Chapter 131: The Arrival of Nangong Shui
"Oh! Have a seat for a while; I’ll cook for you. Let’s see how my cooking skills are?"
Mu Yang’s bell-like laughter echoed, and she bustled about.
It seemed that moving in today was just a pretext.
"If there’s nothing else, I should be going now, otherwise my wife will start to worry," Lin Zifeng didn’t want to stay any longer as the situation seemed a bit fishy. If he continued to linger, who knew what complications might arise?
"Hey! Don’t rush off. I bought a lot of groceries today. You should at least have a meal before you go. Let’s see how my cooking is."
Seeing Lin Zifeng getting restless, Mu Yang quickly stepped forward and blocked his way with open arms.
"Manager Mu, you’re not moving today after all, and now you want me to stay for dinner? You’re not falling for me, are you?" Lin Zifeng asked, smoking his cigarette and looking at her with a half-smile.
Under Lin Zifeng’s gaze, Mu Yang seemed unnerved and began to feel awkward, her lightly made-up, clean face blushing slightly.
"Wha-what? How could that be possible? I could never fall for you. Originally, I planned to move tonight, but, you see, I thought on my way here that living here isn’t too bad. So, I decided not to move after all. Since you’re already here, why not stay for a meal before leaving, and see how good my cooking really is? Rate it for me. If I ever get a boyfriend, they say you need to capture a man’s heart through his stomach. Since you’re also a man, you’d have the most say."
This woman was seriously amusing. Wanting to keep Lin Zifeng here, why come up with such a strange excuse?
Even if you needed a man to taste-test your cooking, why on earth must it be me?
Lin Zifeng was somewhat puzzled: "Uh... just so you know, I am an omnivore. I can eat anything that’s edible."

Mu Yang showed a delighted expression, then, feeling very sweet inside, dashed to the kitchen, not forgetting to make a victory gesture.

Meanwhile, Nangong Bing had just returned home only to discover her father, Nangong Shui, leisurely sitting on the sofa with Huahua, snacking and watching Korean dramas!
Nangong Bing, already in a bad mood, felt her temper flare even more.
"Dad! How come you’re here?"
The sudden visit from her father surprised Nangong Bing. Wasn’t he abroad? How come he had returned all of a sudden?
Moreover, returning should at least warrant a phone call first; she had received no news at all, and he had just shown up out of the blue, and even arranged an fiancé for her!
"Oh? Bingbing, you’re back?"
The middle-aged man looked benign despite his silver hair, which did not make him seem old at all. In fact, his skin was even more radiant than that of some younger people. Wearing a loose traditional Chinese robe and holding a purple clay teapot, he appeared quite energetic.
Every movement exuded an overwhelming and profound aura.
"Oh, Bingbing, how do you feel about the person I introduced to you?"
The middle-aged man had a gentle smile, his tone filled with indulgence, clearly treasuring his daughter as if she were his life.
Meanwhile, Huahua was munching on snacks while staring with wide, puzzled eyes, "Uncle, who did you introduce to my cousin? Do I know him?"
Just as Nangong Shui was about to explain, Nangong Bing interrupted, "That! Dad, the bodyguard you introduced, I, I am quite satisfied with him, except for his idleness all day long."
To prevent Huahua from knowing the truth, Nangong Bing was still a bit scared. If Huahua knew, who knows what would happen, it might just shock the poor girl to death!

Mu Yang, like a demure housewife in an apron, had a blushing face that was slightly excited and rosy, as this was the first time she cooked a meal for a man.

"Here, just eating isn’t enough, right? Let’s drink some red wine, how romantic."
Watching Mu Yang’s satisfied face as she went to fetch the wine, Lin Zifeng began to worry a bit inside.
"Drink wine? Do we really need to?"
"What’s the problem? You’re not driving tonight anyway. Even if you get drunk, it’s no trouble. My house is big enough. If you can’t go home tonight, just stay over. I won’t eat you up."
