With a muffled sound, Shane, dragged into Chafne's room, was pushed directly onto the bed and lay there, staring at the ceiling in bewilderment.
Chafne, as enticing as she had been the previous two days, climbed onto the bed, showcasing her stunningly voluptuous figure to the fullest.
The same old formula.
But Shane's mood was even more shattered than it had been two days before.
"Witch, what the hell do you want?"
Shane could only cry out in grief and indignation, while in his heart he made a decision.

When she found out you were here, she wanted to come and get you immediately, but I told her I would take you to Central City. She reluctantly agreed only then."
"Central City?" Shane was slightly startled.
"The Central City of the Moon Demon Territory, my big sister's location." Chafne explained. "In a few days, all the demons will gather there. Then, I'll take you along, and you'll be able to meet Little Ai Yi."
"In a few more days?" Shane blurted out almost without thinking.
"What?" Chafne raised an eyebrow, her smile bordering on laughter. "Does that seem too long to you?"
"No... not at all..." Shane chuckled dryly, but sighed inwardly.
This was way beyond 'too long'—it was unbearably long!
Shane was too aggrieved to speak and decided to change the subject.
"Why are all the demons gathering in Central City in a few days?"
Shane showed appropriate concern for this.
But Chafne looked decidedly irked.
"Isn't it all because of you?" Chafne said huffily. "If it weren't for you, the so-called Hero, emerging suddenly and causing unrest among the Demon Clan and even the other two clans, how could we be so busy?"
"Uh..." Shane immediately clammed up.
As if seeing nothing, Chafne continued to speak.
"In a little while, the three clans—God, Human, and Demon—will hold a tri-racial conference because of your emergence." Chafne elaborated, "Now, it seems both time and place have been set. Plus, with your marriage arrangement with Little Ai Yi, big sister has requested us to gather at the Supreme Castle in Central City in three days."
Saying this, Chafne took on a more earnest tone.
"At that time, you'll need to make an appearance too."
Who could blame Shane for being the center of this conflict?
After all, even after the Demon gathering, he would still likely need to appear at the Three-clan Council.
