmmmmn, so how was your day, meanwhile whose number is this, your parents, brother's or Ariel's own?" he asked, he wanted to save the contact, so he could call her with this one when her main line didn't go through.
She became silent for a little while, he thought if network or service had started fucking them up again.
"Hello, Sara love, are you there." he asked quietly.
"Uhmmmmm, Sorry you were saying.....?" she trailed of again.
Something was not right, he had noticed that anytime he made mention of her parents or anything family related, she had a penchant for keeping quiet.
Was there something important she was hiding?
Keeping secrets like this when they had not even started dating properly was bad.Or was she an orphan? Trying not to let his thoughts get over him he said- "I was asking who had the number you used to call me now, I noticed it's not yours cause it's not saved on my phone. I wanted to know so if I call you and your main line doesn't go through, I can just try this one,but if you don't want to tell me then it's fine, honestly." he didn't want her getting bereaved or emotional just by a simple question, their last call hadn't ended well,and he didn't want this one to be the same.
"No it's nothing, actually the number is Ariel's, i wasn't having call card on mine that's why i used hers." she answered.
"Oh ok, no problems, so how was your day? he asked.
"Fine, fun and fantastic, yours?" she asked him again, her tone had changed and it was now lighter and happier, he never wanted to be the cause of her tears instead he wanted the opposite.
He wanted to make her laugh, smile, be filled with happiness and so on.
"I had a normal boring day, I am back from the construction site and now I have eaten and now I'm talking to you, so I guess I have not had a fun day like you, So i am all ears like gist me,what made your day fun and fantastic without me in it, i want to know every single detail, like from the starting to the end, hmmmmmmmn." She was chuckling quietly, her voice so sexy and pert.
He wished he was right there with her,he could have kissed her already.
"You work at a construction site, and at the store again, I don't understand? she said.
She was very inquisitive this one, yeah she was.

He worked at a construction site again, doing what, was that the explanation to his build and rugged looks, he did hard work, she was amazed.
"Love, i am a labourer, I work there in the mornings and then i go to the store in the evenings, but today is actually my day off that's why i am not at the store today, so miss answer your question?" he asked her.
"Yeah I'm satisfied."
"Okay,so now you haven't answered my question about how your day was fun, and fantastic without me in it? huh love."
Love, the way he said that word got her all tingly and hot all over. He said it so freely as if they were longtime lovers and not people who had met just 3 weeks ago.
"Well my day was fun, I went to the boutique today to get some new clothes for my new job, i passed my math tests today with flying colors and now I am speaking to you happily, is that not enough to make my day wonderful already." she said smiling while staring at the ceiling in her bedroom.
She was alone in the room and so she could freely talk, laugh and express herself without getting distracted or shy.
"Wow, you have gotten a job so soon, what work is that, and is the pay okay?" he asked her.
"Yes, it's at a bar downtown as a....." she was still talking when he said, "At a bar downtown, as a what?"
"What's with the reaction, as a waitress or bar attendant of course, and the pay is 15 dollars per hour, isn't it nice, it's an exclusive gentleman's club, and they pay and treat their staffs nicely, so remove your thoughts from any irrelevant thing okay."
"Am calm oh very very, I just don't like the idea of you being surrounded by so much men, they wouldn't see a beautiful shiny gold like you and let you go " he said solemnly.
Sara laughed out loud, "Possesive much, oh my, see who's talking my father."
"It's not the matter of being possesive, or anything it's just the damn truth, besides how did they employ a 16 year old girl like you, I thought those establishments were for 18 year olds, what are you doing there, or didn't they check your CV?" he asked her and she smiled again, he was definitely jealous, asking her all these unnecessary questions.
She just smiled and said "Trust me I have my ways."
"Ummmmn, okay oh."
"Ariel's call card is getting finished, it's not night yet, but good night anyways." she didn't want to finish her friend's call card.
"You are ending the call already, can I call you back?" he asked, it seemed he was reluctant to end the call already.
"No, no need, besides we'll see next tommorow our date remember?"
"Yeah right." he chuckled.
"Good night, and sweet dreams, dream of me oh."
Lowering his voice, making it sound so sexy and deep she shivered, he replied, "Always, love always."
