The training was fucking torture to my men because today of the whole day I was a mean bastard to them. I made them all run in circles without shifting because I wanted them to exercise their human body as well. It had started the initial grumbling. I then made them train in the human form. From attacking to defending I didn't know why I decided to do that but when I did it I was glad to discover that my men are lazy fucks. They were used to their wolf strength and had no clue how to work their human asses. The training was usually done by Liam, Tony or me if I'm available. When I spar it will be usually with either Tony or Liam. In reality, only Tony could spar with me due to close ranks. The ranks are formed after checking the strength of each wolf normally they go through a testing process to determine their true strength which was not the case for me. I was away from my family initially but look at me. I'm exactly where they want me. My mom and dad wanted to protect me so I couldn't live with them.
I wasn't tired but looking at my guys I decided they could use a break. I motioned for the broken sign and they were relieved not to endure my torture any longer. It gave me a clear head now that I have got anger out of my system. I now had a clear picture of how things were happening to me. My mate hasn't changed, she is trying to seduce me but I have turned the table on her. I tried her tactics and that has put her off. I should be more careful, it shouldn't happen again. It won't be long before the seduced becomes the seducer. I was joined by Tony, Liam and Sebastian. They were usually poking fun at me. Tony managed to pull something from my pants. It was her bra. I forgot it was with me all along. "Alpha, is this the reason for your frustration? You only got to first base", he said laughingly. I ignored him as usual. " Hey! What's wrong, you don't sound too happy with the marriage?", Sebastian asked. "It's not the marriage, it's her, my mate," I said. "You mean Angela, what has she got to do? Did she cause anything?", Liam asked. " She doesn't have to cause anything, come on man she is his mate. She is living within some walking distance of him. How do you think that will fair? Tony asked" You better take her back man before something bad happens. You know how it's with her. It's not going to be good", Liam said. "Yes you are dallying with her days before your nuptials is a sign ", Tony added. " I know what I'm doing guys. I don't need advice right now. I brought her because she saved my life", I told them. But she had done things since, like willingly coming on to me. I didn't say that to them. It's better to keep it a secret; there is no point in proving that they are right. She said she was innocent. I want to believe her but it's not easy since I have used up all of my trust only to end up betrayed.
Liam gets a call and he moves away to attend it for better reception. My people are not improved technologically but we have some stuff for surveillance, given to us by the Government. We often are plagued by bad reception but we do have our own solar plant's thanks to the government and their tech. But the women folk refused to use any technology they are still following the old way. Simple and old machines, handmade clothes. Now for the first time, I realise these all could be a performance for my mate. She might be bored with no television. There could be some mistake or else she would never have come like that. Liam ran back to me and his words changed my mind again. "Patrol was attacked in the deep forest near the boundaries. We lost all communications we had to find them. We must organize a search party", he continued. " No need to alarm anyone, for the time being, we can go and find them. More people means noise. Our guys could get killed if they are still alive while their captors try to escape", I told him. "But we have no general idea where to find them. We might have to cover a large area", Li said. " So we better start now. I will be back in a second", I said.
I walked back to the guest room to find her doing some sketching. She was very good at it. "We have to go. No need to pack. Will be back soon". I told her. " Can I ask where? What should I tell Annabeth?", she asked? "She can spare you some time", I answered her back. When we reached the search party everyone was confused to see her with me. But no one asked anything I noted thankfully. We removed our clothes and we weren't shy because we believed that the body is not something to be ashamed of. But she was alarmed by this and turned away quickly. When I shift you better climb on me and hold onto me because if I shift I won't be able to talk".
Situations force us to shift. It gave my wolf great pleasure to be with his mate. I was only taking her for two reasons one was that she would tell me where the attack was going to take place if she had any hand in it. The second is that I don't want to leave my pack unprotected with her, a killer on loose if something happens to me. Only if she is the traitor, among us. I hope she is not. So far she hasn't objected to coming with us. If there is a real threat she will back out only if she knows.
" Keep the surveillance on all the time and contact me through radio. If anyone finds our guys you will call me or Liam. We are looking for our patrol team of two men and a woman. I hope you know your people so I'm not going to do a personal description. Hope we find them good and alive. For our brothers", I cried.
Now is the time for her lecture and I hope she gets it the first time.
" Listen, I'm going to say this only once, get it through your thick head. We are going to hunt down my people who are possibly kidnapped by someone. You can ask me to stop only if it is a matter of life and death. If I do stop then I will drop you wherever I'm and continue alone. I say this once again: I can not talk to you once I shift but you can talk to me. And stop looking at the ground all the time, look me in the eye. I'm not packing any clothes with me to save your modesty. You better get used to the human body", I commanded her. She looked me in the eye but her eyes were wet. It pulled something inside me but I wisely shut it away. I fastened my radio on my hind legs and ordered others to do so. Then I bend to the ground and focus on shifting once I shift. I laid before her and she fumbled but climbed on me fast. I was proud of her for a moment. It came and went as fast.
I waited for a second for everyone to fall behind me after that I went tearing through the clear way to the forest hoping to find my brothers and sister. I hope they endure whatever that has happened to them and wait for us. I wasn't thinking where to go I knew every one of my pack by their name that's the level of love I have for them. It has been more than an hour my mate is silent still. Her heartbeat was very high initially but now it was steady. I know she might need rest each of us went in different directions. I went where my instincts led me and so has them. So far we couldn't find anything. She is weak a human needing rest and sleeps more often than we do. I slow down my pace and slowly come to a halt. She was holding me as her life was depending on it and it kind of was.
I laid on the ground so she could climb down and feeling glad that she did. She felt a little dizzy but caught me then laid next to me. Her hand was still on my coat. I closed my eyes and focused on shifting back. She has closed her eyes when she was blinking and looking back at me laying on my front her hand still on me. She drew it back as she got some electric shock. She pointedly looked me in the eye now it was only the place she looked. I was disappointed for a second that's it I thought I had a great physique. I now understood the actual danger of being alone with her. She being a traitor was the least of that. She was wearing a coat which covered her till the knees. "If you are uncomfortable to look at me pass that coat to me", I motioned towards her coat. She looked relieved she peeled it away from her body and gave it to me. I wrapped myself around it. I'm cold not by a long shot my metabolism was very high compared to humans we can brave any weather unlike them.
The moon was shining on us like a scheming matchmaker making her all the beautiful to me. I quickly looked away and hoped for better self-control than what I had when we were alone last time.
