Kelvin was so shocked to see his cousin and this is because no one said anything about him coming. Alfred came out from his room and when Diego saw him, he went to hug him. "Uncle." Diego calls as kelvin stood there watching the scene.
"How was the trip?" Alfred asked.
Kelvin was surprised it was like everyone knew Diego was coming except him.
"It was stressful." Diego whined as Kelvin scoffed. Diego and Alfred heard it and they both turned to look at him.
Kelvin ignored them and went into his room to wait for his father's personal assistant.
"Doris." Alfred calls. A thirty year old woman with braided blond hair and grey eyes entered. "Show Diego to his room so he can freshen up and tell Lucy to prepare something for Diego to eat." Doris nodded. Diego assisted Doris in getting the luggage from the booth into his room.
Diego jumped on the bed and slept off immediately. The trip from San Francisco to New York city wore him out and he has to rest in order to regain the lost strength.
After kelvin was aware Diego was in his room sleeping, he walked up to his father with along face. His father sensing his presence said to him, "I wanted to surprise you." He said without looking at his son.
"Well, I have gotten the surprise, when is he leaving?" He asked.
"Do you still hate him that much?" Alfred turning his attention to his son. "What happened was a mistake and that was ten years ago...you should let sleeping dogs lie."
Kelvin shook his head. He was about to say something when his father's personal assistant arrived. "Hello Mr. Alfred and Mr. Kelvin." The P.A shook hands with Alfred but when he stretched his hand to shake Kelvin, Kelvin walked away from him. Alfred noticed the embarrassment in his assistant's face he had to explain everything to him so he won't be offended. "That's it Kim." Alfred said at the end of the explanation. "Now you see why he is pissed."
Kim nodded.
Kim is a handsome young man in his early thirties; he is vibrant, intelligent and a computer addict. He won lots of computer creation awards and trophies for being the fastest finger computer tech in San Francisco. His fangs teeth were his charm and his ocean blue eyes grabs the heart of any lady with just one stare.
Kelvin joined them downstairs as he and Kim left for the company.
Diego woke up after two hours of taking a nap. He took off his shirt leaving him with his bear chest and the trouser. He went straight to have a shower at the bathroom where he did all he needed to. He grabbed a towel and tied it around his waist. He was drying his hair when the door opened revealing a young lady in her late twenties. The moment her eyes met his body, she immediately shut her eyes. she was about closing the door when Diego gestured her to come in.
Her dark brown eyes couldn't meet his eyes as he was too beautiful for her to behold. "I am sure you came here to say something, say it so I can get dressed." Diego told her.
"Um....Sir. Alfredsaidyoushould..."
Diego didn't hear a word she said he had to gesture her to stop. "turn around." He told her.
The young lady did as she was instructed.
He grabbed a white top and a blue short knicker. After he was through dressing up he said to her, "You can turn around now."
She turned around and was surprised to see him in clothes. She breathe a sigh of relief as she stated her mission, "your uncle said you should come down for dinner." Diego grabbed his phone and got ready to follow the maid. It was when he was close to her he took notice of her features. "What's your name?" he asked her as they walked down the stairs together.
"Kayla." she replied without looking at him.
"Are you so frightful of me?" Diego asked.
Kayla shook her head.
"So why won't you look at me?" He asked her. The moment Kayla looked up at him, he stared deeply into her eyes. "tell me why you won't look at me."
Kayla felt goosebumps rush over her arms at the sound of his voice. How can someone be this cute, have such an amazing body and a sweet and solemn voice to go with it? She thought to herself as she looked away. "Please excuse me." Kayla bowed her head to him and left.
Diego shrugged.
Many people thinks Diego is a player and a bad boy because of how he talks to ladies and how they hover around him but he is an innocent twenty-two years old who hasn't had his first kiss yet. he just has the looks and charms that makes ladies fall for him.
He joined his uncle at the table but to his surprise he couldn't see Kelvin. Alfred knew he was looking for Kelvin so he told him, "He went to the company."
Diego nearly choked at the sound of that because he knew his cousin wasn't interested in business but ladies. He looked at his uncle wondering if he was telling the truth or just pulling his legs.
"Kim was here hours ago to take him to the company." Alfred sip his drink.
Stunned. Diego asked, "Did he say why?"
"The reason he gave is far-fetched. I know there is another reason why he wants to learn but I m just not certain yet." Alfred said.
Diego thought about it. The only time when Kelvin did something he didn't like doing was for a girl he was in love with in high school but ever since the girl broke his heart, he stopped displeasing himself to please anyone and now he is doing exactly that but could it be for the same reason? He thought as he ate his meal while he and Alfred chatted.
