Louis was done with the doctor and it was discovered that his system was containing toxins. Those toxins retarded the veins and nerves that would have hastened his recovery.
In a simple language, his ability to recall the lost memory was made to remain retarded. His system first was flushed to take out the toxins with the aid of strong antibiotics and then, he could resume his medication.
According to the doctor, in less than two weeks, Louis will be himself again. The laboratory examination of his previous medication was handed over to him.
"I don't know what your relationship was with that friend of yours but she's capable of destroying your mental health permanently" the doctor warned.
They got back to the car. Louis said they could book a flight immediately and return to Oak City. They were contemplating on that when Lucas' call came through.
"It's Lucas Wright, Pamela's friend," Romeo explained before answering the phone.
"Good to hear from you again, Lucas," Romeo said as soon as he answered the phone.
"Much more than that, it's my honour to inform you that our dear little Ethan has arrived and Pamela requested that I inform you" Lucas blurted.
"My God, wow. Pamela has given birth. Ethan, wow, Ethan Hayden has arrived. I will let his dad know. Congratulations to Pamela. Kindly send me the baby's pictures…" Lucas was excited.
"President Hayden, your son has been born. His name is Ethan Hayden. You're one strong guy to have four soldiers and one princess. Congratulations" Romeo hugged him sweetly.
"Thank you Romeo. I really appreciate your effort by Pamela's side. I will never forget this favour" he said.
Romeo's phone chirped as several photos came in. At the same time, Romeo sent everything to Louis. The latter stared at the cute face of his son.
"He's so cute. My son. My baby is super cute" Louis blurted. His eyes are moist. This is his son and he couldn't be by his mother at such a time, simply because some evil people schemed against them.
"You're a very handsome man sir and Pamela is exceptionally pretty. Your genes are so perfect and this is the result of your good genes.
Even his siblings are super handsome. They're like you. A bloodline of handsomeness runs through your veins.." Romeo complimented.
"Thank you" Louis appreciated it and wanted to call Pamela. He can't remember what he used to save her contact. He'd searched for Pamela on his phone and couldn't find it.
He asked Romeo to call the first few numbers and he hadn't gone halfway when the word "Honey" popped up.
He dialed it and her picture was displayed. She looked beautiful with a bright megawatt smile on her face. His eyes were on the picture and he agreed within himself that she's really a beautiful woman.
But Louis called her twice and she didn't answer her phone. "Looks like she doesn't want to answer her phone" he declared.
"I'll call her" Romeo dialed her contact and Pamela answered her phone. Romeo congratulated her before asking her why she didn't answer Ethan's father's call.
"Don't bring up Louis' name before me, Romeo. I am in a good mood and I don't want it to get soiled by him. Please" Pamela flippantly replied.
"Why are you saying this, Pamela? Louis is Ethan's father. At least answer your Phone when he calls. He is also excited about the baby" Romeo coaxed.
"He can come over and see him whenever he likes. But I don't want to hear his voice" Pamela said and hung up.
"That's it, an irresponsible father like me doesn't deserve talking to the mother of my kids. Can you perceive my misery and failure? Can you see how unfortunate I am?" Louis snorted, Cleaning his tears.
"Don't say that. You're an amazing man and a wonderful father. A sweet doting fiancé to Pamela. You are a great guy. Don't think so unhealthy about yourself, President Hayden" Romeo corrected.
A week later
Louis hadn't been to his Mansion after he returned from Switzerland. He went to the Hayden's Mansion and lodged there. From there, he went to the office.
He wants to stay away and remember everything before returning to his Mansion. Miranda had come to find him in the office several times and pleaded with him to return home.
She missed him and so does their daughter Isabella. Louis was trying his best to put up with her, there's a little more time remaining and everything will blow off.
He told her he would be back soon. She claimed it is not proper for him to miss his medication for long. Louis told her to give him the medication and she promised to bring it to his office everyday. She wants to ensure that he takes it.
And since she is not on good terms with Louis' parents, she couldn't come over to the Hayden's Mansion. That way, everyone stayed put.
On this particular day, Louis was in the office and he felt dizzy. He placed his head on the head rest of his swivel chair and dozed off.
Like a movie his past played before him. Everything from when he came out of coma to the point where his mom slapped him and he suddenly jolted out of sleep with a start.
"Louis" Ellis called. He was the one who woke him up. How can the president of a company sleep off on his chair? What if a guest walked in to find him sleeping?
Louis was breathing hard, his eyes turning bloodshot. His face fierce with a killing intent and he gnashed his teeth, carefully raising himself to stand up.
"Pamela!" He called and ran his hand over his hair, messing it up "my love ahhh…Pamela…Pamela" he groaned, his tears running down his cheeks.
"Pamela? Did you remember now?" Ellis asked, a faint smile appearing on his lips.
"Everything dad, everything. I remembered my fiancée, my kids, Damian, David, Daniel and my darling Dora. Everything I remember. Everything" Louis blurted.
"Wow…congratulations son" Ellis was glad but the next word he heard from Louis frightened him…
