Chapter 14 – ‘Appraisal,’ Got It!
After earning 10000 SP in half a day, I got the Appraisal skill I was looking for.
The SP I got from Trehobi, who had a level difference of 20, was 3 times more than I expected.

If you add ‘Preemptive Attack,’ ‘First Strike,’ and ‘Magic Critical,’ you can kill Trehobi with a single blow.
Because of my high Luck, I feel that ‘Magic Critical’ is 95% of the time.
I had set a tentative goal of 10000 SP for ‘Appraisal,’ but if it was possible to increase the skill level of ‘Escape’ during that time, I thought I would go for it.
In the end, I still couldn’t increase the skill level of ‘Escape’ even though I had 10000 SP.
If 10000 is not enough, then maybe 12,000, 16,000, or even 20,000.

For the time being, it would be better to prioritize skills that can be acquired with less SP and increase the attack and ability stats.

Of course, my goal was to conquer the dungeon.
The Thicket Dungeon had only one floor, but the Water Park Dungeon had four floors.

Currently, thanks to the Ninja set of ‘Stealth’ and ‘Search,’ it is possible to preemptively attack the enemy in most cases.
Since the effect of the Preemptive Attack skill is “Increases the damage dealt to enemies who are unaware of me by (S.Lv x 20)%,” there is a synergy with the Surprise Attack skill.
At the end of the first floor, I found a portal leading down to the second floor.
There is a black mirror-like object floating in the air, just like the one at the entrance to the dungeon.

The dungeon itself was the same, but the walls were darker than before.

As expected, it is only 10000 SP.
In addition, unlike other skills, the skill ‘Appraisal’ does not generate a bonus to the ability value for the SP required to acquire it.
The same is true for the ‘Simple Appraisal’ and ‘Item Box’ skills.
If you had used 10000 SP to purchase all the normal skills, you would have received 10000 ability value bonuses, which is one of the main reasons why so few people acquire the ‘Appraisal’ skill.
Apart from that, there are a few things to look at in Trehobi’s stats.
First, it has high Agility.
This is probably due to the skills he has in addition to his natural ability value.
Steal and Fleeing, based on their names alone, seem to give a bonus to Agility.
Next, let’s take a look at the skills Steal and Fleeing.

When you use ‘Fleeing,’ you do not gain experience, SP, mana coins, or drop items that you would have gained in combat. It is possible to flee with items obtained through ‘Steal.’

Steal seems to work exactly as I imagine it would work in an RPG.
If I could get it with my high Agility and Luck, I’d be able to steal all the rare items I want.
As for ‘Fleeing,’ the question naturally arises: how is it different from ‘Escape’? The question comes to mind.
I was able to get more information because I had ‘Escape,’ and it turns out that ‘Fleeing’ doesn’t give you SP and stuff.
However, ‘Fleeing’ does not specify an escape area or timer. Does this mean that you can escape immediately when you use it? That’s not fair.
If I could get this with my high Agility, it would be a convenient way to escape in an emergency.
The list of Trehobi drop items is also interesting.
So far, on my Trehobi hunt, I’ve gotten a fair amount of gold nuggets and a few large magic pouches.
Gold nuggets are, as the name implies, cash items. I’m short on cash, so I appreciate it.
The big magic pouches are what we call “magic bags.”
They’re much bigger than they look, and they’re very useful for explorers who don’t have Item Boxes.
They would also be quite profitable to sell.
However, the item (equipment?) called “Thief’s Gloves” has not been dropped yet.
Considering the order in which the items are listed as drop items, it is probably the least likely to drop.
Or maybe it can only be obtained with Steal.
Despite the various discoveries, it is dangerous to ponder in the dungeon.
I spent a lot of time earning, and I was pressed for time.
I want to move on quickly, defeat the dungeon boss, and escape through the portal at the back.
Most C-rank dungeons are known to have no traps.
This Black Swan Forest Water Park dungeon was also clearly stated on the wiki to have no traps.
Of course, I can’t quite believe it, but I haven’t encountered any traps yet.
I use ‘Search’ to look for enemy movement and predict the location of portals to the next floor based on the flow and placement of enemy movement.
The composition of a dungeon is similar to that of an ant nest, which I once did as a summer research project using a kit that allowed me to observe an ant nest from the side.
So is a dungeon a nest of monsters? I think not.
Anyway, I went to the portal to the third floor, hunting Trehobis and avoiding the Rock Golems I encountered along the way.
