“Ivana,” I called out her name and stretched my hand to touch her shoulder, but her cold gaze made me withdraw my hands. “Are you okay?” I asked her and she didn’t respond. “About what you saw at the practice room…”
“Move,” She cuts me off coldly. “I have other things to do.” She turned to walk away but I held her back. “Let go of me.” I have searched for her for quite a long time to let her go just like this.
“My mother needs you back home immediately,” Ivana looked up at me like I was telling another one of my lies, I know I had told her that I have no relationship with Katherine, but she had witnessed something that would make her believe more in it, so there was nothing I could say that would make her believe me and I was no longer ready to explain anything to her, I owe her no explanation.
“It is urgent,” I added and her cold expression and furrowed brow seemed to relax a bit.
“What is wrong?” She asked me with an expression filled with worry.
“I have no idea, she called me and told me she can’t reach you, we better hurry back home,” I told her not wanting to waste much time explaining what I had no idea of.
“I can go on my own, you still have to audition,” Ivana told me as we made our way to the car, few eyes were watching us and I could hear whispers but couldn’t grasp what they were saying, but I figured it out when I noticed they were glaring at Ivana.
I smiled within me, I wish they could pull her hair rather than glare at her this way, if eyes were daggers Ivana would be dead by now.
"Hinn is performing in my place, he is a good man," I told her and entered the car while she got into the passenger seat and put on her seat belt.
Ivana always remembers to do this even if she forgets every other thing, it seems to me that she doesn't trust me well enough and thinks I can get into an accident while driving.
"Yes, he is." She leaned back to the seat and looked out of the window, she must be avoiding me.
"If he is, why did you reject his proposal?" I had said he was a nice guy and she had agreed. The question made me more curious, Hinn had said she had someone else that was why she rejected him, so I want to hear her say the same thing if it was true.
"Hinn loves someone else, that is the reason." She muttered and I raised my brow curiously. "But it happens that his friend also loves that same girl and is cheating on him with her."
I blink already figuring out what she is saying, she is just so naive. She thinks Hinn loves Katherine and I am cheating on Hinn with Katherine since she saw us kissing just now, this only means one thing.
I furrowed my brow. "So you rejected Hinn Carlos because you think he loves Katherine, not because you don't like Hinn Carlos?"
She turned around with her lips parted, her eyes shone wide and her brows drooped. "Hinn doesn't love Katherine?" She asked me like a complete lunatic. "I thought he did."
I scoffed, this girl was stupid, truly stupid. I started the engine and accelerated without answering, does this mean she will go back to Hinn, have I run my mouth without thinking this time, this was just so unbelievable.
Here I was thinking she had someone else and would truly know who that man was to compare that person with myself and here she was saying something else.
I glanced over at her and saw her smiling and grinning from ear to ear. "You must be so happy after hearing that your prince charming doesn't love someone else."
"Yes, I am so happy." She replied without hesitation and I narrowed my eyes. This girl might think people's hearts are a game.
"Don't even think of going back to Hinn Carlos after you have hurt him and decided to keep him in a friend zone," I warned her, not because of Hinn's gain but because of mine, if she does then my plans will be ruined.
"That doesn't make sense, if he loves me then he would be glad that I am coming back to him, that is definitely what I think." She smirked at me with a glint in her eyes, she must be daydreaming right now.
I stopped the car and turned to her. "I am telling you not to dare tell him you love him." She looked at me like I was the moron instead of her.
She scoffed. "It isn't as if I would do what you said because you said so, that is not any business of yours, whereas you have Katherine and what do you even know about love you devil!" She glared at me.
"What did you just say?" I glared back at her as the corner of her lips turned up.
"You heard me right." She said with gritted teeth.
"Of course I heard you right, why don't I show you what a real devil looks like," I smirked as I unlocked my seat belt and gently moved closer to her and she leaned back.
There was not much room in the car, so there was no place to move to so we were just a few breaths away.
"W-what are y-you doing?" She stammered and I smirked.
"What do you think?" I said softly and looked down at her lips. They were red, she didn't apply any lipstick today, but she just has natural red lips that look like cherries, and I wanted to check how they taste.
I glanced up at her eyes that were very big like two oranges, I smirked. "Why? Don't you want to know what a real devil looks like?"
She pressed her lips together and I leaned closer and our lips brushed against each other, but before I could go in for a real kiss she clasped her hands to her lips and I looked up at her eyes.
"You don't want to?" I raised my brows and she was stiff. I sighed and leaned back in my chair. "This is no fun." I put on my seat belt and started the engine. "It is no fun teasing you."
I accelerated and we heard into traffic, I no longer glance at her, I didn't want to see her expression and I was also scared of what I could do if I look at her lips again, I didn't even know what had come over me those few seconds I leaned close to her, that was no way teasing, my heart has suddenly begun to play tricks on me and I truly need to stop it.
